He didn't know. He really wasn't sure who all knew, or if anyone had made it out in time. Gods, he hoped they did. Aiden had advised his retinue to take who they could and return home immediately. It was shortly after that the blast happened. It would make sense to destroy the temple so no one else could gather anything. Deep six everything before the Sith could take anything else.

Smart... but dangerous.

Aiden's eyes slowly opened, his body half buried in sand, debris scattered around him. He coughed, taking the first full breath he could since regaining consciousness. He coughed again as he rose to his knees, surveying the destruction around him. He leaned forward, his hands moving through the sand, searching, not frantically, but urgently. Rising back up and resting against his knees, he realized his lightsaber was gone.

The Jedi Knight rose to his feet. The smell of smoke and charred ruins filled the air, and there he saw the first of them, those who hadn't made it. Jedi. He didn't know them, but he had been here to help them nonetheless.

Failure.

Aiden closed his eyes, clearing his mind as he looked up, focusing his energies and pushing through the subtle shift of darkness. He focused his mind on what mattered most at the time: getting out of this alive. There were two he was after, though he wasn't sure what had happened to them.

The Jedi set out, the smell of smoke filling his lungs and the sight of fires rising nearby. As he moved to look for survivors from the blast and subdue any Sith remaining, his lightsaber was gone, but he still had the Force.

That was more than good enough.
