The plant can't be harvested, it will die immediately if done so, it will carry its nasty side effect if consumed, which is highly recommended against.
  • Description: During the daylight hours, it appears to be nothing more than a simple folded up plant. However, at night when it blooms it turns into something monstruous. • Aggressiveness Expansion: The plant is aggressive in its expansion, quickly blooming from dropped seeds, across jungle and forest floors. Though it consumes flesh from small animals and insects, it will attack and destroy nearby plants, dominating the area.
Weaknesses:
  • Short Lifespan: The plant has a really short lifespan after full germination, only twelve months after reaching full maturity.
  • Limited Soiled Regions: The plant cannot thrive in certain regions such as caves, mountains, and sides of cliffs.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

The plant known as Phantom Sanguinary has been on Dathomir since the planet's formation. It is unique in design, how it consumes food, and how aggressive it is. The plant was discovered by Gethzeron one night when she was exploring a region of Dathomir whilst brainstorming ideas in her head that would eventually lead to her writing the Book of Shadows. She observed the plant carefully, fascinated by its unique nature and how it ate small animals, something that was unlike anything on Dathomir.

Hoping to take a plant back with her, to plant in her garden with the hopes it would thrive there, it essentially died quickly upon being plucked from the soil. She later observed the secondary effects of the plant when she witnessed one of the plants eaten by one of the accompanying Nightsisters. Over the years upon its discovery, many off-worlder botanists found the plant to be very enchanting, studying it thoroughly; and it was through those studies the plant's mysteries had been unlocked.

Today, the plant can be found thriving in almost every forest, jungle, swamps, and bogs on Dathomir; where they continue to dominate their area aggressively.
