  • The power cell, when infused into a hilt, allows the lightsaber a very high chance to disrupt electrical devices to the point of shorting out, or malfunctioning, or completely shutting down, including opposing lightsabers. This is due in part to the power cell releasing high waves of electricity through its hilt, accumulating in its own plasma blade for a few seconds, only releasing the gathered energy when it comes in contact with an object, transferring it from point A to point B. If no contact is made, the energy quickly dissipates; same result if the lightsaber is powered down.

• Electrical Disruption
  
  • The power cell allows for the blade, upon contact with an electrical device (including lightsabers) presents a very high chance of disrupting them either through malfunctioning, shorting out them out, or completely shutting down.

• Fragile
  
  • The cells themselves are fragile, not from the manufacturing process, but from extended use. To avoid the cells from shutting down during use, or simply breaking from stress, they must be maintained constantly; by changing them out. Unlike most components of a lightsaber, these power cells are not rechargeable.

Originally a 'let me bounce off you a few ideas' turned into a reality when the engineering gurus of The Dark Court began manufacturing them, then had them put through a Sith Alchemy process for the empire. The power cells were designed in mind for the lightsaber wielders of the empire, a boost in the fight against electronics. The power cells more than have the capability to muddle in the intricate inner workings of electrical devices, including a lightsaber, which was the main focus when the designs were discussed by the engineers; only slightly taken back when they discovered the fragility of the cells. In the end, the pros outweighed the cons and the cells began manufacturing almost immediately.

This is very powerful the way it is written; if we can change the wording to "very high chance" or something along those lines instead of a set number.
