..:: Detailed Special Features ::..
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  • Built-in Commlink: Each helmet contains a built-in commlink, permitting the members of the Praetorian Guard to constantly keep in touch and keep one another updated as to the changing conditions and situations during a state event. This makes it easier for the members to do their job, while also contacting additional on site security to remove any individual or check a situation that they were otherwise incapable of doing.

  • Internal Padding: Additional padding on the interior of the plates makes for a more comfortable fit and prevents an individual from becoming easily fatigued while wearing the armor.

  • Temperature Control System: A vital part of the armor, the TCS ensures that the individual within the armor does not overheat or freeze, depending on their location and the outside temperature, or weather conditions.

  • Fancy Cloak: Each set of armor comes with a fancy cloak with the colors and insignia of the individual, house or affiliated organization that orders the armor.

Strengths:
  • Overlapping armor plates, designed to make the wearer appear imposing, also serve as multiple redundancies, offering more protection to the wearer. Thus rendering the armor all but invulnerable to the highest settings of a Blaster Rifle, and next to useless against a direct blast from a blastercannon.

  • Surprisingly, even as bulky and heavy as it is, the armor is incredibly comfortable to wear. Internal padding on the plates aids in mitigating some of the pressure due to the heavy armor. This also means that the armor can be worn for multiple hours on end without the individual becoming fatigued.

Weaknesses :
  • The most visible weakness that the armor has is its ornate and over-sized helm. The helm itself, while designed to appear imposing and intimidating, easily marks out the individual wearing the armor in a crowd, effectively putting a massive target on their bodies.

  • Limited visibility due to the design of the helmet means that it is a liability in combat, as well as due in part to it being difficult to turn one's head while wearing the armor. This is due to the design being designated for more stately functions, as it is not expected to be worn in a combat situation.

  • The Ceremonial Robes or cloaks often worn with the armor further pushes it from any real use in a combat situation. While the armor can easily be used for a small skirmish, the kind likely to happen if an individual or group of individuals disrupted a state function; the Ceremonial Robes would serve little purpose and would be a hindrance in an actual combat situation.

..:: Description ::..
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Praetorian Guard Ceremonial Armor is simply just that, Ceremonial Armor. Its function and design are as such for stately affairs to provide an air of confidence and visible security, as well as provide a form of intimidation. Each set of armor is designed with those specific Houses that order the armor, in mind. Each armor is fashioned and emblazoned with the crest, insignia or other such denoting markings.

Due to it being Ceremonial in use, the armor is not intended to be worn outside of stately functions, nor is it intended for combat situations. Its bulk and limited field of view make it a liability in combat situations beyond simple skirmishes that may break out during a ceremony or event. Though while it is capable of taking some weapons fire, it is still suggested and in some cases outright demanded that the armor not be worn for combat.

Could you fix this please? Thanks!
