- Control Freak: The Tyr-Type is designed to give the user as much control over their situation as possible.
- Information Database: The Tyr-Type was pre-programmed with an extensive database of various slicing information, vehicle models, droid models, weaponry models, and various other technology makes and models, and this database can be linked in to a central, secondary database computer, providing an even larger database.
- Irreplaceable: The Tyr-Type is a very extensive and complicated system, built into a helmet. This offers a classic weakness of getting a new helmet being often being the cheapest and easiest solution should the helmet be seriously damaged.
- ION/EMP: The Tyr-Type has no protection against ION/EMP attacks. Should the system be caught in the effect of one, it would deactivate instantly.
- Scrambled Systems: The Tyr-Type also offers no protection against communication scrambling, as it's Wired Transmission Network only increases the range in urban areas.
The Tyr-Type is Alterra's latest, cutting-edge Electronic Suite. Created at the behest of the C.E.O. Caesar Kenway, for use in updating the armours of the elite in the Confederacy of Independent Systems, and in creation of new armours. It is the first piece of technology in the Project Olympus line. It is pricey, costing well over anything the regular working-Joe could afford. It's designed for militants, with it's focus being around use in Tactical-Operations, and on the Battlefield.
It does pretty much everything from recognising the face of your best friend, to monitoring the temperature around you, it can scramble your voice, provide communications within a 75 kilometre radius. It can monitor your vital signs, identify armour damage, modulate how much oxygen you intake, control vehicles remotely, manually hack into systems, provide electromagnetic, thermal, infra-red and night vision, it amplifies hearing and speaking. It can do a vast number more aswell.
It sounds complicated, and is complicated. Hence it's high price, and the fact it is not mass-produced. It is also unshielded against ION or EMP attacks, and is not something you can do field repairs on.
