Description:

The Pelta-class Refit is a highly modular frigate design once used by the Galactic Republic during the ancient Clone Wars and built by the Kuat Drive Yards of yore. In ancient times it came in only variations. Medical and Cargo. However, when an escort design became available for refit construction it was easily applied and constructed using this very adaptable starship schematic. The Pelta-class lending itself to easy rewiring, quick energy distribution, well spaced compartments, and it's general appliance layout, due to it's already highly modular nature and design. Making for quick work at applying the wide array of guns and equipment that an escort vessel would invariably need to prosper.

The Pelta-class Refit also features a large crew, multiple escape pods, a vast cargo capacity, an entire squadron of Astromech assistants, and an easy-to-access vehicle hanger. All the while also featuring state-of-the-art ergonomics and leather cabin upholstery. The on-board security systems also include a wireless monitoring system, password-protected door panels, an electronic warfare software suite, and firewall enabled computer access. All of which are considered mandatory innovations for our vast and ever expanding technological future. As a sidenote, the physical landing gear of older models has also been removed in favor of a more modern repulsar lift array.

The primary combat role of this vessel is anti-starfighter defense and it's equipment, armor, shield strength, and weapon diversity reflect this specialization in all aspects of it's design. When compared to a standard Nebulon-B Escort Frigate, the larger turbolaser batteries are swapped out for point defense cannons in effort to ward against incoming starfighter missile projectiles.

Not a lot of wrong here. Pretty little ship.

Only thing that needs to be worked on is the guncount under the armament. If you take a look at the template of the frigate, specifically the cookie cutter template just underneath the standard template, you will see the escort frigate.

The issue is that you have a higher armament rating, but less capital guns than this example escort frigate.

You could either bump down the armament rating or bump up the gun count to better match the rating. Your choice, let me know what you decide to go with.

Cool. :)

In that case. Let's see. Assuming I add 2 more turbolasers to the design? To match an armament rating of 8, how many more laser cannons can I add as well?

Not, to be blunt. But that's insane.

After all, armament numbers reflect comparisons between similar classes. The Nebulon B has only 20 capital guns and the Lancer and Ubrikkian classes have zero. Now. I would say your estimations here are absolutely bat-sht-crazy however, I took another at the template and seem to have found our mistake. The template ships have bad numbers. As in, really bad numbers. As in, ...holy-mother-of-Zeus-what-flip-was-she-thinking! ...bad numbers. 100 turbolasers for a Kossak class!?!? It has 12. ...12!

For the love of the eternal Greek Pantheon, Tai. What is going on here??? :(
