- Model: Possess-o-Matic
- Modularity: Nah.
- Production: Mass-Produced
- Material: Iron.

- The original Possess-o-Matic is a jagged crown forged from elemental iron; despite its mundane matter, it is all but indestructible. If someone somehow figures out how to replicate it, there is no reason why its sister artefacts could not be made in other forms, e.g., an iron throne, a hat made from Ewok leather, a pretty bracelet, an authoritative rod, or a caf mug that says 'Best Dark Lord of the Sith'.
- The Possess-o-Matic allows its user to project their mind outside their body, principally in order to enter the bodies of beings; clever users will notice that it is entirely possible to stay outside a host for the purposes of espionage, though Force Sight can spot such a spying mind.
- Users are encouraged not to die while using the Possess-o-Matic - the harsh transition of being yanked back due to a host dying can lead to a variety of side effects, but one's own body dying is far worse. Best case scenario, the user is able to remain in control of the target (preferably a target with a decent body), but the user is just as likely to die as normal or become stuck in Realspace.
- Generally speaking, the target's mind is returned after possession ends. They may or may not remember the time they spent possessed. That said, users may be able to 'misplace' minds, leaving naught but an empty husk behind, if they have an aptitude for telepathy or sorcery.
- Given its unusual nature, things may 'go wrong' during use, especially when strong minds clash, doubly so if they are Force Sensitive.
- OOC: I enthusiastically support doing weird stuff like accidental body swaps. Also, don't forget Roleplay Rule #4 and #5.
- Grand Theft Body: The Possess-o-Matic allows anyone who is not Force Dead to project their mind into the bodies of others, possessing them from afar. Animals? Your neighbour? An enemy soldier? Anything goes, so long as they're not strong-willed enough to resist.
- Harsh Transition: Rapid 'loss of connection' due to anti-Force 'nonsense' or a resisting target can involve unpleasant side effects.
- Empty Body: A user's true form is left comatose while the device is in use; make sure you are in a safe location while possessing.

Some artifacts are found in musty ruins, having been forged by ancient Sorcerer-Kings in ages past. The Possess-o-Matic is not one of them - it was made as an educational tool by an eccentric Shadow trying to explain the inner workings of possession to organic associates with limited success.
Unfortunately, the original went missing while traversing a Nether Rift, leaving its exact whereabouts unknown. It is theoretically possible that more might pop up, either made as replacements or somehow duplicated by the unpredictable currents of the Force, but it is currently believed to be one of a kind; this is perhaps for the best, given its incredible potential for misuse. Misuse that better be IC, damn it - behave yourselves.
