Padawans Unleashed! (SJO)

[Kat Decoria]

Today was a nervous day for Kat, she had invited other Padawans to join her in doing some melee combat training. It wasn't anything complex or skilful, just a few things that she knew as part of her Echani background. It was also a chance for her to meet fellow Padawans and get to them better, Kat hadn't been a part of the Jedi Order for long and was curious to meet more Jedi and understand what the how Jedi thing was about. She had been a part of the Antarian Rangers for awhile but she hardly interacted with the Jedi bar fixing their damaged ships. Not every Jedi could repair the damage they made so that meant that Kat and her posse had to pick up the slack. She was curious to see what Jedi were like outside of the battleground.

Wandering around the Temple, she was wearing her usual attire, grey tank top, baggy camo trousers and a baseball cap that her ponytail stuck through. She scratched the back of her neck as she looked at all the stiff looking Jedi, she seemed to be one of a few people who weren't always clean, tidy and smartly dressed. Moving around the temple was easy as she thought on her training history. Over the many years, Kat learned how adjust her family's style of fighting to accommodate her robotic legs.

Looking around the sandy grounds that were used for training, Kat breathed deeply as she looked over her Force pike, she hadn't gained a Lightsaber yet but then her training was still super early so she wasn't too disappointed.

Melee combat was always something Tana kept on close mind, his mother was very forceful on that type of fighting, and the new girl [member="Kat Decoria"] was quite the interesting person. Apparently they had been in the rangers or something along the lines and thus was actually in the Silver Jedi order for a while, but had yet to really delve into the force and how the Jedi Order worked.

Walking down the hallway the young Jin sported his more or less new outfit, a sort of pajama like design that covered his full body with long blue pants and shirt. It was easy to move around in a stylish for all intents an purposes, and good for melee combat sparing, which he assumed would be hand to hand and weapons stuff considering this Kat person was an Echani. Would be interesting to fight one, his mother often talked about how they communicated using fists and how their race could predict movements just by looking at an opponent.

Soon his shoe soles crunched against the sandy grounds that where used to train, a somewhat soft texture to lessen the blows once put on the floor, bust still giving the loser a solid kick to know what it feels like. In the middle of the ground stood said woman, holding a force pike in hand, "did not expect to be the first one here, but I ain't complaining"

The prospect of melee combat appealed to Gi as she moved. going in to join the others... the Herald one of the few stood taller then most of the jedi masters and was built like a tank. With the super soldier program of the silver jedi she had the muscle mass and one density to survive just about anything. SHe had the implants to beef her up into this while she stood around in the baptiste armored guard suit. Thick, heavier then others might suspect but well she had had equipment. A combat blade designed for smashing her secondary blade a combat knife with the AI talking in her head where she looked around. "Is this the combat course?" She said it and corssed her arms over her chest in the armor. Voice deep and raspy from the implants and surgery.

So there were only two people that turned up at first for her training. However, Kat didn't mind, smaller class meant that she could cope with the teaching aspect that she had to do. They were two very different people, while they were both taller than Kat, the female was significantly taller than the boy. Kat was slightly taken aback by the height of the female. She was more muscular than the boy, who was leaner in frame, however, these were things that Kat could handle with. Leaning on her pike, she inspected her learners, curious to see what they knew about melee combat already.

"So... Urm. I'm Kat, I'm hosting this training session today. I was thinking first maybe we do some hand to hand combat first. If you both try to attack me, I can get a look at what you guys know already in terms of fighting. From there we can move onto melee weapons." Kat was nervous about teaching this but she tried to show some confidence in her voice. Placing her Force Pike delicately to one side, Kat took a defensive combat stance. She closed her eyes and thought upon what her parents taught her when she was younger.

She could remember the lessons as if they were yesterday, she often be bloodied and bruised. Unlike her sister, Kat was not one to give up easily and so often would fight and fight till she was in significant pain and had to stop. Her father always commented on how he found her stubbornness admirable but also pointed out that she was just like him at that age. It made her smile, thinking on those days, they were her favourite memories. Along with him teaching her mechanic skills.

Gi was looking at the being who spoke to them. The smaller woman was teaching the class and wanted hand to hand combat as she could fela tremor along her spin and nerves themselves. Everythign was on fire but she didn't activate the armor system. It was the true extension of her capabilities before crossing her arms and she spoke. Her voice coming out low and rolling with bass. "You are certain?" She asked the question prepared for it but she clenched her fistsfor a moment as the sound of the knuckles cracking and popping. her bones echoed for a moment while the implants in her eyes were watching Kat, her muscles showing a tightness with the veins more like steel and ber perceptions of the area slowed down. SPeeding up her reflexes when she prepared to go into that mode and feeling pumping adrenaline and force power into her body. Increasing her ability to see attacks and dodge with heightened movement speed and having a fist that could dent blastdoors.

If he thought [member="Kat Decoria"] was well built well than he had another thing coming, the newer Kedi, [member="Gi Gregain"] was quite the giant, over 2 meters tall, making even his mother look short, and she was quite the juggernaut. Was that why Kat seemed to shaky? the other woman being quite the giant among both of them and probable strong enough to crush their heads bare handed? Maybe Kat was a ranger, she should be more comfortable with leading and training right?

"Well I look forward to a small spar, but you want to go 2 on 1 or have individual round? if the latter I'll let you two duke it out first before getting involved". Though Kat was an Echani Tana knew that Gi had speed enhancements and could probably swing faster then Echani martial arts could predict. Then again Tana was not certain how Echani martial arts worked, perhaps he'd best ask mother at some point, she had a decent understanding of how that art form worked.

If Kat wasn't intimidated by the large woman at first, she definitely felt so after the woman came across with high levels of strength. It seemed that the giant woman was made from lots of tech, enhanced in ways Kat could not predict right now. Kat could see the tightening of the woman's fists. When Tanaski asked whether she wanted one on one or them both to fight her, she paused and thought about it. In a normal pairing, Kat felt confident in her training that she could handle both of them, usually predicting that Gi would be slower but hard hitting compared to Tanaski. However, with the clear enhancements that Gi had, she wasn't sure if the woman had increased speed beyond what would be physically possible for a person that build.

"One on one. I agree, I will fight you first." Kat pointed at Gi, her eyes were determined as her mind focused on the fight. "No super soldier powers, this is a friendly fight." Kat wasn't sure if the woman had some sort of way to build armour that would end up breaking her wrist. Kat would rather her wrists remain unbroken during this training session. Breathing out slowly, she wanted for Gi to approach her with an attack first.

Gi was looking at her and there was a curious look to it. More because she couldn't exactly remove the implants and enhancements. Her bones were as hard as steel, her lungs able to sustain her without the force for several hours, her heart thick and muscled to withstand impact as well as pump the blood through her body that when injured she could clot faster. Her muscles had micro cords of steel encasing them before she thought about the duel. it was practice but it would be a dishonor to the other padawan to not take hrr serious. Gi moved as in her mind an idea of how the fight could go with herself moving at half speed and she crouched low. Sweeping her large leg on the ground as her reflexes even holding back some still let her move faster for her size. Gi was watching and tracking the girl as she aimed a strike towards her knees if she jumped to try and strike the knee. Make it hurt and give her a charliehorse type limp (as she wouldn't see her without pants for cybernetics)

Tana sat down to the side as [member="Gi Gregain"] and [member="Kat Decoria"] started to square off against one another, though a little miffed about going second it did give him the chase to see how the two fought. It would prove most valuable for when he faced off against the two fighters, though out of the two his confuse was more on Gi, the massive armored and cybernetic woman being the biggest threat out of the two. Well so far anyways, not telling how well Kat would do, for all Tana knew the Echani may very well kick their ass, only time would tell. Kneeling down in Seiza style the young Jin awaited for the match to begin, being in a little awe of how fast GI moved why had she come here? Such a strong a large person probably would be better suited for teaching the lesson, not participating in it.

Kat watched as the large woman moved towards her with surprising speed. The attack to Kat's knee made her smirk, normally this attack would cripple an average person but Kat was a cyborg herself. Instead of avoiding the attack like a normal person would, she drove her robotic knee into the attack with her full might. From there, she backflipped away and then lunged forward, preparing to tackle the larger woman to the ground. On the ground they would have to fight rough and messier than if she kept it on their feet.

She could sense Tanaski's disappointment in not being able to join the fight. She could appreciate that, often she was forbidden from joining the fight with her brothers and sister, they often had intense long fights that her legs could not cope with at the time. Grabbling the larger woman, she sunk a kneww into her gut. Kat was curious to see how this cyborg coped with this.

She felt the punch in her arm, the bone augmentation keeping them from shattering and the larger woman moved. Feeling herself being tackled as Kat was going to her gut with her attack. Gi was hardened and her muscles were meant to be like nearly steel cords. She felt the impact moving to wrap her larger arms around Kat and bear hug her into position. Going for a triangle like hold to get her arm backwards at a painful angle with her head under the arm and one leg hooking at her cybernetic leg. She had felt the metal and been surprised but she had punched mandalorians for the testing phase in their beskar armor. That metal was nothing before she was using her size and weight to try for a pin to keep the smaller echani from squirming out of the grapple if she could.

The speed at which both members moved as was impressive, though [member="Kat Decoria"] managing to tackle [member="Gi Gregain"] was also something to wow at, he was certain the monster tall woman would just stand their and not move, but Kat had some omph to the attack. Still it did not seem like Gi was affected that much by it, her limbs and cybernetics probably made to take huge loads with ease. At least it was an interesting fight so far, giving a good deal of information on how the two combatants fought.

Kat growled as she was forced into a bear hug and chokehold. It was a tight hold but Kat felt sure she was able to escape, she just need to refine her fighting style. This had shown her that Gi used her brutal strength and power over more finer combat. Kat shot a fist into the armpit of the large woman, hitting a pressure point that would deaden her arm and weaken the hold. From there, gripping her middle finger, Kat placed Gi in a finger lock.

There she could slide out of the hold and slammed a fist at the throat of the larger woman. While this move seemed aggressive over the refined combat Kat told herself she needed, Kat was using her fighting momentum to strike faster and give Gi no chance to retaliate. Kicking into Gi full forced in the chest, Kat flipped back and landed gracefully on her feet further away from Gi. Taking the tip to have a deep breath.
