Private Proof in Concept

Tanalorr.

A world spoken of in secrets and whispers. One the Jedi had found, one the Nihil had found again.

She wanted to find it. It was her goal. With the new ship the Zenith Seeker shuttle, she had what she needed for hardware. With her light whip and droid, she had the means to protect herself. And the travelers she found.

Pulling in a big haul like this? It meant she was proof in concert of a decent navigator, of a Warden and a spacer.

She’d be seen as her father’s daughter. Capable and ready. She was not about to become a Jedi as she was seeking Tanalorr, but it was one of several finds on the holoboard in the ship’s main salon. It was going to provide her with joy to find it.

Looking at the compass her father had provided, one with several old Jedi locations enscribed to it, she smiled. Tapping the compass, and seeing her small probe droid, she was leaping deeper into the Tingel Arm. Worlds were needing to be found, navigators were needed. People were lost.

The ship's engines powered up as she pulled away from the Dawn Chaser as she leapt to lightspeed.

Kaia had seen a few things. She was young, sure, but her father was a Sentinel, perhaps the Sentinel of the Jedi. Well, not any longer. He was a Wayseeker and never forced either her nor her brother into the Jedi Order. It was clear, as Jared was out being what he called a Hunter, still reminiscent of the Jedi Hunters but satisfying himself with having a lightsaber, and the Force, no matter where he gained the Force knowledge from.

She was not that far off. She had no desire to be a Hunter, but she was a Warden of the Sky, and a pathfinder. It was why she was here, on her knew Odyssey, searching the galaxy for what she had to find. Treasure, far away worlds, and the secrets of the galaxy. The secrets of the Force, and Kyber.

Of the Magick she was adjacent curious about.

Maybe this was part of being a Wayseeker’s daughter, being more than the Jedi. Having access to Kyber, but having more. She did have a copy of the Book of Tides, from Brooke, the older Witch and former Jedi was someone Kaia looked up to, in a sort of way.

So many challenge to survive. Her Zenith arrived in the Koboth system.

“Watch the solar flares for me, Drifter.”

She was looking to make a jump here then spin out to the former Blood Trail,

It was part and parcel of being a wanderer, so many places to see, so many places to be.

So many things to do.

Kaia wanted to see the galaxy, hell, she had seen a lot of the galaxy when she was a mere Padawan, when she thought the Jedi were what they were supposed to be. The Republic and Alliances that followed showed that the Jedi could become just pawns of the greater governments at play, but she had done as she was instructed, followed her father.

Even if he got to make his own choices. He chose the Alliance, he chose that life.

And he chose to be a Wayseeker.

When that happened, it was time for her to make her own choice. Mothballing the Pulsar and purchasing the Zenith off of the funds she made working with the family company. But the Zenith was more than a freighter, it was an explorer, a shuttle, a faster vessel. One designed for what she was wanted.

It didn’t keep her from doing a bit of honest transport. Not even smuggling, even if Gulag-era Starchasers did keep their wealth that way. With so much going on, the path of a wayfinder was restricted.

But here she was, running from Koboth to Mon Cala with a noblefishman.

For now.

The challenge was how bizarre the galaxy was. Kaia knew that she was here to help others, to help everyone, as its what made her feel fulfilled. But it also allowed her to be out in the wilds, exploring the galaxy on her terms. Taking her new ship and pushing it to the limits. When she wasn’t taking the odd jobs.

A drop off on the station and another stop into the cantina and inn. Looking for work was the easy part. Finding the job that you wanted to take? That was a bit trickier.

Kaia downloaded the data to her pad, looking it over.

“Smuggling weapons, smuggling ammo, smuggling a noble… just did that…”

“Medical gear… The Drengir? That’s wild space.”
She said outloud to no one in particular. Drifter was there but that didn’t count. The droid was keyed into her datapad as it was. Looking around, Kaia dropped some credits for a top off of her fuel cells. Nothing too major, but she’d be leaving later on, getting a dock for the night was always a fun time.

There was a nice club to check out…

Through the bleary eyes of a hangover, the Zenith made the jump and moved through hyperspace out to the Wild Space region. It was adjacent to the Levantine Sanctum, and there were a few Frontiers Corps listening posts out that way. The fact that the drengir weren’t reported meant that it was either a small burst, or the Mandos had handled it.

And in mando fashion probably came in guns blazing and ran out just as fast. Did some defoliating and probably didn’t provide the right amount of supplies or the right type. Her ship was moving faster than the freighter of goods and she’d make the drop and hopefully be paid the rest. It’d get her the hyperfuel she needed to begin her journey.

One of discovery and of trying to find lost places. Her family was of the Jedi heritage, even if she didn’t claim as such, not too much anyway. If one looked at her brother, though, Kaia was a sitting image of her father’s need to be a Jedi. She’d be a explorer, like in the ancient Republic, and that suited her just fine.

“Just hope the light whip is going to be enough.” Her ship didn’t have all that much in the way of offensive weapons.
