During his time with the Nightbrothers and Nightsisters, Curtis was trained with many melee weapons, however he took to, and was best with, the swordstaff. As he grew older, he began learning how to construct one, and through trading and stealing, eventually gathered the materials he needed to craft a weapon to call his own. Using Songsteel for the blade and Veshok wood for the staff, Curtis built a weapon he was truly proud of. To fully mark it as his, he placed a Tandgor gem at the base of the staff, the only item he had been given by his original parents.
The weapon itself was well built, and quite deadly in the right hands. The reach of the weapon, alongside its powerful blade, allows the user to keep predator or prey at bay. However, closing the distance significantly makes the use of the weapon highly difficult.
