STRENGTHS
  • Scout Armor: Eschewing bulky combat plating for lighter yet durable fabrics, Partisan equipment prioritizes mobility and stealth. A flex-armor blast vest and plastoid helmet fend off some life threatening damage. Its main value however is how well it blends with all manner of environment.
  • Double Jump: Most Partisan troops receive a pair of standard issue rocket boots along with their kit for navigating vertical obstacles. These aren't meant for sustained flight but instead to rappel over walls or slow a descent.
WEAKNESSES
  • Limited Protection: A blast vest and helmet aren't warplate. Partisan troopers are particularly vulnerable in the extremities where their equipment offers very little protection at all.
  • Hard Vacuum: Meant for in atmosphere operations the basic kits have no thinsuit or EVA seal. Life support failure or exposure to space is fatal.
DESCRIPTION

While not an official part of the SoroSuub Corporation product line, the company actively supports ongoing efforts to scavenge old Galactic Alliance surplus material and use it to outfit militia forces and local planetary guards in dire need of basic equipment. Based on the old regime's scout armor, Partisan field kits are stripped down to their most essential components. Low tech, utilitarian, and highly effective for guerilla engagements.

The Partisan resistance movement is recognized by their salvaged gear, thus bestowing the field kit with its colloquial name. Personal modifications both practical and otherwise are not uncommon. Militia fighters in particular have been known to stencil on starbirds of various design as well as anti-Imperial phrases. Field kits come in a variety of weather patterns including standards olive green and matte black.
