Mobility: Maximized freedom of motion, minimum weight. This armor allows the wearer to disregard many dangers from a distance and focus on the task at hand. Perfect for a melee combatant like Alkor.
Invisible to Sensors: Scans and targeting systems do not pick up the armor, and so, the wearer is able to easily move without detection, provided the enemy does not have line of sight. It also means that they must fire without targeting assistance, meaning the shooter better have good aim naturally.
Not reliant on the Force: unlike the original product, Alkor was specific about a design that did not become weakened by the absence of the Force. Eschewing the alchemically treated Malraas hide, he instead had the entire suit treated with Nightshadow, effectively making it dead to sensors. While it does not give him optical camouflage of any kind, it still makes him relatively difficult to see coming.

Still effected by Electromagnetic Interference: the systems will struggle when affected by an EMP and go down until cycled and reinitialized. This mainly effects the HUD, but also the rebreather and weapons systems (excluding the Control Gauntlet)
Still wholly visible: a Force Sensitive trying to find Alkor will likely succeed, and if he's in plain view, he has nothing to hide him. Unlike the Strike armor, he is not afforded any type of excess stealth by the armor intrinsically.
Kinetic transferrence: As there are no precautions taken against it, while penetration is addressed, kinetic weapons still transfer their force and can cause internal damage to the wearer.

Based on the template of the Project GARUDA Obsidian Strike armor, Alkor's Project CHARON armor is tailored to the Knight Commander's specific skillsets. Allowing for maximum range of motion while still providing decent levels of protection, it blends the perfect Killing Machine with the technology of the Confederacy.
Discarding several features of the original design in favor of something less bulky and more agile, the CHARON design does allow for breathing in circumstances that the Strike armor would not, including in vacuum. It has most of the systems protected behind Phrik plating, but overall maintains very little standalone protection from lightsabers, instead relying on the wearer's skill to defend himself.
