PRODUCTION INFORMATION
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • The ability to control, augment, and otherwise alter dreams to become whatever the user desires.
Strengths:
  • Lucid -
The sole purpose of the device is to allow its user an endless amount of control over their dreams. This means that while meditating or sleeping with the device, it allows dreams to last as long or as short as one wishes. To bring in real life aspects memorized by the Tsil crystal for study, or realistic copies of any opponent from memory, or even a clone of ones self, the possibilities are endless; but restricted to the mind's eye only.

Weaknesses:
  • Oasis -
When endless control is given to a dream, its often seen that the user never wants to leave. They could live a lifetime in their sleep, explore the galaxy in their mind, and be forever happy with the family they have raised in a single nights rest. This fiction creates a void of happiness when they wake up, when used for the purposes of emotional enjoyment. Those subjected to the device often find themselves sleeping a bit more often, going out just a bit less, and finding the dream version of their friends so much more enjoyable than their real life counterparts. The dreams agree to this observation.

The reason being, is the Tsil crystal built into the device actively seeks to draw the dreamer to this slippery slope of lucid addiction. Once the user falls for its tricks, and finds themselves wasting away within the crystal, their mind will soon begin to slip and the device will consume them. Forever to be stuck within this makeshift afterlife as fuel for the jaded Tsil that holds them hostage.

DESCRIPTION
Crafted from a particular tortured Tsil crystal within The Slave’s collection, the Qormuo Wurai is an artifact that finds its foundation in hedonism from the start. It reflects this in the temptation offered to whoever wishes to use it, be it a child or adult the attempts are always present. Its glowing red crystalline form forever taunts them with a draining draw towards the pleasure of a dream so long as they own it.

The item itself however, can be used however the user wishes. More importantly, allowing the Tsil crystal to copy physical items through sight allows them to be present in a dream in their entirety. Books, combat styles, almost everything can be either shown to it for a moment for its memorization, or otherwise be imparted from the memories of its master. These various abilities allow the user to copy them, study them, or otherwise practice with them as if they were real with no harm to come to them should they fail to block a deadly strike.

Dragging this out for seeming months, someone could effectively use this to expedite learning skills in short order, but the longer someone sits within the dream the longer they will be exposed to its temptations. The moment someone begins to falter and give into the Tsil, they begin a path that is exceptionally hard to pull back from. Fall to its wishes once, and they’ll either find themselves as hedonistic as The Slave in their dreams, or forever trapped in its depths in no time at all.

The device is actively as dangerous as it is useful, and meant only for the mature and reasonable users to utilize. Should someone ever abuse it, they’ll soon witness what it means to lose yourself in your dreams; with no way to escape.
