Aeten II System, Wild Space

Gregor Gideon shifted his attention away from a hand-held datapad which contained partial schematics for a model of Imperial starfighter from a bygone era. The Sith Knight had discovered them by sheer good luck a number of months previously, when a former underworld contact of his had informed him of a discovery, and offered it in exchange for clemency in regards to certain Imperial arrest warrants. Gregor, needless to say, was quite pleased at the outcome when he had agreed to the deal.

The discovery and subsequent acquisition of the schematics had set in motion the events that would transpire now - another expeditionary force had been once again dispatched to the planet. Temporarily, while mining operations were underway. A similar process had recently been undertaken by a former - now mysteriously vanished, ironically enough - Sith Lord, whom had mined the same specialized crystals - which were instrumental in creating one version of a working cloaking device.

Gregor turned his attention to the reinforced starship's viewport, peering out at desolate-seeming world. It was going to be a short process, in the scheme of things - and then he would never have to see this rock ever again. Nor would the rest of the Empire, at least for some time - and most likely never again for official Imperial business.

To help him pass the time, he had requested many prominent, and/or rising stars of the Sith Empire, to accompany him on this expedition. It would provide ample opportunity to discuss the intricacies of the Force - and in particular, the Dark Side, as well as other matters of state business, or other business at all.

The Spiteful's immense hangar bays contained readied dropships and shuttles, the kind of transports that could only mean one thing: Mass movement, the kind that changed everything. Naturally, having seen hundreds of such efforts without much personal change, Sergeant Shank had come to the conclusion that the ebb and flow of power, money and technological improvement meant little for the average stormtrooper. Oh, he liked his DD-13 well enough, but a Storm Commando was a Storm Commando with or without a brand-new gun or the kind of thing for which one came to Aeten II. A thousand years of service; why mess with perfection?

Then again, this scion of a thousand-year tradition was currently reduced to loading unintelligible electronics into a Veratus shuttle. And he was behind schedule, which irked his orderly soul. Kill things he might, bench-press a Hutt he might, but he was a fething poor manual laborer.

Ral was lucky enough to get his own private cabin as he came along on the mission aboard the Spiteful. At this time he was sleeping off after his normal vigorous training routine he usually conducts before every mission. Five minutes he awoke from his bed and rose to his lupine feet and stretched. "Time to get to work. Man, I am starving. Ah, screw it I'll eat later." Ral then put on his durasteel armor and made his way to finding Sith Knight Gregor to discuss the plans concerning their current operation.

Juthan sat in cockpit of Csilla's Legacy, looking out it at the Spiteful as it readied itself. He set the ship to auto pilot before heading back into one of the cabins in the ship. Once inside he put on his Exoskeleton Mark II and clipped his blaster rifle along his back and pistol at his side. Standing straight he turned back to the door and headed out of the cabin, closing it before heading back to the cockpit and waiting for his orders.

Gregor remained within the confines of the command bridge for the time being. He liked it here most of all despite the existence of more luxurious briefing or state rooms. This particular Sith Knight had actually fostered a rather strong working relationship with the crew of the Spiteful. And, Gregor at least hoped, they respected him as well.

Checking his wrist-chronometer, the Sith wondered who amongst his kind might show up during his endeavor on this world. The operation would be kicking off shortly - if it could be classified as any kind of operation at all. It was no major military force that would be landing, but rather, a token defense force protecting a sizable amount of mining equipment and manpower. For the next few months this world would be home to Gregor and his crew.

Juthan reached for his holotransmitter, keying in a code. "Captain Juthan'Athar reporting in to aid in the operation here. Direct me as needed, until then i will resume a high atmosphere orbit with the Spiteful." He leaned back and directed the ship along the route he had just informed the Spiteful about, falling in beside the larger ship.

The arrival of the Gorgon at this location meant only one thing - Circe was out and about, and when Circe was out and about, things usually went fun. Her arrival here was predominantly to find more out about what Gregor was up to. Stygium had vanished from Imperial stocks recently, and there was a chance the Inquisitorius was utilizing it for a black project or two. Subach's Charros IV factory had been working with Seinar assets in the Greater Tion Hegemony to develop the Empire's next stealth fighter, and for the few thousand that would be produced for use by elite Imperial military squadrons, every last shard of stygium she could find would be useful.

With that, she sent out a general hail to @[member="Gregor Gideon"]'s ships. It was time to get down to business.

The arrival of the Gorgon had not come as a shock to Gregor. The Sith known as @[member="Pandeima"] had been one of the members of his Order that he wished to speak with the most.

Gregor had questions pertaining to a certain application of the Force to which she might be able to yield invaluable knowledge.

"Accept the hail upon authentication." He spoke to the comm officer, as he approached the bridge's communications console.

With the hail accepted, Pandeima delivered her opening message.

"Ah, Gregor Gideon, leader of the Inquisitorius... Why require the presence of such a ship as mine out here, might I ask?"

Smooth and relaxed, not relating her motivation to discover what happened to the stygium.
