Polling the Room re: Vampire Types

I'm thinking about creating a vampire-type character, and was wondering where I'd find the most Faction or other player interactions. What I'd really like to do is start a character as non-vampiric and have them get turned.

What do people think? I'm pretty sure Energy Vampires are born, not made. Maybe Ravna's Species? Are the Sangnir active?

As far as I know, there are quite a few Sangnir characters active on the board, including Alina Tremiru , Darth Strosius , Persephone Ambrosia , and so on. But there is no official vampire faction. If you're just looking for an initiation into vampirism, I recommend approaching one of them and seeing if you can work something out story-wise.

There are quite a few other vampire-type species as well! Three others I know of, other than the one you already mentioned, are the Vycan, the Sanguinius Vampirika (And the Lesser Sanguinius Vampirika as well!), and the Psy-Pires! They're all worth looking at for a vampire-type charrie!

Yes am Vampire of the Sangnir variety. There's quite a few of them around.

I'm sure this one would be more than willing to cooperate in anything that furthers the grasp of the undying. If you guys are still interested, that is.

There is nothing on how Energy Vampires come into being to me they can be made or born.

Dyans was a Human from Empress Teta who was turned into Energy Vampire and latter went through a ritual to become a Force Vampire. Force Vampires are made though a ritual and Alchemy that the original Silver Jedi Order designed by accident.

Also I have played a Mind Witch in the past which is another type of vampire in star wars.
