The Toskos Shipwrights decided to field a new ship with their ancient Quarren designs of the Providence and the Recusant. Along with the lineup was a Quarren cruiser, leaving the frigate as a missing spot in the formation. The first prototypes were built with regular durasteel as they were simply testing the designs. The trials went better than expected leading to a full shakedown run of a fully finished testing unit. A run that unexpectedly would cost the CEO his life and leave Binn without a husband. Seeing how the Tingle Arm Coalition waltzed in leaving the small Quarren Defense Force unable to respond quick enough, the Test ship was caught by the overwhelming force and destroyed before it could get away. Binn as her first act as emergency CEO (Then elected CEO) was to move the Quarren Frigate to full production with their native metal alloy. Making the craft a capable & versatile addition to the QDF, able to go in a pack of three to raid enemy territory.
