Permission to get in my x-wing and blow something up?

The silver rest wa s aplace not many she hung around with romaed around... in fact the jedi master barely interacted with most beings here. She preferred the solitude of practice and meditation away from them. Where she could clear her mind, reach out with the force and push herself to limits few others saw. The petite being, lightly browned golden skin with starkingly white scars where she had gotten scratched and cut. Her artificial fingers that were on her hand and usually covered by a glove. Black pools for her eyes and short black hair that was done to look proper. Everything about her screamed simple and eloquent compared to the others.. the maids outfit itself that had been worked on also provided her with any number of chances. No one noticed the attendants within the temmples they were here for the ranger and the jedi. It allowed the jedi master herself to slip around and use her super awesome stealth skills of being small to snoop. RIght now though she was moving around the hanger bays looking at some fo the fighters and pilots as she cleaned up astromech droids for the pilots to come and get.

Cody had just returned to the hanger after visiting with some of the heads of the Silver Jedi council who informed him that during his in processing that he had tested well within the limits to become a Jedi if he so chose. It was a shock to him as Cody simply thought he had been lucky and a natural pilot but learning his innate abilities had been enhanced by the force unbeknownst to him was a life-altering realization. What he once thought to be his capacity for skills had just been blown away, but only if he agreed to undergo training and for that, he would have to find a master. The entire ordeal was overwhelming and his mind was swimming with emotions even more so than his hands swimming in the sweat that was now filling his gloves. Realizing his gloves were serving no purpose but to contain the anxieties of his situation he pulled the black leather off freeing his hands that he promptly pressed against his black jumpsuit and then placed the gloves into one of the many pockets of his silver jacket. Finally looking up to take in the surrounding of the hanger Cody brushed the few stray hanging brown hairs up and back into the rest as he watched the hustle and bustle of the hanger that he finally became accustomed to. Cody had been at the Rest for a few weeks now and even after settling in as much as he had it was still too surreal to believe he had finally become a part of something bigger than himself and his tony ambitions. The sight of a woman tending to the droids along the wall reminded him that he still needed to pick up his new R unit that would accompany him onboard his X-Wing. Cody had always rented astro-mechs in his previous employment but now he actually got assigned a permanent unit that he could tweak and perhaps create what he hope to be a successful working symbiosis.

Cody made his way across the hanger over to the young woman kneeling down next to one of the many black and silver painted astro-mechs. It was fitting that the Silver Jedi Order keep their color scheme throughout the majority of their property but it sometimes made finding something a nightmare. Pulling a notepad from his cargo pocket he flipped the page to the note he took when talking to the inventory clerk who assigned him the droid, but failed to show him where it was.

“Um hello, my names Cody Beamont,” The pitch of Cody’s voice varied as he tried to open a dialogue with the occupied woman. A quick cough and he cleared his throat ready to finish his statement, “I was wondering if you knew where I could find an R-9 unit with the serial number 19-894-14-25?” Cody asked as he rattled off the serial number he had written down in his notebook.

Ikki remained where she was and her senses flared.. she was aware of him there and approaching but leaving her back to the boy allowed the jedi master herself to think about how best to approach the situation. She was uncertain about though until he was speaking and asking about the droid. She stood up to her full size... under five foot with her hair short and away fro her face. Midriff showing in the uniform but few things could beat a krayt dragons hide and her gloves hands were there. She clasped her hands interlacing her fingers in fron of herself while turning in the small skirt and her boots. "THis way." She spoke softly offering a small shy smile.. down downcast and demure but she wanted to find out about him.. there was a game and seing how one reacted could go a long way before she moved towards the wall panel bringing up the droids. Iki walked softly barely making a sound as she stopped touching the screen and typing in the call command for the droid while she was typing in thr serial number. "Hmm seems he was assigned to Master Ike's padawan." Ikki had never said her name and the small atrisian looked at the boy. "COngratulations, the Ike's are well regarded as jedi masters."

Initially, the woman stood and moved with grace and vigor but as they moved towards the wall panel he noticed a change in her behavior to something more reclusive. It was a bit odd but Cody hesitated too long to inquire about the woman and her life here in the Silver Rest as she quickly made her way up to the console and began plugging away. Stand there waiting for her to finish her work so that he might have a chance to properly thank her and perhaps have a bit of small talk about life as he was still trying to find his place, but the announcement of the droid being assigned to Master Ike’s padawan took him by surprise.

“There must be a mistake I was assigned the droid just the other day,” Cody walked just behind the young woman peering over her shoulder at the screen. “The property clerk must have gotten something wrong or perhaps padawans take priority?” Cody wasn’t sure how exactly things worked but he was confused and frustrated.

He could feel anxiety rising with his body temperature as a small bead of sweat began to form on his forehead. “Excuse me,” Cody said to the woman as he brushed by her so he could utilize the console.

With a few quick swipes, he found what he was looking for down at the bottom of the page and to his disbelief it was his signature and ID number. “I’m so confused.” Cody ran his hand through his brow followed by a sigh. “I only just got offered to take my training I haven’t even decided whether or not I wanted to. Do this kind of thing happen a lot here?”

A miscommunication or a Master so aggressively seeking to train someone, especially him it was just beyond him at the moment. Cody couldn’t even begin to fathom it all as he put his back against the wall and started sliding down to the ground. Everything just seemed to be shutting down, what little control he thought he had was simply an illusion and now he was dangling helplessly without a clue.

She was curious about him... having a chance to meet a padawan without the formality without the whole instant recognition and respect thing.. It allowed you to learn what you can about them. See how they would react around someone who they thought was just another person. "Are you alright?" Ikki said it while he seemed to be going through so many emotions and leaning against the wall she knelt in front of him. Offering a small pocket square to wipe his forehead. "Does this news not mean good things for you? Being the padawan of a jedi master is a big thing." She patted at his forehead and spoke softly though remaining where she was.

"THere there padawan Beamont, it will be okay. Think of this as a chance to grow and experience new things." She said it and offered a smile that was soft and radiated warmth while offering a hand. "Or at least that is what most might think... maybe I am just being a silly girl trying to sound like I know things." She gave a gigle and let her voice sound like tiny bells chiming to sooth. "I am just a maid here in the rest, not nearly as important as the padawans or the jedi masters... you shouldn't pay much attention to me." Ikki stood up though and walked backwards a little offering a hand. "I can take you to where your droid is if you want."

Cody appreciated the sentiment but he wasn’t one for being touched without being told and worse has he had no idea where the pocket square had been. While in the back of his mind he was panicked not knowing the possible infectious nature of the rag he found himself being lulled by the sweet perfume smell on the square and the maids her soft touch and comforting words.

“The news is potentially great, but being thrust from a simple pilot into such a prestigious position as a padawan is overwhelming.” Perhaps if Cody had time to prepare he wouldn’t have reacted so poorly but the truth is even in his chaotic state he was secretly excited.

Cody took a deep breath and then look back up at the maid, “Your right I should embraces this not cloud myself with all these emotions.” Cody smiled back and her and took her hand raising himself up onto his feet. “Everyone serves an important part in the machine that is the Silver Jedi Order, I haven’t been here long but without everyone’s hard work and dedication this organization or any other would be impossible.”

Cody didn’t want to admit it but without her kind words and actions, he would have run for the first transport off planet. There was something oddly calming about her demeanor, perhaps it came with the territory of serving others or maybe there was more to her. Never the less Cody was ready to get his droid and hopefully find his new master to discuss their future.

“If you wouldn’t mind I would appreciate your help finding the droid and if you could direct me to Master Ike’s I would be forever in your debt.” Cody raised his arm gesturing for her to show the way and a slight nod to thank her.

She looked at him and he seemed to be feeling better as she spoke nodding ehr head and turning around. Using the embarrassed flush of her cheeks. He could think of it what he would.. she couldn't stop him as he seemed happy and ready to go and meet his master. Ikki hiding her face though while she spoke. "Then I can take you there, come along." She moved slowly mostly to let him follow and stay with her while exiting the hanger bay to the larger hallway that connected to an outside landing pad. A mynock transport being loaded up with droids and equipment while she motioned for him to follow and the droids were all around.

"Ah here we go." She said it and stood there looking at some of the droids while getting his out along with her own. "Your astromech is here being transported to your masters hanger bay," She said it and looked at some of the things they had as wel with other equipment, food stuffs, research notes and left over pieces of recovered tech for opening and checking to see what it was or salvaging and breaking down to use within other pieces of equipment. Ikki motioned for him to sit down on one of the benches while the transport was heading. "Your master is one of the Ike's, they have rebuilt parts of the older temple and use it."

Her hand came out as in the distance from the viewport there was a temple peaking over the trees themselves to provide what was essentially a temple built into the branch of the trees. Then it was working to wrap around becoming something else so they could have it, the transport bringing what was something different showing their jedi fighters on top and going in where droids were being produced, wookiee's and engineers who were setting up equipment. "We are here." She offered him a smile and was excited a little practically bouncing up and down in her outfit as she was going tiwht him. "So tell me about yourself padawan."

She said it and looked at him doe eyed and with almost anticipation on her face, she wanted to learn everything about him and get to have an idea of her padawan though. She stayed there and looked around. "THere are some things though... first thing you should know is there are several master Ike's. The family is a long standing jedi family, they serve the lightside and the force offering their skills as artisan's and engineers of the force. They make most of the equipment that the jedi use to give you whatever you may need." Ikki was saying it while she walked out of the ramp of the ship and looked around at the droids being offloaded.

"Hmmm if you are one of their padawans, you'll likely have a room here in the temple, somewhere they would... oh I know I usualy am assigned to clean the rooms in the midday." A smile was on her face though while she walked. "I have a room in one of the lower rungs in the trees, we have been building a means for the shadowlands to be used and with the help fo the wookiee's the lower we have gone the more dangerous but we are learning about the history of this planet and hekping the jedi get a better understanding." Ikki said it and pointed. "Hey there are the ships.. maybe she is over there."

Cody followed closely behind as the woman escorted him to the transport being loaded with supplies, droids, as well as a familiar bag of his own belongings. Whoever Master Ike was they moved very quickly and he felt oddly comfortable with that. Cody knew he was behind on the scale of knowledge and experience with the force and perhaps with a Master that had moved so quickly perhaps he could catch up with all the other more talented Jedi. They didn’t have to wait long for the transport finish loading and lift off leaving the rest in the distance. Cody had many questions about the temple, his new master, and even his future but the trip ended long before he could even begin to start.

The inquisitive nature of the woman made Cody himself curious but for the moment he would entertain her until he got to his new master. “There isn’t much to say I grew up with my family running transport wherever there was cargo to run. After my parent's death, I turned to a few different local defense forces trying to lend my skills as a technician until I learned to fly a fighter.” Cody paused for a moment looking down at his hands with a hint of sorrow in his voice he continued on. “After a few years of that I applied to the Silver Jedi Order and well here I am simple as that.”

Cody didn’t like to dwell on his past especially that of his parent’s death as it was unresolved and it only brought back the depressing memories. Turning back up to her he continued to listen as she spoke of the long lineage of the Ike family and that even now there were many Masters with the Order. Following her down off the ramp Cody was glad to hear that they were more than just healers and philosophers as Cody was quite interested in a Jedi engineer.

Cody didn’t know much about Kashyyyk but the first thing anyone told him was that he should never go anywhere near the shadowlands if he could avoid it. A place filled with mystery and things from nightmarish stories even the Wookiees avoided it except for the rare ceremony that demanded the trip. While there was a certain allure to explore such an unknown region Cody himself felt woefully unprepared for that sort of challenge, at least for now. Within the long line of waiting ship was even Cody’s own X-Wing which made him feel a little better if things got a bit out of hand he at least could make his escape in his own ship.

“Perhaps she is but before we continue on may I get your name? I never caught it and it seems rude to continue on without properly thanking you.” Cody had been so caught up in the action he felt guilty for skipping even the most basic of courtesy. He was also hoping to pry a bit into the young woman herself, while many of the custodians were well informed she seemed more so than the average and the curiosity was catching up to him.

Ikki was looking at him and she offered a smile while walking towards the ships so that they would be able to see it. She turned to look at him as she spoke. "Well I am Ikki." She said it with a smile and had been careful she had told him there was a master Ike who had chosen him but never gave the first name while there was a small look. "I work in the rest but I am from the Atrisian royal palace. When Princess Junko came to the silver jedi she brought myself and several others." She clasped her hands in front of herself and bowed to him. "I answer the com channels, I clean the floors and if needed know how to defend the rest."

She offered it with a smile on her face though and didn't show off her saber as there was a small image on one of the walls of the different Ike's. Atrisian born with their distinct features, black hair, black eyes, shorter statue but most of them were wearing kimono's witht heir sabers. It was a family picture and she had been the one there that took the picture. Not to be excluded but more to keep herself as one of the few who could be seen. Iki continued to walk and was listening to his story.. curious and more so while she went towards the larger room as she opened it up. Revealing a lavish room with couches and a window that looked out.

The coastline of Kashyyyk was massive and it went to the ocean showing some parts of it while from another you could see the distance to where the silver rest was. Built into the thick branch itself though this room was made to be a massive round meeting and communal area the jedi here could meet. Ikki motioned for him. "Please you can wait here for master Ike' she was alerted you are here and will be coming to meet you." SHe made sure the seat was dusted off before she was looking at him. "If you would like padawan, I could get you food or tea. I can service as well if your muscles are sore with a massage."

The coincidences were beginning to stack and Cody didn’t like the coincidence, there was always a more straightforward answer rather than simple luck. Ikki seems to have intimate knowledge of the Ike family, unrivaled access to both the Silver rest and the ancient temple, and to top everything off she had many of the same physical features as of those in the Ike family photo he had just seen. While it might be true that Ikki had come with the Princess Junko to the Silver Order it seemed like there was more to the story. Cody took the seat that Ikki offered up and wondered was she a member of the family sent to discreetly sent to retrieve him for his new master, or simply a by-product of a lustful relationship covered up to avoid possible tarnish the Ike royal name. Cody wanted to seek out the knowledge but asking such probing questions might cause a ripple in the pond with unknown consequences and he didn’t want to start off on the wrong foot with his new master.

The view was breathtaking for sure but it still only paled in comparison at least to him to the beauty of the many sights and scenes he had taken in during his travels in deep space. Keeping in mind that this was his home for now and that it could have been somewhere much worse he was quite happy with how things were turning out even if a bit rushed. The fact that the temple was built into the massive tree and only had a few artificial superstructures was more interesting to Cody than the view of the rest and oceans beyond. The sheer amount of calculations and studies that must have taken place for each cut and carving to maintain the structure but also create enough living space seemed like a lifetime worth of work. The fact that even now they continue to expand deeper down meant that he too might get the opportunity to meet those behind this great achievement and even his master might be one of them. His concerns about Ikki’s possible deception or intentional withholding of information slipped away as he awed at the magnificence of the work around him.

Cody chuckled on the inside as Ikki offered up a massage, it didn’t matter how sore or sick he was Cody detested being touched. The dislike probably grew from the lack of room in space travel with people always crammed into spaces far too small to accommodate them all. The freedom he finally afforded within his own X-Wing cockpit and now of that among the Silver Jedi Order was something he planned to hold on to as long as he could.

“I don’t want to put you out, you’ve already done so much, but if you happen to cross paths with my R unit could you send it this way I would like a quick chat with it before Master Ike arrives.” It was true that he hadn’t eaten for the majority of the day even the deaf might hear his stomach growl in protest Cody was more concerned with making sure his equipment was ready just in case the need arose.

“O and just in case I don’t see you again and I forget my manners I wanted to thank you for everything today you have been a great help. If there is anything I can do to repay you please let me know.” Cody smiled and gave Ikki a small wave as he turned back to the view.

Ikki was looking at him and she heard his stomach as he sat there and bolted upright. "Of course, if I see him, please stay here and I will return with food for you padawan." She offered a larger smile and moved away quickly and silently though as she exited through one of the doorways. Offering a small smile and finally turned in case he needed anything else. THe jedi master visibly shifted as she was heading towards the kitchen and the astromech that was assigned to her padawan came near her. THe whoops and beeps sounding off as she spoke. "Yes I know he hasn't figured it out. I was hoping to test his skills of perception."

More beeps and whoops while his head turned and the jedi master looked down at him. "No, I will tell him... maybe if he can figure it out then that is important but he seems to be working things out in his head maybe. THe question is will he be able to really follow through with the lines of thought." The droid sounded at her while they were in the kitchen and she was getting some of the meats, breads, cheeses and veggies to let him make a sandwich before she put it on a trey and held it with one hand guiding the droid. "Now we're going to go back out there and you are going to be quiet. Let him learn who I am on his own understood."

SHe didn't make it a question the astromech beeping sadly but following with her as she shifted a little to go back into the look of a servant with a smile on her face seeing him. "Padawan Beamont here. I brought you something to eat." THe smile was on her face and her eyes lit up with the enjoyment of helping before she was moving and stood there with the trey in her hands and set it down next to him. "I made you a sandwich, hame, beef, cheese with tomato and lettuce. Some sweet bread and tangy aeoli sauce." Ikki knelt down to hold the trey for him while she offered a smile. "Is there anything else you would like padawan." She smiled while the astromech was moving to her side.

“You must be a mind reader,” or simply perceptive, Cody chuckled as he swiftly lifted the sandwich from the tray and took a large bite.

The sandwich was quite tasty with a burst of flavor he hadn’t been accustom to during his long years among the stars. The fresh ingredients made for quite the difference at least when compared to the dried and frozen meals that came conveniently packaged in rations.

“So this must be my droid?” Cody asked but already knew the answer was yes. “Come on over let me get a better look at you.”

The droid popped out his third leg and rumbled down the waxed wooden floor with his all-terrain tread pulling him along at a quick pace. The droid stopped only inches away from Cody’s sit and stood there looking back at him with his large optical sensor as if hiding something. Cody had worked with droids the majority of his life and almost seemed to have an unnatural connection with them like he could sense what their circuits were up to. Perhaps it was a passive force ability he had yet to learn from his master but he could tell something was a bit off about the droid even before it got to him.

“You’re awful quiet for an Astro-mech, usually I can’t get the things to shut up.” Cody smiled and took another delicious bite of his sandwich waiting for a reaction.

The droid lets out a sharp set of beeps to protest Cody’s claims, but that only further reinforced his assumption. “Well, now it seems we have something a conundrum on our hands.” Cody poked at the droids mid assembly playfully. The droid beeped and bopped back at Cody as to let him know nothing was out of the norms and his programming was working at full capacity.

Learning binary early in his childhood he had become fluent long ago and easily translated, “I have no doubt in that but you are holding something back.” Cody simply smiled at the droid and poked him again but a bit more forceful as to get across a point.

Once again the droid whistled, beeped and bopped in protest but this time deploying his utility arms and twisting back and forth in frustration.

“O don’t worry I know your just doing what you're told.” Cody patted the little droid on the head and stood up taking the last bite of the sandwich.

Turning to Ikki he had a look of seriousness about him he rarely took on but he had neared the end of his rope without being confrontational. Cody wasn’t one for pressing matters to the point of creating an awkward or uncomfortable situation but he had no other option.

“Ok Ikki I need a straightforward answer, I know something isn’t quite right here and I can’t as of yet put my finger on it.” Cody joking poked at his chin as he walked behind his Astro-mech. “There is more to this story then what you’re letting on, perhaps our little deceiver here can shed some light.” Cody tugged on the Astro-mechs upper torso urging it to spin and face him.

“Do you know what’s going on?” Cody talked sternly toward the droid while putting up a hand to Ikki to stop any protest.

The droid whistled calmly of its innocents, “Ah see I know your lying, let me see how deep this rabbit hole goes.” Cody stood upright looking down on the droid. “Is Ikki the maidens’ real name?” Cody asked squinting his eyes waiting for a reply.

The droid gave a few quick beeps confirming her name, “Ah well at least I know you can tell the truth, but is Ikki simply a service worker?” The droid reacted poorly with a quick extension and crossing of its utility arms and turning away.

It seems he was done already with the questions and that left Cody with no other alternative. “Alright ornery I guess I’m done interrogating you for now. So then Ikki what are you really?” Cody was done with the games and simply wanted the truth to finally come out.

Ikki was listenign to him and stood there still and unreadable as she listened to the droid.. it wasn't giving her away as she had ordered and the padawan seemed to be going along some of the different things. She wasn't certain what direction his mind was going but he asked questions about her and got her name confirmed. "Well I am just a lowly maid, here to serve you and help you padawan Beamont." SHe watched him with her face before she was speaking. "But I am afraid padawan your instincts have served you well enough but not fully. You suspected something more was going on, you suspected about me but I am a little disappointed."

She said it while standing there and moved forward with a look at him and brought up a small napkin to fuss at his mouth. To make sure he had no crumbs. "A padawan shouldn't have crumbs on his attire." Ikki remained there where she was standing and finished up. "I am Ikki Ike, jedi master and I do work in the temple cleaning up after the others. It allows me to remember that while I am a jedi master with great power I am not above the lowest being employed here." She said it while looking at him though and she clasped her hands behind her back while standing tall and at the ready. "Now padawan Beamont you should look professional in the presence of your master."

Cody knew there was more to the story but was shocked by the fact that Master Ike had somehow orchestrated his recruitment, transportation of his equipment and personal belongings, and place herself in position to intercept him within a few hours of his meeting with the council. Cody was equally embarrassed by his initial reaction in front of his Master and frustrated at her current statement. How could he possibly have known such an elaborate trap had been set for him so quickly and with such precision, but the fact he even noticed a discrepancy at all would baffle most. Instead here stands his new Master seemingly displeased with the fact that he was unable to uncover the entire farce with only a few breadcrumbs he uncovered.

“I blaming you for binding your truth algorithms,” Cody glared as the Astro-mech for a moment then back to his Master.

Cody wasn’t sure what do to do next he stood there with still filled with disbelief. Perhaps this was the second part of her scheme and he wanted to end it before it got any worse. “You’ll have to forgive me, Master,” He said with a submissive but strong tone. “You’ll have to forgive my ignorance Master but given the distinct disadvantage, I still did quite well I think. There is always room for improvement, but perhaps that is a lesson for another time.”

Cody wanted to defend himself but at the same time not come off brash, “Given that introductions are clearly out of the way how might we proceed?” Cody was sincere in his question as he had little to no knowledge of formal interactions between padawan and master but he was ready to learn.

Ikki looked at him seeming to get frustrated and she gave him a look keeping her hands behind her back when she moved backwards a little with a smile on her face. "It is okay, that is why you are a padawan so that you can learn. Now come, we'll get your ship and we can fly up to mine." She said it while she was walking with her droid coming to join. Pale gold and black plating as the hovering astromech used repulsors and was more like a can but it beeped looking at her. "Of course, we are going back up to the ship." She said it and there was an X-wing set up in the hanger near her padawans, bulkier and black able to blend in more. "My stealthx."

Once again Master Ike’s smile and words brought Cody back down out of his emotional state making him once again level-headed. It seemed like less of a mystery now that he knew her real identity as Cody assume she had some passive force ability or just a calming nature he had yet to completely discover.

“Come on bender,” Cody smiled as he looked down at his Astro-mech who whistled and honked back in protest. “O no, you like to mess around with your sub-routines and lie I’m going to make sure everyone knows,” Cody exclaimed as he stepped off following Master Ike.

Bender only softly beeped in submission almost as if he regretted his earlier actions, but almost instantly his tone once again changed to upbeat as it whistled and beeped with excitement deploying its treads and chasing after the duo. As the three entered the hanger and Master Ike’s droid joined them Cody noticed a stark difference as Bender was the usual brightly shined Silver with black undertones that the majority of the Silver Jedi equipment was but Master Ike’s droid was sleeker with a pale gold and secondary black plating.

“Perhaps you need a new paint job or else you’ll stick out like a sore thumb on the back of my X-Wing.” Cody only being semi-serious as he pointed over at his grey but almost black with orange stripped Onyx squad X-Wing.

Sporting a unique paint job on the surface and a whole host of modifications below the hood the Onyx squad had only just received their custom-built X-Wings as to help them stand out as a more elite fighter squadron among the mass of the Silver Order Spacy.

“Go hope in and get the systems running I’ll be there in a moment.” Cody waived bender on and turned towards his master. “Master I will take my leave and follow you to your ship.” Giving a quick nod of his head rushed off to go jump into his X-Wing.

His departure from his master might have been a bit too informal but not knowing the etiquette and being far too excited to board his ship he simply rushed off. This would be his first time piloting the new fighter with a droid aiding his already considerable talent and skill, but at the same time he wasn’t sure how willing Bender might be to help out after their initial interaction.

“Look, buddy, I know we got off on the wrong foot but you got to know we are going to need to work together up there or I might have to eject you.” Cody smiled jokingly as Bender beeped and honked begrudgingly at Cody.

Slipping on his hard suit that had been conveniently left in his cockpit and afterwords mounting up. Flipping the hatch switch his canopy slid closed and a whistle could be heard as the cockpit became airtight. “Alright, buddy lets finish the systems check and get the engines fire up,” Cody spoke into his commlink to Bender who spun down inside the X-Wings interior and then reemerged a moment later triggering green lights across Cody’s instrument panels.

With everything looking within the normal reading range Cody waived to the ground crew who pulled away the restrictors and steps. A few more panel presses and his X-Wing engine roared to life which filled Cody with an unrivaled excitement he only ever felt in the cockpit. Pleased with how everything looked Cody waited and watched his masters' ship waiting to follow her out and up to her ship in orbit.

Ikki was looking at him and then looked at his fighter with a small grin when she climbed into her stealth x-wing with a grin. "Follow me then." She said it while activating the engines and not the stealth systems. Communications black out was a thing and she wanted him to be able to follow her before she was moving in the ship and working on the holodisplay. The ship started up, hovering there as she turned it towards the entrance to the hanger and was setting the course for her ship. The hammerhead ship in orbit leading the way when she took off in the stealth x faster then most. The supped up engine able to kick up quickly and boost her speed and performance compared to many of the others.

She wanted to see if her padawan could keep up for a moment as the ship went up towards the hammerhead and it was there. Sleek, silver and black with a thicker wintrium head that could be used for ramming speeds and wouldn't break as easily compared to most. With tunqstoid behind it as a super heavy material to add kinetic impact to them. Ikki went along it and into the hanger as there was space not for squadrons but the modular racks would hold the fighters for them. The racks were setup for them as she landed and climbed out letting the astromech move around. The jedi master stood there as the droid and biot crew moved around with the ranger marine division for security.

SHe started to walk once he was aboard and out allowing him to orient himself to the ship itself. She was moving and stood by the hager blast doors to head inside with all of the hall ways, small cleaning droids moving around making sure it looked god. The biot soldiers who worked to protect it and handle the functions. They were like droids but able to act as needed while still being well completely loyal and in this case they were loyal to their ship and the captain of it. Ikki bowed her head when she stopped and touched one fo the holographic panels to set a course she could use with the new biometrics and hardlight display. She could set a course from anywhere on the ship.

Master Ike might have been in a rush but Cody was in no hurry to end his flight as he had only clocked a handful of hours in his new X-Wing and he enjoyed every second of it. Cody made sure to catch Master Ike’s IFF signature just as she launched out of the hanger at high speeds launching almost directly upwards towards the ionosphere. Cody diverted power to the maneuvering thrusters and turned and burned out of the hanger a few seconds after his Master. The Skies above the temple were clear excluding one or two small clouds floating along in the distance, turning his thrusters to full burn he turned the nose of the X-Wing upwards at a safe angle to leave atmosphere falling a bit behind his Masters' trail. Cody wasn’t use to flying in the atmosphere and didn’t take any chances when trying to break free especially as he didn’t know the limitations of the Onyx configured X-Wing. G-forces began pressing down on Cody the more his fighter tried to resist and break free from Kashyyyk hold, but with a final twitch at the control stick the X-Wing snapped free. The X-Wing engines roared with excitement that Cody himself echoed as the engines full power could finally be unleashed in the weightlessness of space. Giving the fighter a quick maneuvering check Cody put it into a full spin than into a combined backspin, but still not satisfied Cody put the fighter back into a straight flight and then cut the main engine power then igniting the rear maneuver thrusters that caused the ship to start spinning cartwheels forward in space. Bender cried out in beeps and bops of terror unprepared for the maneuver and panicking over the unstable sensor readings. The ships readings were showing hazards and caution indicators but nothing was failing but Cody was starting to feel the effects so he pushed the ship back down leveling it out and taking a moment to float as he readjusted to his environment.

“Well things seem to be in a working order, but where did Master Ike go?” Cody stated as he reapplied forward thrusters.

Cody’s 3D display lit up as Bender forward tracking information on Master Ike’s ship who was now docking with a hammerhead class cruiser in orbit. Following suit Cody lined up with the cruiser and began his own docking procedures which went off without incident. Letting out a sigh of disappointment over the end of his short flight Cody disembarked his X-Wing and quickly pulled off his hard suit placing it back in the cockpit.

“Run a diagnostic and tweak the reverse lusters to output another twenty pounds a square inch I feel they are a bit too sluggish,” Cody told Bender as he rushed over to join his Master at the bulkhead.

“Well that was exhilarating I feel like I could take on a Rancor right about now,” Cody said to Master Ike with an enthusiastic smile growing across his face.

Looking at her padawan as he came to join her she had a grin on her face. "it is fun isn't it?" She enjoyed working with the fighters and going around but there was a whole lot more. Iki was walking down the halls of the ship letting the cleaning droids and repair droids go around. She stopped outside of the one room and it opened up to reveal... her room. "Wait out here, I'll be right back." Ikki said it and looked at him while she entered and rolled her shoulders. Changing out of the maids outfit into the skylar training suit. Her cybernetic fingers visible while she held her slicewire gloves in her belt taking a thorn of ryloth that she had managed to modify into a lightsaber blade.

It was concealed and smaller compared to many but it functioned like a saber baton for defense since she didn't use much else. her slice wire made from phrik and able to cut through pretty much everything she needed to while she used her size and speed to dodge or get around quickly. other things was few could see the wire itself and would often have it slice them up when she took her head piece off and shook out her hair letting it be a little longer then normal but she smiled opening the door again and if he waited why not. If not she could find him... it was her ship after all while Ikki was walking and leading the way towards the ships training rooms.

"Come along" She said it with a smile though for Cody and walked in the training garb, skylar being a form fitted compression material designed from duraplast and shell spider silk it was far more protective compared to other materials. The compression letting them have the temperature regulation for heat and cold, improving circulation to the body when they worked around. Ikki stretched out going into the room and opening the modular armory that was built into the wal units. Different racks of weapons and equipment on display from old spears and swords to newer modern technologies for whatever type of training you might want.

Cody followed his master while taking in the atmosphere of the crew and droids moving about the ship with quicken pace. Never in his wildest dreams did Cody think a Jedi could have a ship crewed by hundreds under their control, ready to execute their very order on the spot. Cody could sense the motion of the ship turnabout angling itself away from the planet below and the surge of power being siphoned by the engines in preparation for a jump into hyperspace. As a child, Cody would find himself feeling ill whenever things like that occurred and never knew why no one else ever noticed it but as he grew up he acclimated to the sensations and discovered that others didn’t feel it like he did. Perhaps another talent he might be able to explore with his new Master but for now, he was simply following here about until they stopped at her quarters and he was commanded to remain there.

Was this what training to become a Jedi would be like Cody thought as he waited patiently, always dealing with the illusions, tricks, and orders. It was too early to make such rash assumptions but he hoped there would be more to this day then simply following the leader. A few more minutes passed before Master Ike reappeared in the doorway, but she wasn’t the same. No longer did a subservient handmaiden but rather a sleek armored long-haired warrior almost appearing as an assassin.

“Looks can be deceiving,” Cody stated as he once again beckoned the call of his master to follow her.

Cody wasn’t sure what he was in for but Master Ike had dressed for combat and he was still on his loss fitting clothing as he was expecting a leisurely afternoon tweaking his fighter not taking part in whatever she was planning on getting into. It didn’t take long for her intentions to become clear as the two found themselves in a sparring chamber with racks upon racks of weapons spanning from eras that Cody couldn’t even identify.

“Wow this room is insane,” excited by all the weaponry Cody rushed over to one side and began examining all the different weapons. “So when do I get the iconic lightsaber, can’t wait to learn how to bounce blaster fire around.” Cody smiled and continued his examination.

Cody was pretty proficient with a blaster pistol and knew his way around the rifle but he never really used a melee weapon except for maybe his fathers’ staff. None of his previous experience could prepare him for anything along most of the walls as he continued running his hand across ancient axes, bladed tridents, spears, daggers, and swords of various types. The last wall covered in a handful of blasters seemed like something he could get along with but it wasn’t much of a weapon for a Jedi he thought. Doubling back Cody found a pair of crossed silver, medium length vibroblades with intricately leather wrapped handles with small tassels at the end hanging just at head high, and for a second he imagined himself twirling the blades around deflecting strikes and swing them like he had been doing it for decades.

“Hmmm,” he made the sound as he turned back to his Master standing in the room with him. “I could get behind a set of these I think.” Cody smiled and waited for instruction from his Master.
