Katarr - Abandoned City Ruins

A black flag had risen above the ruins of Katarr, a symbol formerly associated with the Free Cities of Malachor, designed in the spirit of the Pirates of old days. The Prophet had left his empire behind, but many of his people had followed his call to conquer the frontier in front of them. Little did they knew that their home was soon to fall into enemy hands, but it was not scrap and stones that made Malachor what it was today. The world had changed, but the spirit of the people had stayed the same. Like they had transformed the husk of Malachor in a haven for the galaxy's outcasts, and now Katarr would follow in its footsteps.

Katarr. Malachor had been the place where the Lord of Hunger was reborn in the dark emissary that brought darkness over the galaxy, but Katarr was the site of his greatest victory. Now Abyss would do the same. Malachor had changed him, but Katarr would be his masterpiece, a dark jewel that would stand in defiance to anyone that meant to oppose him again. The next time the enemy would stand as his doorstep, they would be swallowed whole by the darkness.

While the majority of his people had stayed on Malachor, there were still many that came with him to build another world for them. Droids from Firewall, Twi'leks of the Spheres, Scum of the Tainted City and even Farmers of the Blessing had heard the call, and they stood behind their Prophet, their dark Guardian, so another world would be free from chains.

What had been lost homes, ruins and scrap for the last ages would soon become city again, another proud monument of the vision he had for the galaxy. Chaos, anarchy, absolute freedom for all that desired it, kept in a fragile balance by his hand in the shadows. Darth Abyss stood in front of his people, his robe drifting slightly in the wind, as his own began to to unload the ships they came with.

The reclamation of Katarr had begun.

Building a city was a task left to the people. They had proven to be able to do it four time already, so they would manage it a fifth time. Darth Abyss himself had something else to accomplish, he had to create a symbol that would inspire them, like the Scrap Gallery did in the tainted city. While the people all around him began to head out to either scavenge the ruins left behind and take anything of worth, or to build their new homes in what still stood despite Katarrs history, the Sith Lord made his way to what would soon be the new center of the dead world, spray cans in all colors stored in a bag that he carried.

On one of the walls of the former city, the largest and least brittle he had been able to find now stood a single word, painted in red: "Defiance", the name the new city above the old would hold, as much a symbol as it was a provocation to the those that pushed him of his old world. Above it was a picture that overshadowed the ruins below, drawn on the wall with a mix of talent and telekinesis. An abstracted symbol for each of the Free Cities. A glowing spire, a hovering sphere, a tree on a dead world and a wall of fire. They might had left the cities behind, but their spirit lived on right here, right now.

It didn't took long until the first of the new settlers joined their Prophet, and soon the walls around them shined in a number of new colors. The same symbols were dragged through the streets, the girl that marked the Day of the Free, the Cities themselves, and the Mask of their guardian. The spirit was willing, and steel and stone would follow soon.
