STRENGTHS:
+ Wings: As all S'kytri, Phenex has large wings that protrude from his back. Not only for looks, when fully extended they are able to lift him into the air and even soar through the sky. Wings, unlike jetpacks, require no fuel or power. He has grown adept and skilled at using his wings in flight. When not in use, they can be folded up close to his body, able to be hidden beneath loose fitting clothing or robes.
+ Physique: Staying true to tradition, Phenex takes great pride in his physique, spending gratuitous amounts of time preening and maintaining his trim figure. This also helps him maintain a good weight, allowing him to fly effectively with his wings. In addition to that, his dense muscle tone aids him greatly in physical endeavors such as dancing, fighting, or manual labor.
Strategic Thinker: Phenex has always had a mind for strategy and long term planning. He is able to see the big picture and is willing to do what is necessary to win in the end, regardless of what that means in the present, be it losing one fight to win a more important one later. In addition to this, it allows him to choose his battles wisely and exercise discernment in his actions.
BOTH:
+/- Bird Boned: A genetic trait of his people, their bones are hollow, much like a bird's. This allows them to weigh less than a normal human which aids in their ability to fly. Because of the decrease in bone density, they are able to move faster and are more agile than their human counterparts. While this is a strength in some ways, it can also be a weakness as their bones when faced with blunt force trauma are much easier to shatter than a human.
+/- Confidence: Phenex exudes confidence that many do not have. He truly believes he is superior. While giving him an increased sense of confidence, this can also lead to pride and arrogance (Which is common among his species) which can get in the way of relationships (Friend, Acquaintance, or Romantic) and cause rifts between himself and others. You know what they say, pride comes before the fall.
+/- Zealous: As a Neophyte of Ren, he is incredibly dedicated to the Order of Ren and its ideals and practices. Much like a monk, he is zealous which can be of great use and source of strength and motivation however because of this fanaticism it hinders his ability to look past what he believes if faced with a conflicting point of view.
WEAKNESSES:
- Untrained Force: While he has had some training in the Force he has not had formal training nor training in the art of lightsaber combat. As far as Force Powers, he is limited to essentially augmenting his physical abilities and reducing fatigue. In addition, he may have a short range of detection through the Force but for the most part, is untrained.
- Non-Empathetic: Due in part to his arrogance, Phenex finds it difficult to empathize with those less fortunate than himself. This is also a result of his upbringing, being raised as part of the highland clans on Skye he was afforded much better treatment and opportunity than those of the lowland clans.
- Unique Physiology: Because his anatomy is different than most others it can cause issues when performing some menial tasks. Specifically his wings and height make it difficult for him to fit into any small ships and fighter craft are all but out of the question as the wings will not allow for a fully sealed flight suit nor fit well in the cramped cockpit of fightercraft. Though his wings can be folded up to significantly reduce his overall silhouette they still present a larger frame than he would without them. In addition, treating wounds on his wings can be particularly difficult to do on his own.
APPEARANCE:
Phenex stands a towering 7 feet tall, his blue skin tone and jet black hair striking features indeed. Perhaps even more striking are the wings that sprout from his back as all S'kytri have. Piercing cerulean eyes gaze out from his otherwise humanoid face. He boasts an incredibly fit form, much like one might find depicted in an ancient classical art mural... the physique of a god.
BIOGRAPHY:
Phenex hatched from his egg nearly 22 years ago. Hailing from the planet Skye, he belonged to the highland clans, the elite of their people. As part of the premier clans, he was taught from a young age in the ways of speech, art, and dance. He has a penchant for singing, like many of his people and prefers to avoid conflict if necessary. That does not mean he is a pacifist, for if violence and conflict are required he is a force to be reckoned with. While the S'kytri are a peaceful people, when provoked they are deadly foes. In part due to their strong physical conditioning but also due to their agile movements and light weight comparative to their size they are able to strike nimbly and accurately.
All S'kytri are taught how to fight, even if it is not their primary focus. From a young age Phenex, hatched under the name Moloch Dekar, was groomed as a royal guard for the Patriarch. In many ways, this was similar to the First Order's Supreme Leader but on a much smaller scale. As a guard he was taught many combat techniques, typically fighting with a lance or spear but also taught various small arms from blasters to slug-throwers. It was not unheard of for S'kytri to be sensitive to the Force but certainly not all that common. He discovered his abilities mid-childhood and has for the most part unnoticed, been using them passively. It gave him an advantage over his peers and in some cases even those older than he. He found that he could often push beyond even the far limits of physical strain but did not understand this 'power' until he had first seen a Knight of Ren. It had been during one of the First Order's visits to his planet, a reconstruction and restoration of the capitol building established there. He felt drawn to the Knight for a reason he could not explain.
It didn't take long before he made a bold move and approached the knight. At first, the knight was dismissive, surely he had better things to do than deal with a native of the planet Skye. This created a sudden and uncontrollable anger inside the then "Moloch's" being, the Force manifesting itself more powerful than it had in him before. It was this sudden surge in the Force that caught the attention of the Knight. It did not take long before he pledged himself to the Order of Ren, leaving behind his old life on Skye and relocating, taking on a new identity, Phenex Ren.
This is the beginning of his story as a Neophyte, where will his new path take him and who will he become?
