OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION

PRODUCTION INFORMATION
  • Manufacturer: Valdus Bral
  • Affiliation: Valdus Bral, Closed Market
  • Model: N/A
  • Modularity: Somewhat - the Palisade can be configured to work with other Palisade emitters in order to create one continuous wall.

  • Production: Minor
  • Material: Duraplast and deflector shield components
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • The Palisade emits a plane of energy (deflector shield) that acts as both Ray Shield & Particle Shield. The user cannot shoot through the barrier with either physical or energy based weaponry; the same is true for those on the 'business' end of the emitter.
  • If the Palisade emitter is setup within 2 meters of another, the users can configure the Palisade to combine their energy fields, acting as extenders for each-other.
Strengths:
  • Extremely resilient to both physical and energy based weaponry
  • Extendable width of the shield to cover an entire unit if they are stationary
  • Emitter is highly resistant to Ion & EMP based weaponry
Weaknesses:
  • User cannot shoot through or put objects through the emitted wall
  • Emitter is not very durable to physical attacks or blaster shots
DESCRIPTION

The Palisade Shield Emitter was designed by Valdus Bral to provide his comrades with durable cover where there may be none. The Palisade is almost impenetrable by infantry held weaponry and but is challenged with vehicle based heavy weapons, artillery, or above. While the shield is nigh impregnable in the practical senses of the word, the emitter itself is contained within a shell of duraplast to prevent EMP and Ion area-of-effect destabilization; the emitter will not stand up to any effort to destroy the unit with either blaster or physical weapons.
