STRENGTHS

• Recoil Negation: The Clairvoyant has an advanced, state-of-the-art energy recovery and recoil negation system, in which the energy that would otherwise manifest as the weapon’s recoil is instead shunted into a micro-power cell installed within the main frame of the rifle, which powers the gravitational field disruptor. In effect, under normal operating conditions, the weapon has effectively no recoil.
• Faux Lightweight: The Clairvoyant’s integrated gravitational field disruptor significantly reduces the weapon’s weight and makes it very easy to transport. This system can be turned on and off at any time, but it is usually off when firing in order to negate recoil and improve accuracy.
• Stopping Power and Armor Penetration: Utilizing a large, 14.5x114mm cartridge, a projectile fired by the Clairvoyant has a high probability of penetrating the armor of light military vehicles and low-flying fighters, provided that they do not have particle shields. It also has the potential to inflict especially destructive effects against armor utilized by heavy powersuit infantry, in addition to molecularly dense, disruptor-resistant organic carapace and other forms of natural armor possessed by monstrous infantry units.
• Sensor Scanning: Layered with a Nykkalt coating, the Clairvoyant is almost completely immune to sensor scans.

WEAKNESSES

• Double Load: The running of the gravitational field disruption module upsets the efficiency of the energy recovery system if both systems are active at the same time, and as such, the weapon will manifest a significantly larger degree of recoil under that condition.
• Physics: Unlike the bolts discharged energy-based weapons, the solid projectiles fired by Clairvoyant are subject to factors like gravity, wind, humidity, and other environmental factors. As such, these factors must be compensated for when firing the rifle, especially at longer ranges. However, due to the speed of the projectiles fired by the Clairvoyant, these effects are somewhat diminished compared to other types of slugthrowers.
• Bolt-Action: Considered by many to be a rather primitive and outdated class of weapon, the Clairvoyant suffers from a low rate of fire, especially compared to more conventional blaster sniper rifles, due to its somewhat manual method of operation.

DESCRIPTION
A fusion of advanced and ancient technologies, the Clairvoyant is a bolt-action slugthrower anti-materiel sniper rifle which is designed as a highly-mobile mobile sniper platform for select operatives and AoC snipers, intended to serve as specialized counter the proliferation of power armor in the modern battlefield. Constructed from a number of hyper-advanced and lightweight materials, the Clairvoyant is built to withstand the extreme stress of firing a large, anti-materiel projectile at supersonic speeds. Designed to be highly-mobile, due to its relatively low mass for a weapon of its class and virtually nonexistent recoil, the Clairvoyant can be fired relatively well from any unsupported position, but its long barrel can make the weapon feel unwieldy in spite of its weight. Nevertheless, the Clairvoyant is an effective sniper system and a potential force multiplier when placed in the right hands.
