Perfect insanity

Coruscant; 11:34 p.m.

The world is a dark place to be when you have nothing to rely on but your own selfish thoughts and desires. The smell of fresh blood filled the air, not very uncommon in the under city of Coruscant. However, it wasn't a normal case. In the depths of a dark alley, a man sat next to a small fire, eating. A dead body lay next to him, chunks of flesh missing from it. A mane of shaggy white hair glowed in the firelight, and crimson eyes shown into the night. Dante swallowed the bland piece of cooked meat in his hands, then reached down to cut another piece away. Insanity will do wonders to the soul. Hunger can destroy it. Both together create a monster. But when society won't accept you, what else can you do but live off of the fruits of the world? In this case, the fruit was human flesh. Were he in a tropical jungle, he would have gladly eaten the plants and animals natural to the habitat. However, here on Coruscant, his meals were far and few between due to him being purged from society. The only food he ever had was the occasional helpless victim that happened to come across his path. Did it horrify him? Of course. However, when one sees a demon, one must defend themselves. Looking down at the man he had killed, the one he had originally perceived to be a raging wampa, he sighed softly. With every vision, with every kill, he only lost another piece of his humanity. Perhaps it was already all gone. Perhaps.

Coruscant; 11:34 p.m.

HK moved through the crowds and abandoned alleys of Coruscant unseen, although made from metal, he had necessary equipment to accomplish such a task. His body was wrapped in the old chameleon cloak he was given long time ago, his movements hidden by his sound-dampening module.
He scanned the streets and alleys, moving swiftly and silently, tracking his prey with his long-ranged sensors, tracking the trail of organic matter of the subject he was trying to bring to justice.

The hunt would take a while to conclude, after all, Coruscant was filled to the brim with beings, thankfully, he began early enough that he was coming to the end of his tracking efforts. He cursed every second his target remained free, free to take more lives and free to cause more sorrow. The droid hoped that it would not last too much longer, however.

Finally he came onto an alley with large amount of organic matter, he scanned it closer, it was blood.
Unseen, he slithered closer to it, inspecting it to identify what was happening in there. He saw the white ruffled mane of a man feasting on meat of the corpse cooking by the small fire.

HK was sure it was his target, straightening up he stepped into the shadow at the entrance of the alley, stepping out he deactivated his cloak, revealing his tall armored figure to Dante, grey cloak cascading off of his shoulders as he pushed back it's hood and veil.
He took a hilt hanging off of his weapon belt and a small dark grey ball into his other hand.
"Do you know why I am here?"
He spoke to the man, looking at him, inspecting him
"You are sick, I have come here to help you. Do not try to run."
He gripped the hilt of his lightsaber surely, they always tried to run, or fight, but it was not HK's intention to kill the being.

Of course, when blood was spilled there was always more than one shark circling these waters. Thankfully, in Dante's case, HK-94 was more of a docile dogfish than any real threat. He watched from afar from sheer interest, headlights focused in on the more updated model rather than the young man eating his own kind. HK's gibbering to himself was kept to nonsensical chirrups and clicks, tiny noises that imitated a clock's ticking he'd heard from a human machine not too long ago.

He couldn't quite remember what happened before he saw that machine. Possibly a job? Oh, goodness, he most likely shouldn't have been charging at an unfamiliar docking station. He'd have to send an apologetic letter to that hangar that suffered a blackout when he was done figuring out what he was supposed to do.

HK had a target. Yes? Yes. A target. That sounds about right. That's what his programming tells him. But what sort of target? Was the other droid the target? Was that dead man the target? Certainly not that little wendigo, though. After all if he was going after a cannibal then he'd have a bit more than a silencer. Probably an electric bantha prod.

"Processing.... processing..."

HK mused to himself, his tone dulled as he stood at his last remembered post with his firearm over his carapace chest. The droid idly tapped the weapon to his rusted vocal transmitter, trying to see if maybe gently nudging the metal organ around would somehow result in an epiphany. A prerecorded message. Anything? No? Alright, then. Nothing. He was just going to have to guess and see who looked like a more likely target.

[Critical Error: MEMORY WIPE. Await further instructions from <Insert Master Name>.] "[AUDIBLE CONFUSION]: Hmh..." HK looked off to the side to perhaps look at the other droids that were in the basic area. They were all docile models, but they were just... standing guard outside this warehouse. The HK looked absurdly out of place as he assumed a guard position, a gun clearly intended for long-range sniping being crossed over his chest and held in an attempt to blend in. Maybe if he pretended to be other droids for long enough he'd be able to recall what he needed to kill. Or rather, who his Master was. All he was getting when he searched in his memory was elevator music, which was never a good sign. But it was quite relaxing.

Hearing an automated, metallic voice, Dante looked up to see a very tall droid. His long hair pulled apart to reveal his hungering eyes, lusting for nourishment. However, this being had none to offer. Instead, it held it's hand at a strange looking cylindrical object, which constantly shined from the light of the fire. At one point, it even shined into his face, and he cringed, jumping up and crawling backward like a feral animal. "Hs-hsskk..." He tried to say something, but his voice came out deep and husky, like it hadn't been used in years. It hadn't.

'Run, dear. He has nothing to offer you.'
'Run, ya idiot! That's a lightsaber! H'means te kill ya!'
The man winced and held his head as the rambling sounds of his parents' voices ran through his head. Suddenly, the droid wasn't a droid anymore. Dante looked back up, and he saw a winged demon from the gates of techno hell. He heard whirring sounds emanate from it, followed by the flash of a wickedly- curved sword. This was no normal demon. Shaking his head, he dropped the piece of meat in his hand and took off in the other direction.

Walking down the streets of coruscants upper levels the sith apprentice who had the ability to just blend in walked confidently toward the undeground, her own mind throwing the events of her past through her mind, the night was cold and barren but it was no more strange than the cold of space.. fact is her own ship needed repairs and that is one reason she came to coruscant, she was hoping to find a repair person since it was the closest planet to her.

Unlike her elder sister, the Princess of her race she had only a few abilities.. she had Telekinesis, leap, speed, and reflexes but nothing else and this always made her bitter since her sister always got everything.. including the prominent role on their world while Tonya always got the worst of everything, she was always the hated one and the one who got the beatings from their pathetic mother.. this is one reason she left the world at such a young age.

Walking up to the lift she got inside and then quickly got to the underbelly of coruscant, walking out she smirked and continued to walk on with her own lightsaber tonfas hooked to her cashmere pants, her own mind focused but racing and finding the underground to be suitable she began to roam freely, so far no jedi or guards have placed her for what she is so it is good.. as she walks on she opens her mind to the force and hears a whisper and surveys the areas for signs of conflict, she could care less but something tells her that her own fate will be determined here soon.

HK quickly squeezed the grey ball he was holding as the man stood up, activating it, he took a swing, throwing it at Dante when he started to run as if it was a baseball. He aimed for the dead center of the man's back, using his targeting protocols in attempt to be as precise as possible.
If the ball would hit it would explode on the man in a grey cloud, covering his clothes and hair in tracking dust, making HK's job of finding him later a whole lot easier.

Unaware of presence of the other HK nearby, he took chase behind Dante, attempting to catch up to him sooner rather than later, however, he did not activated his lightsaber just yet.

HK-94's attempt at a database search was interrupted by the alleyway din. He could identify the items being used, the fear from the other HK's target by its scampering steps, and the certainty of the other. Yes, that was most certainly that droid's target. Was he meant to stop this? He certainly didn't remember being recruited by some crazy cannibal tribe, though stranger things have happened. He was vaguely aware of the weekend in which a Twi'lek child who stuck a magnet onto his cranium ended up using him to play music and braid her lekkus. His name was Princess Trashsmell, or something to that effect, until he was rebooted once more.

The chase didn't interest him as much as he'd hoped. HK remained at his fake post, yellow glowing eyes trained on the pair until his head swivelled to focus in on the young woman who was making her way in the general area. He couldn't have this-- this woman either interfering with what could presumably be his target OR getting too close to that warehouse to scuff it. It was a nice warehouse, after all. He felt close to it.

You know, thinking back on it, maybe his mission was to burn that warehouse. Oh, well. He activated his visual cloak and became nothing more than a pair of glowing eyes as he interrupted the woman's progress by appearing in front of her. Without his patchwork body being seen he did look quite intimidating, especially with how his mismatched frame resulted in the distance between the HK's eyes making him seem like he might be proportionally larger than average. If only he could lie when he emoted, because that certainly destroyed his intimidating aura.

"[HESITANT INTERJECTION:] Do not trespass. This area may or may not be restricted." His gears audibly clicked as he tried that one again like a blaster with the 'safety' stuck on. "[REDACTION:] ... IS restricted. Area is restricted. Maybe. Do not pass."

As suddenly as he had ran, Dante was covered in a cloud of thick dust. This stopped him for a few seconds, and he doubled over coughing. As the droid caught up to him, he would unconsciously send a fist-sized piece of rubble hurtling at it with the force. Though he had no control over it and had no idea what it was, the force was very strong strong in him. Taking off once more, he founds his way out of the alleys and into a small crowd.

Walking while focusing her mind on what the force was warning her of she smirked as a pair of yellow eyes stood before her and stared into the cold mechanical eyes for a moment and surveyed around her for a moment and then jumped into the air backward with a flip and landed on her feet, thats when she chuckled as she seen a dust white figure running from a droid and looked at the yellow eyes.

Are you certain this way is off limits? she asked as she pulled both of her said and quickly activated them while looking at the dusted man running I think I might need to change that by rewiring you she said as she turned her attention back to @[member="HK-94 Codswallop"] and held her postion, she could be at him within a quick moment and have his throat destroyed with her lightsaber tonfas that she now holds in her grip.

As the man stopped briefly, stunned for a second with the cloud of ash, HK reached out to him with his free hand, closing in, the padding of the gauntlets he was wearing emanated blue sparks, electrogloves designed to stun organics and machines.

Unfortunately, before HK could grab him the man turned briefly and send a piece of a rock flying at him.
The droid's reflexes were good enough, all this time as a blade-dancer and trainer paid off. He spun on his feet swiftly, doing a pirouette-side-dodge he almost avoided the rock projectile. Propelled by force with surprising strength it graced his side, scraping off his paint job and ricocheting somewhere behind him.
HK took a half-step back adjusting to the kinetic momentum channeled by the rock as his cloak fluttered behind him.

He avoided the damage but it cost him precious seconds, he made a note of the man's powers in the Force, they would not surprise him again.

Chasing back down behind the man the droid quickly un-holstered his blaster, briefly making sure it was set to stun, he took a aim at the man. The man was quick, but HK was quick on his feet as well, hopefully he would be able to keep eye-sight of the man.
The droid pulled the trigger, utilizing targeting module once more and sending a single stun bolt flying after him.

The scuffle going on behind them, HK-94 felt right at home defending this unsightly piece of turf. After all, she was aggressive. An aggressive target meant that he was doing his job well, whatever it was. At the mentioning of 'rewiring' and that proud display of her feats he remained still. Distance was good. HK might not be the brightest, but he was a trick shot. It was just about the only thing he couldn't have erased from his system for good.

"[ADMITTANCE:] No. I do not know that this location is restricted. I am not fully aware of my protocol and intended function as of now." His translucent form rippled to give away his overpowered rifle; with a gun like that there was no way he was using regular blaster shots. And with so many buildings and flat surfaces, a riccochet with that overpowered ammunition was almost a guarantee. It was playing with fire, but odds are HK was more than used to missing the more able-bodied targets and as a result has found a way to make his shots nigh unpredictable even to himself to increase his odds. "But I surmise that it may be off-limits to you, with such a reaction. [REQUEST:] Stand back, please."

Dante ran as fast as he could through the dimly-lit streets, fear coursing through his crimson eyes. As he made his sprint down the street, a man tried to get his attention, but was quickly knocked over. He looked to the immediate left of him then, where a woman was killed by a fireball that was aimed at him. The sight of fire brought back yet another vision, this time taking complete control over him. Collapsing to the ground, he let out a struggled, throaty cry of pain as fire filled his mind. The vision of his house on fire haunted him, and he closed his eyes tight. Soon, he was thrashing about the ground like a wild animal.

Reaction to his request with a soft chuckle she activated her tonfas and twirled them in her hands as she tore her attention to the thing in front of her, her mind focused and determined and finding the thing obviously had a weapon of his own she smirked and responded in an arrogant manner Stand back huh? I think I will just do as you say her tone was sarcastic and her eyes glowed a yellow tint as she locked her fingers near to the lighted part of the weapon and leapt at him with stunning speed and accuracy, her target nothing but a wire job and a new pink painting.. with bows and ribbons attacked to its body.

Coming at him she flipped over him and as she landed behind him she went directly for a side kick at its body, her target would end up going down and as soon as she went for the side kick she doubled it with a spin kick to its head.

The bolt that was meant for Dante was an energy bolt, but it was a stun one, if it did hit a passerby they would fall over but they wouldn't be killed, they would only be incapacitated.
Following the man's footsteps, aided by the tracking dust covering Dante, HK would find him thrashing on the ground. He holstered his pistol, reaching out to Dante with his free hand.
The padding of his gauntlet sparked up with electricity once more, HK leaned down in attempt to quickly grab Dante and stun him, knocking him out with electricity.

Just in case, knowing the power of Dante metal claws extended from HK's feet, prepared to dig him into the metal surface and ground him, and he gripped his lightsaber in case he would have to shield himself from any physical or Force-born lightning attacks.

"[RELIEF:] Why thank you, 98.6, I must say that perhaps we've gotten off on the wrong f--" He was cut off just as she aimed a kick at his gut which thankfully shut him up in all of his friendly banter.

HK's protective cloaking fizzled at the impact, to momentarily expose his mismatched body in the areas where the Sith struck as the energy was momentarily absorbed. He twisted the oversized blaster in his grip to twist the foot away from him and was able to swing his body abruptly like a pendulum to not only evade the next blow, but to out-chase it. Of all of the things he was able to keep safe, his head was definitely on the list. The droid leapt back as the shield activated again with time, bathing him in that same translucence that acted as a limited buffer.

He used an available protrusion from his poorly-assembled right arm to pull the bolt back on the blaster, earning a loud 'click' which contradicted his pleasant tone as he was once more at a comfortable distance, his back to the alleyway that he was still guarding. "[INQUIRY:] Why are you so intent on causing me damage, instead of understanding my presumed protocol? Surely you can advance upon a new location, somewhere that you may not be gently assimilated into the gearworks of available factory equipment? I may not recall my assignment, but I can redirect you to some simply endearing high-blood-pressure related activities that won't result in a loss of limb." The droid paused as he readied his blaster, pointing it oddly enough at the ground. His eyes twitched for just a millisecond, giving away what might be some calculation on his part. A planned trajectory. "[SUGGESTION!:] Have you considered midnight jogging? You certainly look like the aggressive-social Type A personality."

Chuckling at that she looked at him and pulled a smoke pellet from her pants pockets and chucked it at the droid, upon hitting the ground smoke billowed up around them both and she quickly lobbed a stun grenade at him seizing the moment to fry his shield, if it worked.. after in detonated she moved it with a rapid spinning of her feet and twirling of her sais she quickly performed a spinning slash at his droid arm that held the weapon.

(OOC: let me know if you want me to make an edit)

(OOC: Keep in mind he was just hallucinating, he "saw" a fireball kill the woman, not a stun bolt knock her out)

Red filled Dante's vision as he was hit, followed by instant blackness. A black bruise was left where he was stunned. Then he began to dream. No, these weren't more hallucinations, merely average dreams. In them, he saw the world through his own eyes, but on a normal basis. The events of the last few minutes played over in his head as they were supposed to. However, he saw this as the fake reality, and his own twisted fantasy as the real reality. He had long since accepted this. To the outside world, he slept soundly, whereas inside he was in terror.

Retracting back the metal claws on his feet HK walked closer to the unconscious Dante, holstering his saber and his pistol he took out stun cuffs instead, two pairs of them.
He glanced around to scared passer-by's and local denizens, frightened at the display, gathering to see what the excitement was about.
"Nothing to see here, please commence dispersing."
Some walked by, some still watched, he tapped the lightsaber at his side, bluffing,
"Jedi business."
At that some gave out an "Ah" of understanding, some cursed the bloody Jedi taking their business next to peaceful homes at night, somebody told his companion to remind him never do a business with Jedi, either way, they moved on to their own things.

HK took the stun-cuffs, pulling Dante's arms back and binding them, he also reached down to his legs and bound them, in case he would try to run for it when he woke up.
The droid scanned over Dante, checking for his injuries, he only noted the black bruise beneath the clothing.
"Could be worse, it will heal."
The droid drawled as he picked up the unconscious body, hoisting him over his shoulder.

He opened his communication, sending out an encrypted transmission to his transport.
Have the shuttle come down to the Undercity, I am pinging you my location, I have the target captured, we will take him to Cardea Medical Center, perhaps they could help him.
Yessir.
He quickly received an answer.

And he went with Dante back his jolly way he came from, which meant, he would most likely come upon Tonya and 94's fight, yay.

The pellet was able to land, and 94's shield gave a loud whine, following a plasmatic blast, as the grenade fried the barrier. 94's off-centered balance was, for the first time, a good thing for him as it propelled him back a good few paces from the explosion, against the warehouse's shuttered-down doors.. He landed, optic lights buzzing and chirping in his head as he took note of the surroundings after the blast. The HK's clawed feet had torn into the rusted metal and from his odd perpendicular position he could see exactly what it was he was defending.
Barrels. He was risking his ruddy, dented carapace over the right for fleshy piglets to be allowed the chance to get as messed-up as he was. He had guarded some stupid things in his prior states of confusion, but he at the very least was aware that he was meant to guard these. A dial-up sound emitted from him as he tried to process a time and place that he'd ever been guarding a brewery.

[No search results found in query. Did you mean: "What am I doing guarding a playground?"]

"EPIPHANY, followed by EXPLICATIVE: Well! This is wrong. This is very wrong, indeed. Well-- good-diddly-di-darnerfly!" That was as close to a swear as the droid could utter-- his vocabulator had yet to test the finest wines of harsh slang and sailor-speak. Speaking of wine-- he needed to get out of here. HK mused to himself, though was very noisy about it. He sounded like he'd completely forgotten that there was a fight going on as he stepped down from standing on the door to crunch one of the less-heavy droids underfoot in his thoughts. He walked clean-past the angry Sith to go down the alleyway at a calm pace. Had he REALLY forgotten they were fighting? It was such a sudden shift, there was no way a droid could be playing games like that. "This is simply not IN my programming. And. So. This warehouse is not under my protection." He turned to look at it, as if reconsidering, then aimed with startling precision his rifle to blast right in the tiny hole he'd caused, resulting in an explosion and a definite fire glowing from the inside. "OPINION: Good riddance."
