PRT-Pulse Arm Cannon "PPAC-000 Dev thread

@[member="Gemma Lumos"]

Months before Break went on his own.

Break was finally starting to get comfortable after the attack a few days ago. His eyes had finally stopped flashing. Nar'Shaddaa was not a friendly place and Break hadn't left his makeshift light saber since. However Gemma said she needed a type of metal...Agrinium? He would not let his sister travel alone down these streets. Not without his protection.

The black markets of Nar'Shadda were a place where you could buy just about everything from rare metals to plasma canisters for cheap. Ever since the attack on them last week Gemma had been thinking on building a personal weapon for break to defend himself if ever she was not there to protect Break. "Break hold my hand hun." Reaching down Gemma held Break's had as Rey walked back from the more shadier parts of the planet's financial districts. Walking back to their new home, aka a crappy hotel room that had all the gear they could pack from the old apartment their father used to take them during the summers when crime would go up on this planet.

Opening the door she walked in with break and set down all the materials that she would need to construct a weapon for her brother. "Go play Break, I need to set this up." She reached in to her bag and placed a few components onto the hotel desk. A long solid block of agrimium and a few canisters of plasma. She had all the materials for crafting the weapon in her bags. "Break can you get my bags please?" she asked break as she began to set up what was needed. @[member="Break"]

As Break grabbed the bag he saw the contents inside. "OH ARE WE GONNA MAKE SOMETHING??" the young droid was very excited he loved making gadgets with his sister. Usually if things were going well Gemma would commission tech for people and would often make a pretty good income from it.
He set the bag carefully upon the table and looked wide eyed at his sister hoping he could help her this time. He knew a lot about machines, but had never actually helped with anything this intricate.

"Yes we are break, give me some copper wires and you take the crafting tools and the ban saw." she pointed to her bag then went to the other components. She would hook up the electrical system needed for break to fire the weapon through his programming. "You are going to carve the block into the shape of the weapon and I will hook up the wiring. You have steadier hands so you are in charge of shaping it." Reaching back she pat him on the head then returned to her work of setting up a system of wires capable of firing the weapon through electrical currents.

"Cross the wires aaaand." Gemma was back in her element clicking and tinkering away soldering wires to basic droid processors to send signals out to it. This was something that could be figured out quite easily and it wouldn't take long to develop and test. They could have it done before dinner then test it afterwards. Well at least dinner for Gemma, luckily break didn't have to eat. @[member="Break"]

Handing Gemma the copper wires he smiled happy to help. He grabbed the crafting bag and saw getting ready to set to work "What shape should it be?" the HRD said as he rolled up his sleeves.

He heaved the materials he was about to use onto the table and organized them as Gemma had shown him countless times before.

"Just like this sweetheart." She handed Break a schematic of the the weapon's outer shell, it would be a heavy piece of metal but it would be nothing the HRD couldnt carry. "Just carve it out and we can move on to assembly." Keeping her dark glasses on she began the process of fusing wires and connecting them to the processor the hand cannon would posses. The wires themselves were mainly copper and worked well to send signals and currents. The only thing that was needed before they continued was the frame of the weapon so they could create a way to load plasma and have it fire without blowing his arm up. The wires on front of her were just about done and would attach to Break's system when attattched to him body. @[member="Break"]

"OK!" he was very excited and went to work his brain working on every precise turn and edge as he carved the frame a short tube for the main barrel, that was made out of a new metal he had never seen before. He liked it. it was smooth to the touch and he liked the weight. he cut out holes for the vents. usually these went on an attachment. "Must be a special weapon" he thought, "somebody must really wanna be safe..."

next came the bracers these were heavy too. he liked heavy. these would keep the weapon balanced and keep it from blowing apart. Apparently the weapon would need a lot of extra structural strength. "Done!" he said as he set them to the side and waited for further instructions. He sat behind Gemma and watched her work, he would pay attention to everything for this weapon he liked how cool it was and might want one of his own later.

"Okay, now we need to hook up the components to make it fire. It should be pretty easy but stay back in case it becomes unstable hun." Grabbing her tools Gemma grabbed the metallic shell of the weapon and set it down on the table. It would make a very good sturdy case for the weapon system. "This is pretty cool though." she said to herself as she began the process of making the weapon. Running the wiring through the back end she placed all of the electrical components against a small wall of metal inside the machine to keep them from frying on contact with the plasma. Reaching into her bag she grabbed a pretty standard plasma rifle bought and sold on the streets of Nar,Shadda.

Gutting the weapon of its components she took the feeding system and placed it onto the top of the cannon so canisters could be fed into it. "So is this something you think is cool?" she was making small talk with her brother, she would break it to him later that this was his and it was for self defence only. Now done with the feeding system she had to move on to placing the firing and locking mechanism to make this thing actually send rounds down range @[member="Break"]

Breaks turn. He carefully took the locking mechanism from the blaster. He cut another piece of metal into a block valve and attached the electronic trigger to it. He carefully attached it to the chamber and checked to see if the valve would turn. Pulling the trigger the valve turned and set itself back in place after leting go. Afterwords a gasket was set to make sure the gas would maintain pressure as it was ionized.

It was just about done, all that needed to be done was create the slot for break could link up into and fire it. "Okay Break, I need you to configure it so you can fire it. It should be ready to go then you can test it." She would let break have this part. He needed a way to fire it, it was going to be his weapon after all and he would pick the way he used it. Because honestly she didn't want break to be uncomfortable with the device @[member="Break"]

Break looked starstruck Gamma never let him test the weapons! She must be really proud of him he guessed. He put his mind to it...He would open and close his hand to fire the mechanism...Opening his hand would prep the shot and closing would fire. It was then he had a cool idea! What if he held open his hand and charged a shot? the weapon was strong and it could take it. Why not?. He put the machine on his arm and linked into the the HUD. "Wow! So cool!"
