Plugging the Leaks (Fel Dominion of Muunilist)

Checking his radar, several more blips lit up. Right, the Phoenix was on the move. “Look sharp, boys and girls. VIP coming in. Watch the fighters, get them, but if they get to close to our gunships, turn them to ash as fast as you can.” They really needed to come up with a good way to turret up the gunships. Once they got in the atmosphere, Black group was going to have to start bombing any gun emplacements.

“We’re rolling out the red carpet, Phoenix, but watch out for the bumps along the way.” Jared called across the comm., as they did have a few extra fighters that might get through the first run of the Blues and Greens, but that was why the whole wing was here. Not to mention back ups from the rest of the ships around. Hopefully the Destroyers were give them a path as well.

"Just be sure I don't die a fiery death and you'll have my gratitude." Ronin said calmly as the gunship plummeted towards the planet through screens of Sith fighters who pelted the shields with laser fire. Soon enough they would reach the capital building where they would exit with haste and proceed to free this poor planet from the clutches of the Sith loyalists.

Flying, she could do. Oh, she could fly, and though the fighter she found herself in now was still entirely too unfamiliar, some time in the sims had prepared her to a certain degree… but this was her first engagement, ever, and her nerves rippled with something that approximated a cross between the adrenaline of excitement and the ‘oh, holy frak’ of unavoidable fear.

But she swallowed it, swallowed it all, delegating it to a place further below the surface of her thoughts, and reined herself into focus. And when she pegged her first adversary out in the black, the adrenaline surged again, and the fear abated in the slightest in the face of her first kill. Ever. Whoever they had been, she didn’t even have to deal with their humanity, didn’t even think of it, and she had no idea that such a thing helped. She felt a glimmer of confidence as she brought herself about and listened to @[member="Jared Starchaser"] put out fresh instructions, but nowhere near crossing the line into overt cockiness.

That, if it happened at all, would take time. Her eyes flicked to the radar, then out the front view. There were more of them, still.

“Aye, boss. Eyes wide open.” She said over the comm, more for her own benefit than his. She was so fresh that command structure and proper address were still mostly unfamiliar to her. She grasped the concept of it from the perspective of her upbringing, but military rank was like a foreign language.

“Will you come into my parlour?…” She muttered to herself, looking to acquire another target. One conveniently flew right into her sights, her eyes narrowed, and she punched it full of destructive holes. “...said the spider to the fly… ”

He thought the trip was going to be a good one, until the Imperator of the entire Imperium boarded the gunship. He froze in fear and respect. Thoughts of correct protocol raced through his mind: did his teeth look clean; his breath smell; his posture straight? It was pressure enough having to talk to a General or Grand Admiral and deep down he knew it would come to a time when he would have to say something to the leader of his empire.
The glance offered little reprieve from these thoughts and even less did the question, which although wasn't arrived directly at Voroll, but more him and the General, he believed.

"R-ready as ever." He replied. He didn't know what style of address to affix to the statement, so he decided that nothing would have to do. Until he was Todd otherwise, that is.

The Flashpoints were home for him. The point of the fighter was so that any mission Imperial Knights needed to fly, the fighter could be reconfigured to achieve the necessary result. He knew he had a few new pilots with him, but with mop up exercises like this, it was a good place to put them into their first mission. And it was the perfect place to get aquainted with the Fel’s newest starfighter. Even Imperial Cadets were learning to fly this now, such as him, but with his commander position in the Starfighter Corp, it gave him special clearance at times.

Besides, it was the Sith. Anyone who was a part of the Fel Imperium was under strict orders to know that the Sith were a blight on the galaxy and must be eliminated. When it came to that, along with his upbringing that the Sith were, indeed dangerous, he wasn’t hesitating in the least with dealing with them.

And dolling out justice by the starfighter full.

He was really going to need to work on structure with the pilots. Everyone had a role, and everyone had a name. What they needed was to learn the positions in the squadron, and the nicknames of their wingmates. That would make it just a little bit of a morale booster, giving everyone their own callsign, when they earned it. Squeezing off a few more shots before rolling his fighter into a barrel roll, around a shot of enemy flak, he grinned as he squeezed off another burst, lighting up an opponent. Two for one, right there.

“We’re nearing atmosphere. Phoenix, how are you coming along in your clunkers?”

Imperial Star Destroyer Outbreak
High Orbit, Muunilinst

The Outbreak, accompanied by several other vessels of similar class jumped out of hyperspace and into existence. The Imperator was already here with his own forces, Davin had just shown up with the heavy guns and the rest of the necessary resources needed to capture and fortify a planet. Money and resource rich, this planet was a valuable asset when placed in the right hands. The hands of the Fel Imperium.

"Deploy all forces. All offensive measures are to be taken and prepare my personal ship. I'll be heading groundside."

"Good work Starchaser, I'll see to it that you receive an adequate medal for your work here." Ronin said to Jared before he sat back and listened to the Fel communications chatter that notified him that his Grand Admiral had entered the system and that he was preparing to come groundside, excellent, things were going perfectly as planned. Ronin knew, however, that things didn't always stay that way.

His conversation with the Rebirth was brief, for the Dark Master was a master of the telepathic powers that the Unifying Force allowed him to utilize and learn. Mind tricking the unfortunate ensign on board the ship, he was relayed to the Imperators shuttle. Again, he waited for his transmission to be accepted by the leader of the Fel Imperium.

Zrash'toul'frusku

Phoenix Legion's General
Zrash gripped the vibrosword at his side and looked up at his Imperator with a curt nod and straight stance. His face was all seriousness, all business. It was war like always, it was impersonal. It had to be or things got complicated. He allowed that to happen earlier with Infinite.

"Aye sir... I'm ready."

That was a welcome sight. Jared nodded when he saw the Outbreak on his radar. "Looks like we're being reinforced, boys and girls." He could only hope that the ships aboard the Outbreak were ready to go. "Outbreak Wing, this is the Rebirth CAG. We're heading planet side. The fighters are all yours." Switching back to his own wing's comm, he ordered Green group to remain in the fight up in space, and gave the plan for Black to finish what they were doing to the Sith cruisers and once the Outbreak's Wing showed up to come down and take out the enemy gun emplacements.

"Blue, make sure to watch our VIPs from ground. Red, we're going after anything in the air. So stay ready!" He was mentally cussing the Sith as he knew he was going to have to enter the atmosphere. Why did they have to fly in the atmosphere? Really, it was his standing as an Imperial Cadet, he needed to guard his Imperator.

The rest of the journey to the surface was quiet enough, save for the pounding of condensed energy bolts against the shields of the gunship and the occasional whiz of ion engines flying in close proximity - to which a hard banking to either side was often required.

This particular Hades seemed blessed, or at the very least it should be, for it carried most of the hope of this entire operation and future operations inside it: the Imperator and the General of Phoenix Legion. If it were to be destroyed, or damaged, or lost to some unknown and underestimated force then it could be fatally catastrophic for the entire Imperium. Voroll mused on this possibility for the remainder of the journey, until a landing zone had been created, secured and Royal Stormtroopers deployed.

Crimson-clad in Imperial Knight armor, the Grand Admiral and his platoon of Stormtroopers boarded their personal Hades-class gunship and made preparations to move into the atmosphere. "Move swiftly and with a purpose. We've got things to do, so try not to fall behind." The Admiral barked as the boarding doors slammed shut and his pilot began receiving numerous check-ins from pilots lined up along his row of assault ships. "We taking down armor too, sir?!"

"We are! We're the first wave, they'll be about a minute or so behind us!
"Thank. Karking. God."

A dark skinned figure, in crimson armor acccompanied by a ebony cape, managed to find his way in a crowd of natives in Harnaidan, the capital of Muunilinst. He was a few meters behind a suspected Sith knight. Keeping a sharp eye on his movements, he would keep up the chase until the Sith would be exposed. Djonas had a few apprentices undercover within the crowd also keeping an eye on the suspect.
