District: Pipeworld

Size: Large 100km diameter, but running deep into the surface of the world

Wealth: low

Population Density: high

Demographics: A broad mix of species. 1% human, 15% Twi’lek, 19% Trandoshan.

Surface: Subterranean

Geography: A complex set of interweaving pipes

Air Quality: Varied from very poor to exceptionally clean

Points of Interest: At the vertex of any collection of inhabited pipes tends to reside an individual city. These are smelting pots of different cultures and species.
Dak’sstua is a predominantly Trandoshan city near the base of Pipeworld.
Shhena is near the surface and mostly follows Twi’lek culture.

Conform/Revolt: A broad mix

Description/History: There is a gaping maw in the surface of Cormalum. A 100km across smooth, circular tunnel that runs deep into the crust. Within this deep basis is a criss-crossed mesh of wide tunnels, from just a few metres, to nearly half a kilometre wide. These connected adjoining cities, transporting air, geothermal currents and power. As pipes became disused they fell into disrepair and new ones were created.

Over time homeless citizens from the surface found their way into these pipes and started to create small shanty settlements. Seizing on the opportunity, corporations started to buy up estate within the pipes, maintaining them for the purpose of selling them off as residential land.

Over time larger and larger settlements started to spread out from the vertexes of pipes and became cities in their own right. Species tended to congregate in similar groups and whilst there is a wide mix, they tend to segregate themselves.

Once Kintore was built over the top of the hole, the upper regions were plunged into darkness once again. Now there are constantly transports moving through the murk, ferrying citizens from place to place.

Many pipes are uninhabited. Sometimes strange creatures emerge from passageways thought sealed off long ago. Some enterprising citizens keep shortcuts through unused pipes to themselves, but there are many accidents each year. Sometime people stray into water pipes and end up drowned when they suddenly fill.
