Power cutting capabilities.
+ Lightsaber Resistant: Made up of a cortosis-weave, the techblade is capable of clashing against lightsabers and other forms of blades.
+ Power Cutter: Similar to the lightsaber, the techblade is capable of cutting through various tougher materials and thinner layers of durasteel.
Weaknesses:
- Electricity-Based: As with techblades in general, it holds a few weaknesses that surround electricity. EMP-type weapons short it out temporarily as well as it connecting with other sources of electricity could not only result in it electrocuting the user, but potentially generating an explosion.
- Running on Batteries: Many components of the techblade are powered by energy cells, and not having an extra one on hand to replace the old one will cause the blade to power down and lose much of its dueling power.
- Weight: The techblade requires a large amount of strength to wield and attack fluently, and strikes with the weapon are slower than a typical lightsaber or vibroblade and can potentially be dodged by one with a higher dexterity.
DESCRIPTION
The techblade was first created at approximately 3,940 BBY, during the time of the Old Republic. It came under possession of now-infamous Trandoshan hunter Qyzen Fess, who is known for his role to play in the Cold War between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire in which he fought to dissolve the Children of the Emperor. Following the war, Fess joined the alliance of various galactic powers in order to take down the Eternal Empire. The Trandoshan proceeded to use the techblade among many other weapons for the remainder of his life. After his death, the blade was kept by his clan and kept as a relic to remember a member of their own that fought on the side of the galaxy against hidden invaders. In modern day, Qaarssk Roark was granted the blade after having been used by exemplary hunters each generation. Now, he takes it into battle with him to bring honor to the memory of the weapon.
