+ Focused + Focused through a number of systems, the range of the weapon is a standout attribute, capable of reaching far and away targets at medium and heavy variations.
+ Punchy + While it does not outright damage organics, the harsh output of the weapon is noticeable in terms of electronic system attacks. Especially noticeable in heavy variations.

  • Slow Volley - The focus of the weapon was consistent damage, and as a result the relative speed of the follow up shots are quite low in the light variation given the required charging time.
  • Countdown - More noticeable in the light variation, the Ammunition capacity is lackluster and generates down time between shots.
  • Shake and Shimmy - In the Medium and Heavy variants, the Recoil generated per shot is capable of throwing quick follow up shots off target.

A simple design, the expansion of the Priddy catalog would not be complete without a delve into the ion cannon section. While exploring options to provide a somewhat standardized version of the Ion Weapon platform, a number of Variant designs came from the R&D section of PGEM.

The Light Variant was designed largely for starfighter platforms under 20 meters in length as a standard. While not as impressive as dedicated productions by military organizations, the Light Variant was capable of being quickly and easily produced and serviced for Starfighters.

The next design Classification was Medium. Largely designed as an intermediate for vessels above 20 meters but below 200 meters. As such the performance is similar in damage output from the light variation. The standout features being a larger and heavier weapon, as well as a better magazine capacity, range, and rate of fire.

A noted downside being a noticeable Recoil during high rates of fire.

The final Classification was the Heavy Variant. Yet again a larger weapon featuring similar qualities of the Medium Variant but designed as a standard for vessels above 200 meters. A standout feature for the Heavy Variant was the damage output with the expanded capacity for focusing elements to further enhance the bolts being sent down range.

Each design was tested for their purpose, and compared as such before each variation became the standard for the overarching design of the Priddy Ion Cannon. Vessels below 20 meters feature the Light variation as a standard. Vessels above 20 meters but below 200 meters feature the Medium Variant as a standard. And vessels above 200 meters feature the Heavy Variant as a standard.
