Proposal: Inactivity with Canon Companies

Inactivity With Canon Companies

Below is the information regarding inactivity with Canon Companies and the guidelines for claiming an inactive company.

1. If a Canon Company Owner is absent for more than 30 days, any writer who does not already own a canon company may contest your claim by creating a submission of their own for the same Company name.

2. The Factory Judge presiding will alert a Role-play Judge, who will then attempt to contact the previous Canon Company Owner.

3. If the Role-play Judge fails to contact the previous Canon Company Owner within 72 hours and deems the Canon Company Owner inactive, the Role-play Judge will then alert an Administrator who will then transfer ownership of the canon company along with one level tier drop (may not fall under Tier 3) to the new Canon Company Owner, along with any edits made. The old submission will then be archived.

4. If a canon company owner has been contacted previously with a contesting canon company claim, upon the second inquiry the owner must show themselves to be active in order to keep the canon company. Activity can be demonstrated with a substantial RP thread or 3+ Factory submissions which took place within the 60 days prior to the second inquiry. Activity after the second inquiry will not be taken into consideration.

The edit in green is the proposal. Thoughts?

Number 4 assumes that Number 3 did not happen then, correct? It is assuming that the owner did reply that they are still active despite having no activity in the last 30 days?

So basically what this is saying is any non-activity in 60 days means that you have to produce a thread to prove you're still active? Wouldn't that mean what Spencer was concerned about before? Someone just subbing or starting a thread to avoid losing the company? Honestly I think if the owner of the company is inactive for 30 days, is pinged, responds, but then is inactive for another thirty, it should simply be taken away, rather than even giving them the opportunity to become active at that point.

This is assuming the following:

1. Canon company owner is inactive for more than 30 days.

2. New writer comes in wanting to claim Bubba Hutt Restaurant, goes through the process and submits his submission.

3. FJ taking the sub alerts a Factory RPJ, RPJ then contacts the owner.

4. Owner responds within 72 hours to say that he is active.

5. RPJ goes back to the new writer who wanted to claim Bubba Hutt, and says, "Sorry, but the owner is still active."

6. Everything goes as normal.

7. Some time later, it is discovered that the canon company owner is again inactive for more than 30 days. A new writer decides he wants to claim his company.

8. A new submission is placed, FJ contacts RPJ, and the RPJ contacts the owner.

9. At that time, the Canon company owner must show that they have been active with the canon company via threads or submissions up to that point in order to keep it.

10. If they do not provide any evidence that they have been active with the company, then they lose the canon company and may be able to request a new company of their own with the same tier as per the Inactive Owner's rules.

11. The new writer who wanted the canon company now assumes control of the old canon company minus one tier level.

If you have any suggestions on the verbiage and what would clarify it more, please do suggest it!
Just the below, possibly that part in particular in bold.

Mostly because the way I took it was that if they up and submitted something to the factory after the second time they could still be considered active. Ensuring that they have to be active with the company since the first notice is important.

The point of this is to stop the people who literally NEVER rp yet all of a sudden come back when someone is trying to get the canon company. There are a few companies that are unaccessible because of this and I'd like for that to stop.

How is this:

active with a thread or submissions up to that point in the last 60 days in order to keep it.

For a little more explicit clarity, and with a couple ideas thrown in:

How's that look?
