Description: The Thunderclap electroray projector is comparable to a flamethrower in area of effect, range, and methods of use. However, it creates only an ion wave effect. This effect is strong enough to overpower most commercial EMP/ion shielding for targets smaller than a vehicle, including most droids, armor, and personal electronics, and then actively suppress rebooting with continuous fire. As with all ion weapons, it can induce unconsciousness; sustained fire can produce a coma. The electroray projector is modeled after the auxiliary weapon integrated into the original Tendrando Arms YVH-1.
(+) Can overpower most EMP/ion shielding for targets smaller than a vehicle
(+) Can actively suppress reboot
(+) Ion wave is too wide and diffuse to be deflected by lightsabre
(+) Effective against energy shields
(-) Very short range
(-) No physical damage; useless against obstructions; no 'kill setting'
(-) Cannot be fitted with scopes, grenade launchers, lights, etc.
(-) Hard targets require sustained and/or concentrated fire
(-) Prone to overheating after 2-3 power packs of continuous fire
