It was an ordinary day at the office for Tegaea Alcori. Running a galactic power was certainly not all it was cracked up to be. If one believed the holonet or Game of Stars, rulers spent all day reclining on couches, being served by pretty girls and counting their money while having people put to death.
Instead Tegaea's life consisted mainly of meetings and bureaucracy. There were petitions, decrees, requests and reports. All of them probably vital in their own way but as a whole they formed a solid, indigestible mass.

The Lady Protector's office was near the top of the Omega Tower on Fondor. From there she had an unparalleled view over the city.
"Reports on the Valen situation, Lady," Anya said. The Eldorai Princess was her close aide and friend, her guide through the world of bureaucracy.
"Thank you, Anya. Go and see how Siobhan is doing, if you would."
If Tegaea didn't enjoy the 14 hour days, she knew her wife positively hated it. She would learn though...hopefully.

Siobhan would have far preferred it if being on top was like Game of Stars. Spending her time seated on a comfortable leather couch, a secretary on her knees and between the Exarch's legs, perhaps another one on her lap while she ordered out death strikes to wipe out Sith, Bando Gora and criminal scum.

Well...she had wiped out the Bando Gora. In a brutal, bloody campaign, the bloodiest in the history of the Protectorate's armed forces. But the exterminatus had been successful...though it had left her as broken and wounded as her army. After Siobhan had torn another roof. Now she was largely recovered...though staying in hospital after getting several bones broken and being crippled again had awfully sucked.

Now she was back to...bureaucracy. MICO reports, petitions from local potentates and neighbouring minor worlds, progress reports and proposals from Omega Industries. The situation was serious, becoming grim, with the Sith Empire on the march, the Republic apparently getting its senate blown up by two Sith Masters...

Honeymoon was over. The clouds were darkening and though she tried to suppress it, she felt antsy. Or perhaps that was just the part of her talking that would prefer a good fight, however brutal that might be, to working through the mountain of paperwork. It was at this moment as Siobhan put another datapad aside and rubbed her organic eye that Anya, Eldorai Princess, Siobhan's friend and occasional lover, permanent troll, strutted in as Siobhan let out an irritated sigh at another report on dry economic issues.

She had just survived another meeting with economic bigwigs and business people from major corporations. She had the impression they were all there to fill their already bottomless coffers with more credits without actually delivering on time, but she was aware that her idea of motivating them would not be to Tegs' liking....so she had tried to be...nice.

"Ah, the gallant Exarch. How goes your navigation through the fruitful seas of bureaucratic process?" she quipped, for Anya was her friend, but also inherently a troll.

Siobhan made a face, looking annoyed, though the good-natured ribbing also lightened her rather dour mood. Why did she have to decide whether tariffs on agricultural goods from Dahomey should be lifted? Or deal with striking unions demanding a pay raise...apparently by arbitrating in a way that did not shooting the ring leaders.

"Very funny....no one told me I had to...sit through this much paperwork. Or...diplomacy," she sighed. "Sometimes I think Vader's idea of force choking bureaucrats and officers who failed wasn't half bad," she said. "That was a joke. I'll...learn and get through this. So what have you got...something new on Valen?" she asked as with a gesture of her hand the datapad Anya was carrying glided towards her. Siobhan had kept her promise not to blindly charge into every skirmish, much as she would have liked to go and fight the Sith on Yaga Minor, though the Sith's victory seemed inevitable there. She just...could not see herself being good at ruling, but she tried.

The reflective surface of the elevator walls was shown on jet black shoes, polished to the point of being a reflective surface themselves, creating a never-ending blow-for-blow of reflections on both surfaces as he stepped into through the doors. He pressed the button for the top floor and the doors closed. The polished metal piecing together his reflection like a closing curtain and showing him to be a tall dark-skinned man of about 30 years wearing a black suit and tie that brung out his ravenette hair and dark eyes. Why was he dressed so sharply? Well, one: because it is the required uniform and two: because today was THE day. He doesn't think he's ever taken a more important job in his life. He's been out of cash for a while now but the money from this single job could save him.

He looked at his digital watch. It was almost time. But man,was this elevator taking its sweet merry time getting there. He could only hope he'll get there in time. He couldn't afford to mess up this job. He tapped his shoes on the floor. Man,this was taking a lot of time. Maybe he could hack the machine, maybe just a little so it could move faster. And maybe shut off this irritating elevator music too. No!He will not blow his cover. He is a normal law abiding citizen like anybody else. He is a simple employee with no criminal record and that's all anybody has to know. He looked at his watch again. It was time! This karking elevator got him late!

He looked up to see that the doors were open. Looking around nervously, he stepped into the room @[member=Tegaea Alcori] and @[member=Siobhan Kerrigan] were in and presented what he had in his hand.

What he held in both his hands was a silver tray with two cups of heated refreshment. He couldn't help but smile when he presented the tray at it's scheduled time. It was not the beverage that he was exited about, rather what he put in it. He stood there with a stupid grin on his face while he waited for the women to take their cups.

Though they were married, Tegaea had separate offices as befitted the fact they held different positions. Still, when the suited man entered her room and offered her stimcaf, Tegaea at first did not take much notice.
However, as the man continued to stand there, mute, she looked up. She frowned. "Are you new? Can't say I've seen you before. Did someone ask you to bring this to me?" she asked curiously.
Perhaps Anya had employed someone to do menial roles? Unlike Siobhan, Tegaea was not sexist, and men working for her was not something she worried about overly.
"Well? Who are you?" she asked, a faint note of suspicion creeping into her voice.

(What's with the tag change?)

The smirk on the man's face shifted immediately to a look of surprise before he stammered his response.
"O-oh, forgive me. I am Hansomhe Mhann,at your service. Believe it or not,it's my honest to goodness real name"
He chuckled briefly, hoping the mistress would at least smile it off.
"The person who would normally serve you at this time is absent so I was hired as a substitute. I was told your beverage is scheduled at this time,it IS scheduled aat this time, right?"
He nervously glanced back at his watch inbetween sentences.

(Because after this thread I will neither be OP's leader or in the faction...depending on whether you can accomplish your mission.)

Tegaea's eyes narrowed. Her hand moved under the table, out of sight, and pressed a small red button concealed there. She'd not had to use a panic button before, but there were more things that didn't add up here than a pre-school.
Keep him talking....
"I'm sorry to hear he is indisposed. Thank you for your work. Just put it down on the table there. I always like it to cool off a bit. Three sugars, right?"

She kept her tone, her expression neutral, friendly, but her heart beat a bit quicker. She rather hoped that Anya and Siobhan picked up her distress call....

When trying to murder Tegaea Alcori, Lady Protector, there were a few things to keep in mind. One of them being, once one disregarded all the security checks one would have to pass, all the highly trained soldiers and guards standing sentinel in the building, was, without wanting to sound too arrogant, her wife.

Siobhan Kerrigan, Exarch. Probably a tremendously poor choice for political leadership, but with a skill set that revolved all around mass destruction. She was the woman who had torn down a roof over friend and foe alike at Roche...and recently torn down the ceiling of a mountain at Gehenna to slaughter the Bando Gora. She had fought and slain the Dark Lord Velok on Metalorn, albeit at great cost to herself. Devoted to Tegaea, the person who mattered more to her than anyone, and ridiculously brutal in her methods. She was destruction...on a leash. Tegaea held the leash. Anyone who hurt her, anyone who Siobhan thought might her, would be in for punishment.

Siobhan had been going through Valen reports with Anya when a small red light lit up on the computerised interface. The light had never lit up before, but Siobhan knew what it meant and what to do.

Tegaea was in danger.

Her Tegaea was in danger.

That meant someone would die...painfully. Would have to burn and be ripped apart. "Mobilise and lock down the building...now!" she all but yelled at Anya as she jumped out of her chair, which, such was the force, was knocked backwards hard, and dashed out of the office. There was some distance between hers and that of Tegaea, though they were on the same floor, but that did not matter. Nor did any of the aides, staff officers and politicos coming her way matter. They were...insignificant...irrelevant. Those that did not immediately give way as she stormed down the hallway, her speed amplified by the power of the Force, were unceremoniously knocked aside by her, some narrowly avoiding crashing into walls.

Her lightsabre flew into her hand as she ran and the brilliant blue blade dazzled into existence, humming...seemingly as eager as its wielder to strike down and slay the one who wished the Lady Protector harm. Tear the assailant to pieces and leave the corpse as an example to all those who attempted the same. Her eyes, bionic and organic, seemed to blaze brightly with pure fury, a rage stronger than any she could recall feeling in a long time. Pure burning rage and an intent to murder. She crossed the distance at breakneck speed, racing, picking up the already considerable pace as she felt the presence of a force-user, the force signature not shielded from her senses.

Sith...Fringer...CIS...Lost Bando Gora? It did not matter. Whoever it was would fall and suffer.

As she reached the office she saw him, apparently focused on Tegaea, who was still seated. She was still unharmed...good. That meant his suffering would be brief....for her tastes at least. Incancesdent fury drove her and the Force flowed through her, she welcomed her anger like an old friend and unleashed her telekinetic might, the power that had thrown a tank at Metalorn and torn down roofs to bury her enemies, upon the man in the room. She wasted no time with gestures or with words, her flesh and blood hand was enclosed in a tight fist as she willed her powers to grip the throat of the assassin hard, holding it in what should be a crushing, merciless grip, designed to cut off his breathing and quite literally crush his throat, and at the same time exerted her telekinetic will so that he should be lifted off his feet and propelled into the air to be thrown through the room into the wall behind him, with a strength that should leave a big hole in it. The cups of coffee would be caught in the onslaught and smashed onto the ground, along with some files on the desk.

He couldn't help but break a relieved smile at @[member=Tegaea Alcori]'s words. For a second there he thought he'd done goofed. No mistakes could be afforded right now,no siree.
"Of course, mistress"
Hansome had just placed the tray down when @[member=Siobhan Kerrigan] rushed into the room. He didn't even have time to say hello before he found himself suddenly being choked to death. His mind was just full of questions. Who was this she-beast?Why was she so angry? Why was she attacking him? Why wasn't the mistress helping him? Am I going to die? Soon, these questions faded away as his feet were lifted from the floor and he almost blacked out. Suddenly, he was jolted back and the wall behind him gave way like paper mache (that rhymes) and he was on the floor in a different room. He was dizzy at first and everything was spinning and in two,but when he finally came too, the first thing he saw was his tie shifted out of order. That was it.
"I don't know who you are, lady! BUT YOU DONE CALLED DOWN THE THUNDER!"

Jumping to his feet, the man took a stance and made a taunting "come hither" motion with his hand. His face was stern and his eyes were fierce. He was ready to throw the beatdown on this woman.
"Get over here,motherkarker!"

Unlike 'Handsome' - and he had the wrong parts for Siobhan and Tegaea anyway - Siobhan did not waste time with dramatic poses and lines. Her mind quite was clear. He had threatened Tegaea ergo he died. Besides, anyone who wasted her time with silly poses and thought they impressed her in any way deserved a beatdown.

So instead of making dramatic declarations Siobhan acted and the action came in the form of unleashing her telekinetic powers upon the man. Gathering her powers and sinking into the Force she summoned a powerful force repulse that swept across the room to be unleashed him. The Force was concentrated inside her and violently directed outwards with the power of an invisible hammer that should smash into him and send him flying out of the window behind them, the sort of battering ramming she was known for. The Omega Tower was very high and Tegaea's office was near the rop, meaning that hitting the ground would make one...extra-crunchy.

Such was the force that the shattered cups of coffee, reports that had fallen from Tegaea's desk and the chunk of the part of wall that had been smashed were gathered and likewise thrown at high velocity, the glass of the window behind him shattered and burst as the wave crashed into it, while the desk in the other room was pulled into the air and tossed out of the window. Siobhan was a strong believer in the saying that honour was an excuse for stupidity and you either fought or mucked around and primal rage fuelled her.

The man was forced through several walls, some part of his skeleton shattering with every impact before he crashed through the window and screamed at the top of his lungs while he fell to his death. The only thing he could think of was the cup spilling. He had put his hopes and dreams into that tea. He thought his new life as an assistant would begin today; he never could have known it would end instead.
MEANWHILE
From a building of nearly similar height, far away in the city, there is mounted certain sniper rifle stationed alone and out of sight and it is trained directly at @[member=Tegaea Alcori]'s head. It fires and instead of a powerful bolt coming out, ready to rip the head off the leader's shoulders,it fired a beacon that flew through the sky to impale itself in the glass of her office.

A capital ship in orbit recieved the signal. Inside and throughout the place there were men,all knocked unconscious and splayed all around. Though, miraculously, there was no damage to their clothing or armor. If they were apprehended, later when they would wake up,no one would know. A silhouette of a man walked into the command bridge, heading towards the weapons controls. Pressing the big red button, the ion cannon mounted on the ship began powering up. It took a minute to charge as this blast was destructive and not simply disruptive. It fired, the colossal purple beam of destruction heading towards the building with murderous intent. Should it land,it would ddo so with terrific effect, being more than enough to kill both @[member=Siobhan Kerrigan] and the leader

(So rry about the shortness. I know there's way too much in here for me to be laconic)
