- Description: The Queen Karina Hospital, named after the former Geonosian queen Karina the Great, is a medical care and researc facility funded by Csillian Labs. This impressive facility is capable of treating thousands of injured personnel annually with it's impeccable staff and state-of-the-art medical technology. The building is 6 stories high and the hospital takes up about 11 acres. The building has around 1,000 professional medical personnel and over 40,000 employees in total.
POINTS OF INTEREST
- Surigcal Ward - The Surgical Ward is the section of the hospital where patients with surgical conditions. This ward has around 150 rooms for resting patients and 20 surgery rooms.
- Medical Ward - The Medical Ward, the largest ward of the hospital, is the area where general medical needs are satisfied. This ward has 400 rooms for patients and all the necessary medical equipment.
- Maternity Ward - Where miracles happen. The maternity ward has 100 delivery rooms and 200 bedrooms for expecting mothers to safely and efficiently bring their bundles of joy into the galaxy. Qualified midwives patrol these halls in order to provide everything a mother will need during the labor process.
- Intensive Care Unit - The ICU, located within the Surgical Ward, is for critical emergencies involving patients. It is here that the best and brightest of Queen Karina's Hospital work diligently to save all of it's patients.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
When Sila fled from the clutches of the Iron Empire and into the welcoming arms of the Confederacy, she was able to put forth some of her plans she had on the backburner. One was the creation of a super hospital that would be the envy of the galaxy. With the aid of the Viceroyalty behind her, Sila Blaire was able to establish the Queen Karina Hospital on the Maramere capital of Point Modie. As the construction neared completion, Sila Blaire reached out to former contacts in the Chiss Ascendency and new contacts in the Confederacy and was able to acquire the employees necessary to efficiently operate the hospital's facilities.
