- Presence of Mind: In essence the Quill of Fortune specializes in one thing- literature and how to present it exceptionally. Those who own Saarai's quill will find it bring clarity of mind, when they wish to write and words simply come to them more easily. Furthermore... they do not even need to touch the Quill. It acts on its own, using the connection between itself and the owner to write down what the latter wants or needs.
- Boost of Memory: Furthermore it increases the memory of those that possesses one. They will be able to memorize more, remember more and the memories themselves are much more clear.
- Recognition of Prose: Similarly to the Translation talismans of old the Quill of Fortune assists with comprehending foreign languages. Unlike them the Quill's influence is not instantaneous, instead Saarai expected a good work ethic of those that utilize the artifacts. One must write frequently, read much and will slowly begin to recognize the rules of language. That is the other flip-side. It is not restricted to Sith Pureblood. Instead? The impartment of language seems to be somewhat randomized. From one day to the next the writer might suddenly recognize several new Tapani idioms they hadn't been aware of before. A succession of Hapan nouns revolving around their royalty might suddenly filter through. It has occurred that a wielder of a Quill suddenly writes down a poem in pentatonic Atrisian.
- Exceptional literature comes from these quills.
- Clarity of mind and presence.
- Sharp point. Stabby. They don't like that tho.
- No more crampy hands...
- It's a quill.
- Fragile.
- The Lightside.
- Force-Null Fields.
- They can be quite snarky in their own dry way.
- An insistent need to gather books and create libraries.
- Cramp in the brain, if overused.
Early on Saarai found that the more his prowess in the Force increased, so did his clarity of mind.
Writing became a hobby, then a way of life for him. From the thinnest margins of the bureaucratic machine to the sharpest of poems. It was life to him. It didn't take long for him to realize that those in his presence found a similar way. It was as if he was rubbing off on them. [member="Tabigarashu Madara"] was the first, but not the last. Eventually Saarai figured it out. Then he began to utilize the feathers he had been collecting, when they fell off and made way for new things.
Alchemizing them.
Imbuing them with his concentrated force.
As a result they come with a metaphorical piece of him. They write on their own, drawing from the connection they create with their owner. They impart their possessor with a clear mind, a clear memory and creativity beyond counts. In return? Every holder seems to have some need to create knowledge. Then to preserve it. From Hirou's library to more. His friends seem to fulfill some need with it.
The Quills have a strange form of humor too.
They have been known to scribble witty haikus in the margins of their work. Or small drawings with clear Thirriken roots. Some of them seem to be making fun of their owner. Others offer advice of some sort. On some level they seem to have a mind of their own.
