She looked at her with a smile on her face and her skin glowed brighter before she was speaking. "Yes that answers everything that I needed master thank you." She said it while turning on her toes. Never really moving until the jedi padawan clasped her hands in front of herself to go outside and stop glowing as brightly.. She really should say that she was feeling the glow because of all the lightside but really she was just excited to really start her time and learn as best she could. THe chrono she had would easily handle getting her here when she set it to alert her for friday and the times needed to come and meet her master for training.

Karen watched her go and pursed her lips in mild confusion. Reminding herself once again that she had no idea how to relate to a Ghostling.

"Well. This is going to be interesting."

Holo Arena
Sub Level 3, Denon Academy of Science
Friday

The weekend was almost here and Karen was only too happy to see it come. It meant a break from her usual routine and a chance to travel or celebrate with friends. Which was perfect because this fine morning it would be the later one too. Karen had already gathered together a few friends down in the Holo Arena for another day of Jedi adventures.

"Good morning everyone!" Karen called as she walked in the giant white vault door. Shaking her tiny orange juice bottle as she waltzed.

"Morning."
"Morning."
"Yo."

Three new faces stood inside the beautiful simulation. Three new people Dajara had yet to meet. The holographic chamber was already buzzing. Amber had already chosen the program for this morning's meeting. Tython 835. A picturesque sunrise vista set atop the Jedi Temple and overlooking the most beautiful jungle in the galaxy. An excellent holographic choice for the day.

The first new face Boshtet had yet to meet was Amber. A white-haired woman in a white ceremonial robe. She was as picturesque and wonderfully slyvan as their ageless jungle setting. An artificial intelligence of great beauty, wisdom, charisma, and the official hostess of all DAS activities on-world. A timeless pale avatar who was standing in the middle of the Temple's rooftop and smiling gently to the wind.

The second face was Kyle Start. A handsome, dark-haired human male with a perky smile, silly round glasses, and youthful bounce to his morning pep. He wore the eggshell outfit of a DAS scientist and held a small datapad close to his morning coffee. A GIANT mug of coffee at that, too. Wow.

The third face was Martin Styles. A strong human male with long blond hair, broad shoulders, and soldier's rugged expression. He wore a tight black flight suit, a giant blaster pistol on his hip, and sat all by himself. Rubbing his knuckles with impatience and frowning at the slight chill in the simulation's air.

Karen stopped in the middle of the Temple's roof and nodded to everyone in turn. Noting that [member="Dajara Boshtet"] had yet to arrive.

"Well. Everybody ready for a new student?"

Amber smiled a nod while Martin shrugged. Kyle took a sip from his mug and waved his excitement away with a grin,

"Yes indeedy! A real Ghostling! Wow. Talk about the chance of a century. I can't wait to study her. ...Erm!? I mean... I'm glad she's here. To be a Jedi. Yes. Of course."

Karen laughed,

"She'll be here shortly Doctor Smart and you'll have every chance to meet her. And let's keep the studying to a minimum, yes? She's our guest. Not a test subject. Remember?"

Kyle chuckled and waved his datapad around,

"Yes. Yes. Of course. I'm just a bit excited. That's all. A new case file to open. A new species here in the Academy. It really is something, eh?"

Martin scoffed and stood up. Shaking his head at Kyle and waving him off,

"Ha. Let's just see if this little Ghost is ready to roll some iron. Because I don't care what it's species is? If it can get buff? Bam. I'll pump it up! Rawr!"

Karen smirked at Martin's sour gestures.

"Thank you Master Styles. I'm glad you are taking to your personal trainer routine so quickly. It is why I asked you here. ...Well. I mean. It's not everyday that you get to become the personal fitness coach for a more ethereal being eh?"

"Ha!" Martin finally smiled, "Well. Who ya gonna call!? ...Am I right, or am I right. Hahaha!"

Poor Amber just shook her head and nodded to the great white vault door. Calling everyone to attention,

"Ladies and gentlemen. Our Jedi Padawan has arrived."

Turning slowly against the backdrop of beautiful Tython. Everybody turned towards the giant entryway door.

"Ah. Speak of the devil. Good morning, Padawan Boshtet." Karen announced, "And welcome to Tython. Hehe."

She had spen t the time between then and friday well looking for work and finding something here or there to do. Good prospects compared to soime and that her ship could grow food that might be considered exotic for ten to sell or buy. She moved quickly evading the crowds when she finally arrived and went where she was directed. She stopped int he room hearing her master and stood there with her skin glowing as she focused and left it a dull glow with hernhands clasped in front of herse.f "Master." She was looking at a few of the things they had here, she could see the people and the holographic suite for training purposes.

Karen laughed, "Please. Just call me Karen. We're not all that traditional around here anyway."

Martin smirked, "And thank the Gods for that. Heh. ...Hey there kid. I'm..."

Karen interrupted the soldier, "Padawan Boshtet. Allow me to introduce you to some of the people you'll be working with. This. Is Warmaster Martin Styles. He'll be in charge of your physical training and workout routines."

Martin rolled his eyes, "Yeah yeah. She means I'm the guy who gets to figure out how to get you ready for a Sith battle party. Which, the answer is push-ups. Lots and lots, of push-ups. Heh."

Blue smiled and waved her hand, "Indeed. Now. Over here we have Doctor Kyle Start."

"Hello!" The Doctor waved brightly. Almost skipping with enthusiasm.

"Yes. Indeed." Karen smiled, "Doctor Start will be our specialist in alien culture and xeno-sciences. Anything he can do to make your stay with us a more pleasant one? As a Ghostling, I mean. So, please feel free to talk with him about it."

Kyle laughed, "Yeah. We couldn't find a single scientist or a single health specialist who knew anything about your people. Not on the entire planet. Haha. So... I guess, I'm going to become Denon's first specialist on the Ghostling species. Ha. Which... I guess just means? That I'll being help you get around and trying to see that you're comfortable here. In a day-to-day sense. I suppose."

Karen shrugged. She didn't mind hiring Kyle. It meant that he and Martin could worry about Dajara's physical health while she focused on the more spiritual side of Force training. She delegated.

"Thank you Kyle. Now, let's see. Ah. And over here is Amber. Our facilities artificial intelligence."

"Good morning Dajara." smiled the pale lady. "Let me know if there is anything I can do while you are here."

Karen nodded, "Amber is linked to this building's interior. Anytime you're here on campus? Feel free to look her up. Especially here in the holographic arena. She practically runs the place. Hehe."

Blue turned and looked around the cool jungle morning. Watching the sun slowly rising against the glowing yellow horizon.

"Okay then. Introductions are out of the way. Let's move on to today's schedule." Karen pulled out her phone and started browsing the listings, "Let's see. First I'll let Martin load in the gym program and give you a tour of your new workout set. Then we'll move on to Meditation Training with me. Then, I'll have Kyle walk you back to your ship and take a few notes on your ship and culinary lifestyle. And... That should be all for today."

She slapped her phone closed.

"Okay. Let's get started people. Martin?"

"You got it Blue." The soldier smiled and clapped his hands together, "Okay Padawan. Time to see what you're made of. Amber!"

The pale lady nodded and spoke quietly, "Loading gym set: Martin Type 01 now. Gravity set to nominal."

Instantly a whole gymnasium work of equipment was placed on the outcroppings of Tython's Jedi Temple simulation. Martin folded his arms over his chest and smiled.

"Nice! Alright then. Let's start with the basics. Change into your workout gear back in the Locker Room and I'll have you start doing laps around the rooftop here. I'll be keeping time and seeing how your stamina holds up in normal gravity. Chop chop! Let's go ladies! Let's go!"

Martin hurried [member="Dajara Boshtet"] along. Clearly he was going to be a tough physical trainer. Oh my!

[member="Karen Roberts"]

She was looking at all of them, the introductions were something that she might be able to see. With the padawan learning from the jedi master it would be one thing but there were a whole lot of others as well. She looked at the physical trainer though as he was leading her around. To get fit and ready she stood there being careful about getting touched. Something few others didn't do as she spoke. "Ah something first. Our gravity is very light on datarr. Most of the worlds are heavy and our bones can break." She said it but showed where the skin was bruised in some places on her arms. From getting bumped into, she had her several bacta patches on her shoudlers and body to work on recovering, to work on healing. She was ready to begin though while stretching out and the tightness in her arms were there. She had the inner robes which were lighter and she could work out with them and the man. "I am ready to begin though,"

Martin shrugged and looked at Karen. Blue just mirrored his body language and waved him forward. [member="Dajara Boshtet"] had spent years in normal gravity. Denon had normal gravity and so did most traveling ships and Jedi Temples. If she was going to start complaining about it now? Yeah. That wasn't going to fly.

Martin turned back to Boshtet, "I don't really care about what your home planet is like. You wanna go home? Go home. ...But if you want to get bigger, faster, and stronger? Enough to stand up as a Jedi Knight? Then yeah. We'll start with normal gravity and we'll work in normal gravity. So get used to it."

Kyle noticed the bacta patches and quickly started taking notes on his datapad. If Ghostling healed via bacta? Then maybe they really were very very similar to humans. They looked like humans. They talked like humans. They bruised and healed like humans. They could even reproduce like humans. Hmm. The scientist nodded at this new discovery. Maybe Dajara wasn't as different as Karen thought she was. Maybe Dajara was just like them after all.

Amber remained exactly where she was. Unmoving. Unflinching. Just like the good computer program she was. Karen took a seat in a wicker chair nearer the corners of the Tython Temple's rooftop. Relaxing and watching as Martin worked.

Martin again folded his arms. Defiant that he still wasn't going to take it easy on Boshtet.

"Fine then. We'll start with running a few laps. Tut tut. Get to it now. Let's see your stamina. Laps around the rooftop. You may begin when ready."

[member="Karen Roberts"]

She looked at him and glowed a little brighter and had the faintest tinge of color appearing beyond the white gold look. THe padawan listened and was preparing as she tried to get herself in the lightest amount of gear possible. Ghostlings were notorious for well being crushed under most gravity other then their own and there was a reason why children stayed on the world... Heavier gravity could keep them from being able to breathe. She started moving to run laps and the exertion could come to her. She looked at the course she was going to be running laps as she took a breath and started going. Letting her body move where she could run and getting half a lap before her lungs and sides started to hurt. She was breathing shallow and there was pain in her feet. THe way most stood and walked or ran put pressure on their feet and she felt a nerve sharpened pain in her foot telling her something had snapped. Tears straining in her eyes when she finally managed to get a lap feeling the warmth of it on her face before gulping in huge breathes of air.

Martin turned slowly to look back at Karen. The expression on his face was not pretty. He was clearly very angry. Karen sighed and stood up from her chair. Shouting out to [member="Dajara Boshtet"] ,

"Thank you Dajara! That's enough. We're done for today. Please see yourself to the elevator and up to the medical bay. Kyle and Amber will help you."

"Oh!?" Kyle gasped and quickly ran over to Dajara's side. Eager to help her in anyway he could. "...Are you okay? Can I help you get to the elevator?"

Karen walked over to Martin. The Warmaster was clearly still very angry. So she sighed again and nodded,

"Half a lap. Broken toe too, probably."

"This, isn't going to work Roberts. I can make soldiers out of boys, sure. I can make Knights out of slaves, yeah. But this? Nah. She's as fragile as my grandmother."

"Maybe a power suit then?" Karen shrugged.

"Nah. One bad actuator and it would rip her arms off before you could re-calibrate it. And what if it fell on her."

"Mm. How about a lighter gravity routine?"

"Sith Lords don't care about lighter gravity, Blue. One tiny choke attack and she'd be seeing stars. Nah. She's fully grown at her age and useless to me. I can't work with this. Lifting weights ain't gonna fix her problem either."

"Okay. Fine. Then what then? We get her a dog and teach it to fight for her?"

Martin shrugged, "She's no fighter, Blue. Just send her home."

Karen sighed again. "I can't. Not just yet."

The Warmaster looked over to Dajara and nodded. He knew what having hard students was like. Came with the job. Part of life, I suppose. So Martin shook his head and paused again.

"Fine. Next time we'll set the gravity to her home planet. Probably start with the Form One velocities. Give her a weekly routine. It's... As basic as it gets. But she could do it. On her ship probably."

Karen nodded. "Thanks Martin. Really."

"Yeah." He scoffed and looked back at the injured Boshtet.

This was not gonna be fun.

[member="Karen Roberts"]

She was looking up when she heard her master and could practically feel the anger of the man. Wanting to speak up while she was being helped to the lift and looking at the medical man. "Thank you." She bowed to her master and was going in there to get her foot treated. The swelling would be there but she was used to it, she was prepared for what would likely be days of healing and making sure she didn't break anything else. The areas of her skin where the man touched to help her showing the faintest bruises with a nod of her head. "I am used to it, the surprise is just when something breaks... or someone touches harder." She looked at her shoulders to show him but stayed in the lift while it was going. "I don't think they were hapy to see that but I tried as best."

Kyle smiled at Dajara and nodded, "Martin and Roberts are soldiers. For all their legendary deeds? It's funny. But I doubt they know much else."

He shrugged and looked sorry for the girl. So many bruises. Yet she was still so pretty. He couldn't help but wonder if all the girls of her species were so beautiful. All he wanted to do was hold her close and tell her that everything was gonna be okay.

Ahem.

Kyle blushed and quickly looked away. It was so unprofessional of him to let his mind wander like that. Just because he hadn't had a date in four months didn't mean he should be fantasizing now. Boshtet was a new species to the Denonites. And, she was Karen's student. He needed to keep his cool if this job was gonna take him anywhere.

"Umm. So... The medical bay is just this way. Just down the hall."

He helped her make it to the bay and eased her down onto a bed. Nodding to the nurse as she approached. Then turning back to Dajara.

"I'll... Stay. If it's alright. Miss Boshtet. I uh... Just to make sure you don't need anymore help? And stuff."

Kyle scratched the back of his head and blushed again. It was part of his job to get to know her, right? Yeah. Sure. That was all. He should be close to her. For his job. For science! ...Um. Probably?

[member="Karen Roberts"]

She looked at him and glowed a little brighter from it seeing him act strangely.. confused for a moment but not saying anything as she alked and spoke. "Yes but that is helpful, soldiers protect the weak or at least are supposed to. We have learned that in classes and with everything here I am certain I could learn a lot more." She said it laying down and getting her boot off to see her foot. She was used to her bones breaking like that or having to breath heavier gulps of air until her lungs almost burned in her chest. "I am sure if I can get just a litle stronger they'll be at least not as angry. Master Roberts is highly regarded by the jedi on the Library."

Kyle nodded and let the nurse assist Dajara. Karen arrived after a few minutes to wish Boshtet a speedy recovery and that they would begin training again once she had healed. Until then, Martin would be working on a new way to get the Holoarena set up to mimic her home planet's environment more closely. The nurse gave a nod and Kyle and Karen took their leave. Giving Dajara the space she needed to facilitate a quick recovery.

[member="Karen Roberts"]

Giving a nod to her master as she looked at the scans and heard the beeps. She could recover by now she was used to it and knew the routine... it wasn't fun but there was always decent hospital jello... something simple you could eat even without noticing it among other things. She looked at the doctor though while the padawan rested and got the bacta patches she remained mostly in bed. Fragile as she was she used the time to try and strengthen her muscles while lifting smaller weights and studying the materials for two to three days. THen she was getting out adter a funal round of bacts immersion for her feet and small injections. Dajara was walking fine with a small look at her pointed fet. "Well hopefully it will get better, can't make much more a fool of myself." She said it to herself though looking to go and join Karen.

When the next week of training lessons rolled around. Karen was found back down in the Holoarena. Garbed in her Monica Coat, she stood with her arms folded, talking with Martin. The environment had changed today. No longer where they located in the sunny afternoon's of Tython's Jedi Temple. Rather, Amber had loaded up a simulation of the Dantooine coast. Long waves of golden grasslands that gave way to a quiet ocean vista. All under an endless blue sky.

Karen turned and waved Dajara over. Neither Amber nor Kyle seemed to be in attendance today. Ah. And upon entering the arena one might also notice that the artificial gravity was much lighter too.

"Welcome back Padawan. How's the foot?"

[member="Karen Roberts"]

She had spent the time working on getting her foot healed and everything else. The bacta patches and suit that she was able to wear to help with it as she entered the area looking at her master with a nod of her head. "It is feeling better master. By now I have gotten used to breaking bones and ruises it is becoming easier to manage the pain." She said it with a weak smile trying to seem happy that her body betrayed her most times but entering the area she could feel it. The weight on her shoulders and chest lessening but still there. Few people knew what to do on Datar when they came the gravity was just there and if you were strong enough to jump it seemed like you might be able to jump into orbit. Dajara walked over towards her master and bounced a little as she walked stepping around and breathing. "THank you for this, I know it isn't great but everything feels so much better."

Martin seemed to nod at Dajara's easy step. Karen gave a nod in reply and excused the large man from the room. Then she continued,

"Well. I'm glad to see you moving about at least."

Karen turned to the sea and breathed quietly at the lush vista. Then she turned her chin and nodded again.

"Today, I'd like you to show me what you can do with your Force potential. Magnitude, breadth, areas of experience; that sort of thing. Let's begin with meditation."

Karen moved to a large rock and took a seat on top. Motioning for Boshtet to do likewise. In the lower gravity, even just sitting down felt feathery and light. She crossed her legs and sat at peace. Closing her eyes and opening herself up to the world around here. Even the sea breeze felt different here.

"Go ahead. And when you've centered yourself? Describe to me what you feel. Then reach out and magnify your power onto the environment around you. Let's see just how much potential you can muster today, hm."

[member="Karen Roberts"]

She was looking at her master and being able to move here being able to breathe while she went over to the rocks and let out a breath. Stretching herself climbing atop the rock and sitting down as she got comfortable. "Yes master." She looked at some parts of it and her meditations would be an important thing to her now as she glowed softly. Crossing her legs, her hands going to the sides and she spoke. 'It isn't about lifting rocks.' Looking at all of the parts here, closing her eyes and she was reaching outwards, to the force, to the rocks and her master. Seeing it, the area in between, the space between what held it all together. "I see... I see it all. THe world with all of its people. Their minds, their hearts beating like a drumming in my ears."
