Strengths:

Description: Jack of all trades, masters of none, most Mandalorians are decent if not good at most military skills. Everything from piloting starfighters to tracking and hunting sentient beings is taught from a young age in the warrior culture. Because of this, there is a wealth of pilots that aren't skilled enough to pilot the wealth of Elite Starfighters that have flooded the Mandalorian Clans' navy over the last few years. After going through the data, various minor clans came together and approached Gilamar Skirata and MandalMotors Technologies to construct a fighter that is simple and familiar to operate and still competitive with other fighters of its class for the coming crusade. Initially against the idea, Mand'alor @Ra Viszla personally requested for the shipwright to develop and produce the relatively cheap starfighter in large quantities so that the other big name Mandalorian Shipwrights could focus on their elite starfighters and heavy hitting capital ships.

Constructed from high quality Mandaorian made materials like Mandalorian Steel MandalTech sublight drives, and Daw Motors repulsor coils. The droid brain utilized in the integrated astromech is a recycled and re-purposed one from bes'uliik which were too damaged to rebuild or fix. Because of this the ships form bonds with the pilots if they are not wiped frequently. However many pilots who don't hold the skill to ride an actual bes'uliik into battle have opted out of the memory wipes in order to form the mystical bond between Madnalorian and beast.

In terms of performance, the starfighter performs as well as one would expect. Its not going to make a regular pilot feel like an ace, but the design doesn't hinder ace pilots when flying. Due to the advanced repulsor coils and secondary repulsor engines developed by Daw Motors that are utilized in the starfighter, the Purudii is essentially given two modes of flight, allowing it to dogfight and fly in atmosphere with minimal loss in performance, unlike many starfighters in its class and its predecessor. This coupled with the strength of its Mandalorian Steel hull makes it an impressive vacuum to atmo fighter and scout.

Mandalorian Steel's weight and mass make it a slower than average atmospheric starfighter

These two portions seem to contradict themselves to me, but I feel like I may be missing something. Can you clarify this fighter's performance in the atmosphere compared to the average starfighter?
