This rotary cannon is a rapid-fire weapon that utilises the multiple barrels in a rotating cluster to provide a sustained rate of fire greater than single-barrelled Slugthrowers or cannon of similar caliber. The loading, firing, and unloading functions are performed simultaneously in different barrels as they rotate, and the rotation also permits the barrels some time to cool. The rotating barrel cluster is powered by an external force, when first bought it will be powered by an electric motor. But this can be replaced with gas operated versions, to allow a quicker start up speed.
The rate of fire of this cannon has made it extremely popular when facing air units. Because of this it is perfect for a defensive weapon. But it could also be mounted on a vehicle for offensive movements.
The weapon itself is too heavy and large for a single man to carry, let alone fire. But when mounted, usually via a tripod or a specialised frame, the gun can be manned by a single person. Since the weapon is chain fed a reload takes longer than that of an average Slugthrower, and therefore this acts as a major disadvantage when in combat and, to combat this problem the chain belts are sometimes huge, some of them way more than the weapon itself, making a whole new problem. Typically the weapon only fires the 25mm round, meaning it is able to penetrate armoured targets.
