Description:

The "Enlightenment" chip will be contracted out to be created for the New Order as a revolutionary new way to control and tame the populace as well as the conventional military forces of the New Order. The is implanted via droid operated surgery and will be placed in the limbic system of the brain which it will then attaches to with a system of artificial nerve endings and chemical extraction and injection ports. Once in the brain the chip slowly integrates itself to read visual and emotional data from the patient which is then interpreted through a small scale version of a droid brain that resides in the chip. This "artificial intelligence" interprets materials read, viewed and thought about by the patient and uses a mix of electrical signals and chemical release to associate strong feelings with certain subjects.

Whenever the subjects brain is introduced to thoughts or materials about the New Order, the chip sends electrical signal to the brain. One set of the signals are sent through nerve endings and into the cortex to be interpreted as words in the subconscious such as "freedom", "Peace", "Friends", "Hope", "Dominate" as well as simple phrases such as "Be loyal", "Be Proud" etc. The other set of signals beam into the limbic system and tell the brain to release chemicals associated with positive feelings such as pride, love, loyalty and the like. However, when faced with material that is viewed by the New Order as bad the chip sends negative signals to the brain to invoke negative emotional responses. Words such as "Enemy", "Hate", "Oppression", "Murderer" etc are sent into the subconscious while chemicals associated with hate, anger, fear and rage are released.

On scheduled dates the New Order has a mandatory viewing of a speech made by a Circle of Darkness representative who uses trigger words and phrases to invoke emotional response. Each chip then sends the data received to an analysis computer where potential failings in a subject's chip are marked so that the Department of State Security can later send operatives to investigate the subject.

Through this system the chip ensures that the NPC population of the conventional armed forces and the civilian populations are highly resistant to enemy propaganda and are loyal to the New Order through emotional manipulation. While the chips can have failings and some may grow subconscious immunity to the tampering, this system makes the risk factors of running an Empire greatly lower than usual.

The dev thread is going to be an expansive story that goes through some talks with a cloner before we go major and then talking to NPC company owners and when we do go major I will wrap the whole story up with a dev thread that has us combating some resistance on our starting planets and such.

What I'm going to do is ask you to change the wording to future tense (as in, the people of the New Order do not currently have these installed), and the production to Minor. Once you've made those changes, I'll approve this. Once you're done your storyline, submit a modification request to put it back to mass-production and present tense, to represent your operation being complete.
