APPEARANCE: A woman of short stature but beautiful nonetheless, Raede has an elegance that comes with her maneuverability. She's lithe and fluid, dexterity provided from birth and training. With her training and lifestyle, her frame is slender but toned.
She only stands at 5 feet and 2 inches, weighing roughly 115 pounds. Her hair extends to the middle of her back, a strawberry-blonde hue with locks naturally tinted chestnut, which is accompanied by honey-brown oculars. Raede has alabaster skin, freckles along her cheeks and face, even sported on her shoulders and other areas if they're exposed to sunlight.
ATTIRE: She doesn't wear anything out of the ordinary, considering her objective is to blend in -- to hide. Usually, she wears common clothing consisting of knee-high boots, pants, a long-sleeve top and a jacket with a hood. The attire varies, though.

PRIVATE INFORMATION
PERSONALITY: Raede possesses many facets to her personality. She was once a naive, gentle and compassionate padawan of a Jedi master, thinking of others before herself. With that, she was a true hero of the light, a leader within her group and strong, thinking that she'd remain as strong during difficult times. Well, she was wrong, so wrong.
She's broken. She's a shell. She's now aware of the malignant evil-doers of the galaxy. She gained the knowledge through experience, rather than just archives. She's paranoid and afraid said forces will return, will seek her out -- and if not them, the Jedi she deserted. This reflects the negative aspects of her personality. Her fear and skepticism make her cautious, distrusting, reserved and selfish. She prefers to wallow and sulk in isolation to keep herself safe, to be detached from the outside world. But to be so conflicted and guilt-ridden has left her prone to falling to the darkside, teetering between conflicting emotions, teachings and sensations. In a way, it almost appears as if she's unstable, which could be truth. She might even be considered vengeful, wanting justice for her Jedi master. She can be in turmoil with her emotions, but that's usually an internal conflict. She has to retain an unsuspecting facade...
Despite her faults, Raede has survived thus far -- although it might be partly due to her luck with the force. She's quick to adapt to a situation, resourceful, utilizing whatever possible to get a task done. She's also cunning, even if it slightly inches toward manipulation -- it shows her once charismatic personality -- she doesn't want people to see through her fake exterior or smile, so if she needs to force her opinion on them, she'll try. She's also intelligent, well-versed in languages and knowledge of the force and subjects of the galaxy. Raede can be intuitive, knowing when something or someone seems off or awry. While she may be in conflict with her feelings, Raede has a locked-mind -- she'll do her best to feign a calm demeanor while keeping her thoughts guarded as much as possible. Probably because of the force and her intelligence, she's quick to learn from her mistakes, lessons or traps, etc.
She is still kind at times, extending a hand, but she usually never sticks around for long. While she still has a cheery, friendly disposition, it's obscured with all the thick disgust and problematic mindset. If she befriends a person, she's not exactly sure how she'd react (perhaps retain a cold, private demeanor), but she generally appreciates trust, kindness and respect. It makes her think that there's still good in the world... that she still has a chance of redemption.
A strong connection to the force makes it harder for Raede. She's susceptible to influence, likely to feel immense levels of emotions or sensations, and she's a target. In more ways than one, she dislikes being force sensitive, sometimes wishing she was born without it.

Reflexively Fluid - She's equally fast on her feet as with her mind and frame.

Guilt-Ridden - It plagues her, eats away at her. She is more prone to falling to darkside tendencies... if she hasn't already.
Strong Force Connection - A double-edged sword. She feels she's more of a prey, more susceptible to unfortunate events or wrong choices connected with either the darkside... or light. She doesn't want to hurt anyone.
Deserter - Paranoia and other contributing traits have led her to be a fleeting creature; she will often leave to protect herself and others.
Rusty - She might not be the best shooter out there, and her skills are hardly honed, but that doesn't mean she'll back-down easily if pressed in a corner.
BIOGRAPHY: Raede was born into the Sedaya family, a moderately-wealthy house on Alderaan. While she wasn't consider true nobility or high-royal birth, Raede's family was ultimately above servants for specific houses. Not that she had to worry much about her future on Alderaan, considering that the Jedi stumbled upon her childhood-self when she was, well, a child. They sensed the force potential and took the child... with the permission of her parents, of course.
She heard stories of the Jedi, heard of the force -- it was such an ever-expanding topic throughout the galaxy... how could she not find curiosity in such a grand thing? It was kind of like a dream for her to join the Jedi order. Their beliefs, customs, etc., all seemed like a fantasy; Raede would soon be living it, adapting it to her reality.
The human child learned the teachings of the Jedi Order, first starting as a Youngling. Basic knowledge was imparted on her, but it was her eagerness to learn that helped her prevail within the class of pupils. Like the majority, she'd pass, taking a step from Youngling to Padawan. A master took interest in her strong force potential and natural leadership qualities, and that master was none other than Alenko Vakari. Master Vakari was a wise man, but utilized unorthodox methods to teach his disciple -- it was kind of refreshing, to look at the world with the force in his perspective. It wasn't strange that they'd develop a Master and Padawan force bond. Raede persevered, headstrong and determined to prevail. He taught her many things, and she underwent many tasks, lessons and missions. She eventually crafted her lightsaber, and became practiced with several forms and powers. What she had yet to experience, she read in the archives. Her trials were steadily approaching, coming close, but she'd never succeed, she'd never become a consular, knight or sentinel... No, destiny -- or the force -- had other plans... She was never prepared for something so extreme.
A difficult task was requested of the duo: infiltrate a ship. Not just any ship, a ship that belonged to a Sith Lord. Master Vakari had fought many in his time, but this was the first true hardship Raede would have to overcome. Unfortunately, it would be his downfall. They triumphed over the Lord's crew, however, the Sith Lord himself was another matter entirely... a league of his own. Master Vakari might have overestimated his Padawan's skills, her willpower, but as the battle progressed, the Sith Lord tempted her mind, twisted her thoughts. He was trying to manipulate her, trying to turn her to the dark side. Vakari became preoccupied in trying to deflect the advances. He attempted to spare Raede of the darkside, but in his endeavor, he left himself vulnerable. Battling with the Sith Lord while Raede waited with bated breath, Vakari was disarmed, lightsaber broken.
He was the bait, dangled above his fearful, conflicted Padawan. The manipulative Lord goaded Raede to rush forward, while her Master wisely and calmly tried to tell her to dismiss the temptation. Placed within a difficult position, she did what any frightened 'child' would do. She fled. Flight over fight. She listened to Master Vakari, who advised that she spare her own life and not clumsily rush the Lord. She could have fought, could have protected her Master, but, instead she took the cowardly route. The Lord wouldn't stop her escape... He had what would cripple and torture her, heck, almost kill her. As her ship flew away, she felt the despair and pain of Master Vakari, felt the overwhelming sensation of his death through the bond they shared. It drove her to the brink of extinction, shattered her mind... She collapsed, the force betraying her... a price for betraying her master.
It was... surprising to find that she had survived the intensity of that turmoil. Maybe it was her will to desperately live? She didn't know... Truthfully, she wondered if she was even alive as she awoke on the ship... to be so violently detached, maliciously attacked... Raede felt like a shell of emptiness. She would never come back from this offense... least, she has yet to. Faced with raw emotions and feelings, she mourned her Master. Anger swelled up inside her... she was conflicted with the teachings of the Order. She found disdain in the force, realized it was a terrible tool for manipulation -- she was giving into the dark temptation, it seemed, but she knew her Master wouldn't condone such things. She didn't know what to do, didn't know how to handle the situation. She feared returning to the Jedi Order, feared their reaction of the news -- though she was sure they'd have felt the disturbance by then. She was afraid that the Sith Lord would find her somehow, feed more on her emotions... But what could she have done?
She fled... like before. It was how she found her way to Nar Shaddaa. The planet was infested with crime, sure... but it was a great place to hide. Raede touched down on the planet, where she soon invested her time in odd jobs. She needed to hide her past in order to survive, but it was something impossible to come to terms with. She did her best to hide her identity by taking on an alias, also keeping her lightsaber as a last resort. She utilized the force to conceal her signature... to make others believe she was just a commoner, or just a worker of whatever task she accepted. And, in her own quarters on the planet, in her own isolation and privacy, she'd unleash the fresh pain, the festering wound. Each and every time...
It has yet to heal, but she does her best to control it. She tries to maintain her force abilities and combat maneuvers, as well as keeping her identity a secret. She lives life as a deserter, one who still battles the consequences of her actions to this very day -- whether she loses or wins is all up to 'fate'. But, in a galaxy far, far away... it is the force that weaves the web of destiny... is it not?
