PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Quinton is a striking and athletically shaped figure usually equipped with an unnatural facial expression of equanimity. He possesses a strong silhouette and frame with level shoulders and a posture that demonstrates composure and control; a key skill learnt from his parents.
From a distance, one would expect him to be human, though on closer inspection, it can be seen that he possesses natural striations across his face that contour his skin to reveal his near-human origin. He looks slightly older than his years with the presentation of a thirty-year-old human, with loose and wavy back hair drooping to either side of his face to reveal the extent of his skin, as well as his lightly yellowed eyes.
INVENTORY
Clothing:
Quinton is typically seen wearing a black synthetic robe that comfortably layers his physique and possesses extra leather-padded protection around his joints and biceps – almost like an armband. On the padded sections is the small insignia of a Starship flying over a mountain; a signal of his family business – The Vorn Sales Group.
Weapons:
- Blaster Pistol – a small calibre pistol he can easily conceal in his clothing.
- A Small Vibro-knife that can be seen attached to the outside of his boots.
Quinton Vorn was the child of a luxury space-yacht dealer, Harbourne Vorn, and his wife Shiloh Vorn. He spent the first few years of his life in a middle-class city estate on the mid-rim planet of Corellia. His mother ran her own business, the Vorn Sales Group, which focused on the import of rare and exotic items, artifacts and weapons for collectors and archivists. Quinton quickly became fascinated with the prospect of ancient relics and the history of the galaxy and, with the assistance of private tutoring, excelled academically on his home planet. What was unknown to Quinton's parents was his affinity for psychometry – seeing notes from the past embodied on old objects.
It was only when he became a teenager of fifteen that Quinton, however, discovered he was force sensitive. During an attack from a bully in his school dormitory, he tapped into the emotional part of his mind and telekinetically repelled his assailant – causing them significant injury. Scared of his true self and vulnerable, his parents recalled him to join them in their work-focused lifestyle. Quinton took a role as an Executive in his mother's business and accompanied her on purchases, sales and expeditions to all corners of the galaxy to recover ancient artifacts.
This trade taught him a lot. He learnt about management, dealing with the emotional and mental gymnastics of others and reading people. His mother was astute at her trade and it echoed in Quinton's dealings.
To keep physically competent, Quinton spent time managing his body and participating in physically arduous expeditions across the galaxy. He assisting digging teams, cascaded down cliff-faces and assisted with the combat aspect of exploration – becoming a keen shot and gifted with a small blade.
Still, this lifestyle left a lot to be desired. More time spent in ancient ruins, seeing hints of the past and coming across relics weighed on the young man's mind. He wanted more from his force sensitivity, more from his life than simply seeking monetary reward in everything he did and a way to train his abilities to become closer to the force around him.
Hours and hours of studying went by, during hyperspace travel around the galaxy and the more he heard of the variety of force users out there, the more he wished to seek out someone to help him train. Perhaps even show him new ways of living.
He took the decision to step down from his role as an Executive at the age of Twenty-Six and begin to seek further knowledge alone.
STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES
STRENGTH:
- Commercially Aware – Quinton has spent years in the Corporate lifestyle and so has a keen eye for the motives of others;
- High-Stress Management – Quinton has a high tolerance for difficult situations and keenly accepts adversity as a way to learn – he is confrontational, yet calm;
- Private School Greatness – Quinton has developed a keen intellect and affinity for physical sports and combat.
- Private School Un-greatness - He's well rounded, but over-confident and unpredictable;
- Vulnerable to the Force – Quinton is untrained and ignorant to the extent of abilities that his force sensitivity affords him;
- Naïve – Quinton has a lot to learn about the galaxy, the state of things outside of his old holopads and his role in the galaxy. He's vulnerable to those more aware of the bigger picture.
