Private Prisons are more than Bars [Solo]

Last Time...
For a boy no more than 16 years old, Cassus Akovin had become far more intimately familiar with the industrial prison complex than he ever thought possible for someone his age. Extraordinary people often found themselves in extraordinary circumstances, and he had to remind himself that is exactly what his family was. He had little idea why his mother, a sick woman without even the benefit of her cybernetics, was transported off-world from Belazura to Denon. It was part of the reason why Cassus was never able to find her on Belazura... part of the reason anyway. The other reason had been that due to the broadcast perpetrated by Daiya Daiya and Zenie, the entire planet was swarmed with CorpSec looking for them after the amnesty brought down by Luminous Sun expired

Something was different about this prison, though. It was... too easy. The halls were quite, almost empty.

I have a bad feeling about this, he thought.

Kadora'Tra Kadora'Tra

The slits of feline eyes glinted in the darkness.

A clawed set of fingers clacked at a terminal, and porcelain teeth bared as her fury face scrunched in irritation. She held the memories of the organic but loathed them, and loathed her body even more. Why should an intelligence on her level be forced to use such mundane objects to pass data? Further, why did it keep using such bothersome pronouns?

Nonetheless, it carried out its job as it always did for the master Larz, and worked constantly to observe, control, and clean up after the pitiable and inferior Brightband models. Its counterpart on Denon handled one mistake, while it corrected a different mistake. While pleasure and joy were artifacts of her contemptable memories, it did admit some satisfaction in blowing up the abodes of the Darkwire Shadowrunner Xan Deesa Xan Deesa while disposing of Venku Bralor Venku Bralor 's defective copy.

It observed as the prime copy of Cassus Akovin Cassus Akovin eliminated or subdued the witnesses to the destruction of Rika Rika 's replicant, and disposed of the evidence masterfully. A very useful tool, that Larz Blackheart was right to replicate, the genes inherent in the boy turning out to be rather valuable. It also remarked, a strange satisfaction seeing his copy so easily enslaved like a dog... perhaps a residual feeling of resentment after the events of Belazura. It was quite an embarrassment to be laid low by a younger youth.

It felt that this was the natural order of things, and as it received reports of Miss Akovin's prison being entered, its scowl turned into a smile.

"Run little boy, run to mamma..."

The Cassus Prime Copy stood as still as possible. The glow if his visor the only thing illuminating him in the shadows, his hand gripped the hilt of the blade that wasn't the one he remembered. Far more lethal than what his mother designed. The mother that was so close to his grasp. This nightmare reality was almost over, and soon he would be able to wake up and go back to the way things were. Mother and Son, side by side, tearing down the wrongness of the galaxy.

He couldn't bear being a puppet, especially to this miserable fury witch.

"I know its been a busy night, love, and you're desperate to see her, but when Sister told me your obnoxious donor was popping by to visit dear old mom, I figured you would want to be around." The contemptable feline whispered into the commlink in his ear, and couldn't help but to remember her warm breath on his neck. If not for his present nature, his body would've shivered at the thought. The Farghul fashioned him as her own personal toy, and deliberately disregarded personal space. She didn't see him as more than an object, a tool. Ironic considering that they were the same thing, but she reveled in the power. It was never more than words, and being too close for comfort, but it was enough to put an uncontrol-able fear of just how much she was able to control him to do as she desired.

"Just lay in wait for the boy, it won't be long now. Then we can renegotiate her release, as we talked about. Don't forget your place, I'll be watching." The voice eked into his ear like a snakes before the construct Cassus was alone once again with his thoughts. Alone save for his mother just across a one way mirror.
