SPECIAL FEATURES
- Quadria gives off a dull glow naturally, however the more force energy it consumes the brighter it glows. This energy is stored near indefinitely as no Quadria crystal has ever been recorded to dim after reaching peak brightness (roughly that of a Light Bulb).
Force Sapper: Refined Quadria, if directly exposed to an individual, begins to absorb force energy from them. The more force energy it absorbs the brighter it glows. The amount of "force power" that Quadria can absorb is dependent on its size. A piece as large as the individual has the potential to drain him/her down to being near force dead for a couple of hours after contact has been broken. Should the piece be roughly a quarter the size of the individual it can bring them down to apprentice level. These effects are never permanent, lasting only a few hours after contact has been broken with the material. Quadria tends to drain the force at a steady but slow pace.
Artificial Growth: Raw Quadria has the ability to absorb decomposing organic matter. For every six millimeters of organic matter absorbed this way the Quadria crystal grows a single millimeter
Weaknesses:
Radioactive: Raw Quadria is incredibly radioactive making it difficult to obtain.
Tendency to Explode: Refined Quadria, should it be hit with military grade EMP pulses or Ion blasts. A lump of Refined Quadria roughly the size of a thermal detonator has a similar blast.
Fragile: Although Quadria is incredibly durable to kinetic damage, nearly any form of concentrated energy (such as blasters or light sabers) can make short work of it, shattering it into tiny pieces or destroying it all together.
Stunted: The natural growth of Quadria is nearly non existent, solely relying on absorbing organic matter to grow.
DESCRIPTION
Much of Quadria's exact nature is still theoretical. When an asteroid crash landed into Hollastin (perhaps even guided there by the hutts so they could study it on one of their worlds) it proved with a bang that what was until then a theoretical concept did truly exist. Quadria proceeded to grow drastically throughout the dense swamps of Hollastin, the initial crater having sucked in so much water and the radiation killing so much fish that the Quadria spread out like a spider web across the planet, killing what ever got too close and eventually growing stronger because of that. The hutts spent decades studying the material, and proceeded to stockpile much of it in case they ever came into a direct confrontation with any of the massive orders of force users at their borders. Now with Black Sun having taken over Hollastin, this element may finally meet the open market.
