PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Pogo's size and build is smaller than elder Hutts, but far more physically built. He is muscular and powerful, and also unlike his brethren, often carries weapons - usually blunt melee weapons and big chains, which he wears draped over his body. He is known to use his chains as both weapons and armor. Pogo has many scars from many battles, as he is known in the pit fighting arenas all over the Galaxy. Also unlike most Hutts, Pogo has very little connection to crime syndicates. He has been accused of running child pickpocketing gangs, but in truth he just has an affinity for kids, and enjoys protecting weaker beings -- also a very un-Hutt-like behavior.

PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS

Pogo is braggadocious, bold, and often arrogant. He believes his way is the better way among his species and thinks Hutts should fight their own battles. He admires strength and reveres battle prowess. Because of this, he often is willing to handicap his own strength when fighting those he considers 'weaker,' which is just about anyone. If someone comes close to defeating him though, Pogo will change his tactics and go 'all-out' against them.

STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES

  • Powerful Build - Pogo engages in regular exorcise and fights in the Arena
  • Fast Movements - He is lighter than other Hutts, and well-adapted to fighting which makes him faster than he looks.
  • Tail Attacks - His tail is one of his main weapons, but he will use it as a surprise attack.
  • Affinity towards Children - Pogo can be manipulated by creatures he perceives as children, though he does take into account the lifespan of non-Hutts.
  • Hutt Greed - He is not immune to being seduced by a perceived advantage, and does in fact want to become wealthy like others of his kind.
  • Alienation From His Own Kind - His distaste for other Hutts is well-known, and he does not ask for help, actively trust or engage in deals with other Hutts.
  • No Formal Fight Training - Pogo has never been trained, as there aren't any Hutts who remember how to fight, and weaker beings have nothing to teach him.
  • Too Generous - Pogo often gives his earnings to children and orphanages, making his lust for wealth a very difficult goal to achieve.
  • Bad Reputation/Wanted Criminal - He has been accused of taking advantage of children for his own goals, and some of that reputation is earned. He however has never intentionally sought to create a child pickpocketing ring. It just kind of happened.
HISTORY

Pogo was born on Nal Hutta, just one of many young slugs born in the time following the Galactic Plague. His progenitor was a crime lord who had no interest in raising a young slug, and so abandoned Pogo to the Hutt equivalent of an orphanage. There, Pogo began fighting amongst his kin and was eventually separated from them. As he grew, he became contemptuous of his own kind and what he saw as a sedentary lifestyle of luxury and greed. Vowing not to become like his fellows, Pogo learned of ancient Hutts of long past.

Hutts who wore armor, and fought wars against Mandalorians, Xim the Despot, Rakata, and others. Even Jedi and Sith Hutts. Pogo left at a very young age as a Hutt, and began to hire himself out to fight beasts and monsters on Outer Rim planets, earning himself the title of the 'Hutt Who Cares,' but that didn't last, and it eventually became mistranslated to 'A Hutt? Who cares?'

Pogo was known for giving away his earnings to local children and orphanages, only keeping enough to pay for transport fees and his own voracious appetite, but the reputation of a 'giving' Hutt never caught on. It was just too unbelievable. Eventually he found his way to the fighting pits, and had gained a much more believable reputation as the 'Hutt who Wins.'

Many Hutts show great pride in Pogo's accomplishments, even though Pogo himself doesn't think much of them.
