We tried doing a super-organized academy minor faction a year or two back and it died out pretty quickly. This time around, there's nowhere to sign up for classes: just write your character studying through KathTech however you prefer, in whatever threads you prefer.

Yeah. I blame the overdone structure -- all those programs and certificates -- coupled with a half-baked and poorly-understood advancement mechanic. I went to reform and re-use it a few months back, but by then I'd gotten disillusioned with SSC. KathTech is my solace, lol.

Glad to hear it, lol. I actually turned dropping/flunking out of the LAA into a major plot point in Alec Rekali's story, and Jorus' time there affected his story too. Hoping to do some similar things with KathTech.
