Today was not a good day. They still came to her sometimes, when the world was too loud and her anxiety crept over her like a fog. Her instinct was to recoil and retreat from anyone and everything that could disrupt the calm solitude brought her, but that was just the thing. The force wasn't compelling her to live a "calm life".

It was asking her to take action.

Kyra shouldered a shaky breath and walked through the streets of Honoghr. The once rich biosphere had been traded for the usual hot and caustics terrain that plagued most of this section of the galaxy. Without the rain forests and access to habitable soil, the Noghri that had returned were having an hard time of reestablishing much of anything. That was why her contact was supposedly here, and that was why Romi had suggested Kyra follow up. Maybe, just maybe, they could be of use to each other.

These last months had been defined by countless maybes, and yet everything up until this point had worked out. Kyra tried to stay positive as she tracked down the figure, but it was hard on a day like this. Her empathic abilities were still growing, and the pains of it often outstretched the control she was learning to maintain. Today, the weight on the shoulders around her crushed down on her senses as if they were her own.

Kyra rubbed meditative circles on her finger with her thumb, grounding herself as she stepped past a tent flap and found a familiar shape up ahead. "...Master Quill?" She chirped, unsure as she stepped forward. She had seen him on occasion when had stayed with her sister at Jakku, but she wasn't in a good place back then. Spice blotted out most of those memories. She felt with some dread that he might recognize the girl that had once been a padawan there, and not for anything good. She forced herself into an introduction anyways.

Moving forward required that.

"... I'm Kyra, Kyra-... Well... you can just call me that," She dismissed, her thumb moving to pick at cuticles. "My sister sent me-- Romi? She figured we might be able to help each other. If you have a moment...?"

This whole world is a foreign land
How the feth could Romi Jade, a respected albeit younger peer, have a sister this young? Quill scratched at his thinning hair.

The tent was an appropriate scale for Noghri. Quill sat on the small cot and gestured to the small chair at the small folding table.

"Well please. How can I help you on this uncomfortably warm day, Kyra Jade?"

"Oh, um." She... left it uncorrected. She shook her head of her thoughts and took a seat, cutting straight to her point. "I have been trying to create a... collection of sorts. An off the records catalog of the native plants that make up our worlds. It's... going no where at the moment," she admitted, talking down to her hands as she bit at the cuticle.

"But it could. Our larger aim is to restore worlds like this one but I don't have the resources, or the hands, to get very far. It's possible," she affirmed, some passion showing as finally looked up to meet his eyes.

"We can fix this. But I need like minded people involved. When I was talking to Romi she mentioned you and, well..." her eyes skimmed the tent that blotted out the caustic sky above.

"I wonder if our goals might overlap."
