DESCRIPTION

Developed to provide Mandalorian hunters with a suitable long range weapon powerful enough to take on even the hardest and most dangerous of targets, the Septiforge's custom design heavy sniper rifle packs a mean punch. Marketed as the "Panther's Keldabe Arsenal PL-1", the weapon has a unique aesthetic to match its unique strengths.

The weapon has a long heavy barrel which links to the firing chamber where the round is prepared. The barrel accelerates the projectiles or energy packets by magnetic force. Each power cell has the capacity to generate six projectiles, which can be individually dialed in by the user.

By taking advantage of a small but powerful molecular furnace, the ammunition can be transmuted into the substances required, matter or energy. The standard round is made up of dense material suitable for penetration. This can be cracked for splinter shot or left alone as an armor piercing round. The round can also be melted down by the molecular furnace, with the resultant energy being used to power an energy blast.

The weapon can fire a solid shot similar to a slugthrower or gauss weapon, or an energy blast similar to a standard blaster. These can be further tuned for penetration, spread, and energy type as detailed above.

The weapon can also be fired on full power, which generates a mighty blast which is as loud and bright as it is devastating. The blast itself combines the projectile material into a fusioning sub-critical mass which is hurled toward the target at maximum force. This will fully deplete the power cell. Reloading the heavy cells can take time, as they are necessarily quite large.

Advanced optics and computerized sensors in the scope allow for an accurate shot at virtually any range. The sensors allow for wind, coriolis, projectile drop and decay, as well as target motion, and all forms of interference.

Molecular Furnace

By taking advantage of a molecular furnace, the power cell can be transmuted into the substances required, matter or energy.

Do you have a canon example of the furnace breaking it down into energy purely for use? It breaks down matter to a raw form to use in something else and the mining droids and equipment to do it is generally larger then a weapon. There are ways but it reads here as just an afterthought then something that would make it as a feature of the rifle. It should be expanded upon.
