CONTENT INFORMATION

The Prophecy

"When moons split thrice and braid unbinds,
She shall rise where threads entwine.

Born of blood beneath a shadowed sky,
A child crowned in bone shall cry.

No mother shall name her, no sister shall bind
She weaves herself from fate, not line.

The Final Weave, still as ash,
Will turn the loom, remake the path.

Her breath shall silence the matron's word,
Her step shall cut the pattern's cord.

All threads shall tighten, none shall escape,
'Til dusk is braided to her shape."

Interpretation:
Within Clan Vethrisa, the verses foretell a daughter born under an eclipse who will unite the scattered clans and bend the galaxy to her will. Her rise will mark the end of rival matriarchs and the silencing of all other magicks.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

The prophecy's origin predates modern Dathomiri history, its first fragments carried from Peridea by the witches who would become the Nightsisters. It was lost for centuries until the Clone Wars, when General Grievous' massacre annihilated most of their kind. A lone survivor, later called the Widow of the Loom, claimed to receive a vision in the flames of Dathomir: a rebirth through one destined daughter.

She founded Clan Vethrisa upon that vision. The prophecy became their scripture, their creed, and their curse. For a thousand years it shaped every pairing and every birth until Orryn Vethrisa defied it, falling for Isley Verd Isley Verd and bearing a son Vayun, later known as Acier Moonbound, in 884 ABY. The elders declared him an abomination and sought to kill him. Orryn fled Dathomir with the newborn, hiding him on Bonadan. In 902 ABY, omens and lunar alignments led the elders to a new conviction: the prophecy spoke not of a daughter, but of a weaver beyond form. Convinced that Acier was the true Final Weave despite his gender, they lured him back to Dathomir using Orryn as bait.

When he arrived, the Clan Mother executed Orryn before his eyes, proclaiming her death the final sacrifice to complete the weave. In that moment, Acier briefly surrendered to the dark side, his grief and rage erupting into devastation. He massacred the coven, leaving few survivors. The prophecy ended in blood, and Clan Vethrisa passed into myth, its threads severed by the very ruin it had tried to weave.

Among the few who lived was Nyssara Vethrisa Nyssara Vethrisa . Raised as a Vessel within the clan, watched her mother fall to Acier's lightsaber and lived to see her home reduced to ash. In his fury and grief, Acier had only served to create a survivor shaped not by prophecy, but by vengeance.
