EXCERPTS! (THE FUN PART!)

The Golden Age of Piracy:

"The Golden Age of Piracy was notably right after the Gulag Plague. The Galaxy was still young, with fewer super powers and much more freedom to move about. While Tech was not the same back then, thanks to the decimation of the plague these brigands still made due." - Kylie Talor

"One notable fact was that they had a "Pirate King," in the early days. They also had a station. There were many, many crews and they hunted with almost total impunity. A notable adversary of the Pirates was the now defunct Omega Pyre, thanks to RC 212 and his raids on their worlds."- Kylie Talor

"In the beginning of the Golden age Pirates flew smaller ships, no bigger than single Star Destroyers. There was also a space station that served as their home somewhere near Tatooine named Tortuga Station. That station still serves as hub of dissent and villainy today!"- Kylie Talor

"One notable crew rivalry was the one between Ironwolf and RC 212. Since the day Asari Morin, the then Pirate king tried to fit them all together in a coalition, these two were at each others throats. Bad blood of course spilled across their crews as well." - Kylie Talor

Post Dark Harvest:

"Notably after the Dark Harvest most of the modern Pirates had gone to ground. RC 212 had taken with the Lords of the Fringe in controversy. Omega Pyre was strong as ever but could not touch him. Most of the rest of the Captains simply faded from obscurity as the galaxy became a smaller and smaller place."- Kylie Talor

Post Netherworld:

"Post Netherworld, with the galaxies citizens decimated or lost, saw the rise of the second Age of Piracy. Famous folks like Eliza Raxis, Soulfire Ticon, Blackthorne, Thengil'Ri Shajirr, Macoda Haberon, Darth Abyss, Aedan Miles, Thraxis and the like. Whew! Lot of names lot of research!"

Present Day:

"No major Pirates still operate today save Aedan Miles. Other than a few RC's Raiders incident the majority of them have died off or gone to ground. With bigger fleets, heavier ships and less room for them to really make a dent, we can assume it will become a dying profession in the galaxy." - Kylie Talor

Common Tactics:

"Common tactics were hit and run raids, or planting a grav mine on a hyperspace lane to pull a ship out. After that typically a round of Ion fire, Connor nets or harpoons followed, then boarding action. Notably some crews massacred their catch, while other impressed citizens into their service."

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Created by Kylie Talor and a dedicated team of Jedi Scribes. Much research was conducted and the final result was captured in a brown leather bound book, with a plasteel spine. The book was then disseminated to all Jedi Archives and Libraries. Anyone that can access said locations, would have access to the book in question.

Cheaper versions of the books were mass printed and disseminated wide as possible. The average folk could buy this for about 20c in the 'Verse!

Appropriate credit needed for images, etc, including here for the maps.

This one also does not seem to be a Canon item, so the 'Canon' field would more appropriately be 'no'.
