A first diplomatic envoy.

Saria was practically bubbling over with excitement. She could hardly contain how thrilled she was. The New Jedi Order was sending her as the leader of a team to negotiate terms of peace between two hostile factions. Mind you, it wasn't the typical sort of diplomatic affair. It was on a much smaller scale, centered around a territorial dispute on the forest moon of Endor, where two opposing tribes of Ewoks were preparing for open hostility. She and two other Padawans, importantly with her as the lead diplomat, were being sent to quell the conflict before violence broke out. This was the big break that she was waiting for, an opportunity to rise in the world of peaceful negotiation.

The trio were on a Galactic Alliance transport, which had just entered the atmosphere of the moon. Saria had made her way over to the other two padawans, handing each a translator device.

"Here you are," Saria said in a pleasant tone. "You both will be needing these devices to properly converse with the locals. We should be on the surface shortly."

And she had it all completely under control.

Forest Moon of Endor
"So... is the moon named Endor... or is it the moon of a planet named Endor?"

R'Ruug was nervous. The Jedi were already sending him on his first mission, and he felt like he'd barely learned anything. Every step, he feared he would trip on his robes, and the training saber still felt weird bumping against his side. At least he still had his shepherd's crook, resting against his shoulder. One piece of familiarity, in a situation that felt anything but familiar.

He'd had to have someone explain to him what negotiation even was. Turns out, it's just talking.

R'Ruug was not very good at talking.

At least he wasn't in the lead. From what he could tell, the Order had sent him for the sole purpose of getting him out in the world. He'd only ever been on Tanaab, and then Coruscant when he became a Jedi, so the more he could see and experience, the better.

The tall Whiphid put the translator in his ear, nodding to Saria and Ceth with some apprehension. "Do you think the Ewoks will be too mad to talk to us?"
