Intent: The Officer's Security Blaster is the first minor-produced product of the Praesitlyn Trade Company. It's full intent is to offer a stun based security weapon for Officers and Nobles for use in areas in which immediate help is only moments away. It is also intended to be the first in a series of Security Applications and Personal Defense Weapons to be produced in the future by the Praesitlyn Trade Company.

Description:
Designed to serve in the capacity as a PDW, the Personal Security Blaster is a stun based blaster pistol that is meant to be used in locations in which immediate aid or aid is available within moments of an attack or otherwise similar altercation. To this end, it's range is limited to a personal space with a maximum range of about the length of a medium sized meeting room. The weapon has three main settings, Low, Medium and High, each of which provide different effects when used.

The low setting generally has a chance to disable a target, rendering the individual incapacitated for up to ten minutes, where as the medium and higher settings generally disable a target for extended periods of time. This time however can vary depending on the species that the weapon is used on. The highest setting though is capable of resulting in the death of an individual of those species whom are more sensitive to electrical charges that would otherwise interfere with their own biochemical impulses.

Each setting also has a limited number of charges, with the power cell needing to be recharged after five shots should the highest setting be used, while the low setting requires recharging after twenty shots. While it is a capable personal defense weapon in areas with aid that is rapidly available, it is otherwise discouraged to be used in a battle situation as a primary weapon.
 
Alright, here I go again.

I cannot endorse anything that has a defined outcome/effect on another character, so I have a few requests for edits. Rather than define a time period of incapacitating someone based on charge degree, I'd like to ask that you change it to "up to x" rather than "between x and y" based on a chance per shot.

Example:
  • Each hit on a low setting has a chance to disable its target, rendering it incapacitated for up to ten minutes.

This is to avoid a situation where someone is literally rendered helpless immediately upon being struck for an extended period of time, regardless of what the writer wishes to occur for their character.
