Special Features: Crafted from an alloy made of titanium and pyronium, the shield was made in an aerodynamic fashion. The pyronium that it is made out of also allows the weapon to resist most electricity based attacks. It is relatively lightweight and durable, able to be thrown thanks to it's Frisbee-like concave design.

The shield was made a few years into Ace's service within the Galactic Republic. Having joined back with them in hopes of once more aiding the conquest of peace and justice, Ace found it hard to do so as he believed it distasteful to take another's life. Even though he knew it would be necessary eventually, the man filed a request for a custom weapon, one that would be styled after the shields of old. Ace wanted to wield a shield, for he viewed it as a symbol of protection and defense. Acquiring the right amount of titanium was not a big problem, for nothing was far out of reach with thousands of credits and many connections.
The pyronium however was a different story, for the metal was so rare it was known as a gem or jewel. It took a few months to gather the needed amount of pyronium, though Ace explored many planets in order to do so. It was a difficult substance to find on the markets, but with luck the soldier was able to find and purchase a fair amount. Otherwise, he acquired information and searched deep caverns, setting up mining operations once he figured he was onto something. Small teams of miners worked hard alongside Ace, eventually gathering the needed amount of pyronium they desired.
Taking it back to the Republic, it wasn't long before the shield was crafted, their blacksmiths taking their time to expertly create the weapon. The alloy of pyronium and titanium was used to make up the shield, it being crafted in a concave disk fashion. It wasn't too big or too little, allowing efficient use of it during combat without too many issues. On top of being made up of an electromagnetic absorbing metal, the shield is lightweight and durable, and even made to possess excellent aerodynamic properties.
It is capable of flying through the air like a frisbee up to ten meters , but is mainly used in close combat. It is very destructible, capable of being broken by a variety of energy weapons. It offers superb defense when engaged in melee, but otherwise can be rendered useless.
