"Padawan I'll make an Althaiophobic out of you."

[member="Vinnon Varuut"]

Wu fell asleep in her bed, the slow breathing letting her drift off and find herself in the force. Just like meditations she had learned from the holocrons that her master had her observe and learn to use. She breathed in and then out while feeling with the force itself Kurenai, Akari and Sukai... they were all safe and protected as much as she could try to do. Transferring whatever energy she might be able to so that her friends would be happy. THen she was awake with the sound of the chrono chirping that it was time to wake up. A few minutes from dropping out of hyperspace as she stood there and felt the warmth of the ship itself. Agena ingrained within the ship. The environmental controls allowing the ship to be nice and warm as she stretched out and showered. Not using the sonic to get a nice feel for it and getting a little food for herself while she smiled and ate while getting dressed when the ship came out of hyperspace over the planet in the system. The sensation of the force coming from the planet was there and it was strange.

Vinnon slept mostly fine, though she kept seeing the blue eyes in her dreams. She overslept somewhat, not intentionally, but more because of her experiences the previous day. When the ship dropped out of hyperspace, the ripples in the force from the planet made her eyes snap open. After a moment of confusion, she remembered where she was. Jumping up, she threw her boots own, grabbed a supply bar instead of something more tasty, and made her way to her new master, still clipping on her lightsaber with the supply bar in her mouth when found her.

"I'm sorry, I overslept."

"It is quite alright, you looked like you needed it." THe jedi master was looking at the planet from the viewscreen as they were heading down and she had the port open to display for them. She could see the large mountains, carved down deep as they were approaching and the computer read out parts of it. "There is structures built into the mountains but there is a lot of draft between. Some of the winds are reaching levels most fighters wouldn't like." She said it and found an area they could put the ship in as it was carved arches holding the entryway opened. THe ship going in and setting itself down with a small look on her face. "Make sure you have your field kit and pack. We have a chance to maybe solve a mystery."

Vinnon looked at the readings, if there was one thing she knew outside of the Force, it was mechanics. Well, that and sneaking around, it was a skill most Umbarans had. Ships, technology, and a bit of non-force healing about summed up what she knew that wasn't just the force, and the very basics of lightsaber training. After a moment, she pointed at a few other safe spots that weren't as obvious as this one, in case they needed them.

"I'll go get the rest of my stuff and meet you at the boarding ramp, a ship this size should be safe to land in these areas to. I'd keep an eye on this one, I don't know how the wind shifts during the day."

Vinnon nodded, hoping she ad helped before turning away to get the rest of her things, including a basic first aid kit, and the tools she used for her legs. A little extra weight, but she didn't know what to expect here. It didn't take her long, she was used to keeping her things packed, and then she was down to await her master and find out more of what was going on.

Wu nodded her head and was making a note of it with the display of a map she had on her chevron pad. THe holographic display though went around with the jedi master going into it and she could feel a small chill on her face. Raising the scarf around her neck and face as it still moved around behind her she had her saber on her hip looking out into the mountains themselves and these were some mountain peaks. "THat is quite a fall." She was looking at it and it went down far until the light couldn't be seen. She had checked out some parts of it here... She could see a pathway that had been cut along the edges and she was small enough to be able to fit wihtout it being a danger but the jedi master rolled her shoulders. "Alright padawan are you prepared?"

[member="Wu Yeoh-Mei"]

Vinnon double checked her lightsaber, her little hold out blaster, a final just in case, and her bags. Once everything was secured well, she nodded.

"Yeah I'm ready, lets...lets stay out of that wind. My legs are steady, but I'd rather not deal with that."

Vinnon did not draw her lightsaber, or even her blaster. If fighting happened, she would have time to draw, but nothing hostile was around. At least not for now. She looked around, taking note of various possible alternate paths, just in case, and prepared to follow her master.

"I'll stay behind you Master."

[member="Vinnon Varuut"]

A nod of her head as she started walking along one of the paths. THere was no real difference in the paths as both seemed to wind through the mountains as she started walking and thankfully it wasn't snow just wind and sun. THere wasn't a lot of cover but there was rocks to grip as the jedi master walked and went through the area. She smiled though standing there and looking out on some of it now. One of the open areas had sparce trees and streams that gleamed before falling over in dozens of little waterfalls. She went and looked over as there were some areas that the water went to. MOre carved domes that were overgrown with brush but the jedi master was moving and looking at what they had. "I don't see much, maybe they built underground?" She wasn't entirely sure but if they could do something here the jedi master got out a grapple and attached it so they could move around as she guided it to the other side when she threw it. "We can explore some of the ruins."

[member="Wu Yeoh-Mei"]

Vinnon swallowed with a slight pang of fear in her heart at the prospect of using a grapple to cross this terrain. She drew out her own grapple to follow her master, missing the first throw as she didn't put enough strength behind it. The second wasn't were she aimed, but it still hooked in and secured. She wasn't quite sure yet if they built underground, but she did have her own thoughts to add.

"Given the size of these cliffs and the wind, underground would be the most viable assuming they don't have the infrastructure or technology for permanent ray shields or some other such protection. Given what we can see, I'd my reasons as to why are just a guess, but it seems like most of it is underground. That said, I would be careful, given the overgrown nature, they might be unstable."

[member="Vinnon Varuut"]

She nodded in agreement, if it was overgrown it could mean unstable which was dangerous it could also mean that they were wrong in guessing. THis could just be like something they had made and lived somewhere else. THe jedi master moved to the grapple as she slid a small piece on it and moved off the stone into the air and she could feel an updraft on her scarf as it flowed behind her. She went forward and didn't feel any problems or instability when she landed on the ruins with her hand releasing and rolling into her shoulder with a look on her face. "Not so bad." A small smirk, some interest and she was motioning for her padawan to be able to come and join her.

Vinnon took a deep breath, swallowing her growing fear as she grasped her own line. After a small moment of hesitation, she swung over, slipping slightly on the line from her bad grip, but otherwise made it across safely. Glad to be back on solid-ish ground, she wrapped up her grapple and tucked the strands of hair that got knocked loosed in the swing back into the ponytail she wore. She looked around, taking in the scenery, despite the extreme danger of it all, she had to nod in appreciation.

"Umbara has nothing like this, just jungles filled with predators like the Vixus and Ranconr. Umbara is pretty yes, but...this is entirely different."

[member="Vinnon Varuut"]

She gave a nod of her head, while Atrisia and Tiantang had mountains and temples it was nothing like this.. usually you could see the bottom. "My homeworld is very flat and wet, we grow lots of crops... the few mountains are never this high." SHe smiled though and was walking as she did recall the temple and mountain her and Sukai had discovered. An altisian jedi temple that had been built where they had jedi tombs and practiced doing good for the people of the world. Wu was moving though and activated her glowrod to check out some of the darker areas. THe carved stone looked smooth and almost like vines as it wrapped around into hexigonal shapes with small slivers of metal. Reflecting th light and casting rooms and stairs that went down in orange light.

[member="Wu Yeoh-Mei"]

Vinnon didn't need a glowrod to see, Umbarans had very sharp eyes. Able to see in the dark, UV, and even to some degree infrared, though she did lose access to most colors when the light level was to low. She ran a hand along the smooth, carved stone, admiring the skill it must have took to carve something into such a shape. She was careful in her step, even isolated from the wind, snow and ice could creep into unexpected corners, and one never knew where some creature had made it's nest. Caves attracted many things after all, save places out of the weather, and away form a lot of larger predators.

"Any idea who built this place? Might give us an idea of where to look, or at least give us a better idea of the general layout."

[member="Vinnon Varuut"]

SHe was looking at it. "No idea yet, there were some temples and ruins I ahve explored before on other planets." She knew there were a lot of races in the galaxy and even more that had been around long before them who were now long gone. So anything could happen as she was moving down the stairs and she kept her light on her hip as it let the walls illuminate them. She was heading down slowly and carefully but it let her check out some of the small alcoves to try and find anything that might indicate who or what they had found. There was some boxes she finally found, discarded weapons but they were old and the power packs done. "Looks like someone was here but the crates seem to not be as old as the ruins."

[member="Wu Yeoh-Mei"]

The abandoned weapons made Vinnon nervous. Few people would leave behind a blaster unless they were rushed out or worse, dead. Well, they could also have been captured or enslaved or some other such thing, but Vinnon feared more. She cracked her own glowrod to ensure that she could see clearly the details inside, and cracked open one of the crates, speaking as she searched.

"I don't like that these were left here, weapons and supplies are not left behind so easily without good reason. Death, capture, or terror all could have forced them to flee."

Vinnon was looking for identifying marks, or labels, anything to tell her who owned them, and where they came from. Worst came worst, she could probably find serial numbers on the blasters, and at least find where they were bought, and maybe, if they were lucky, who bought them. Vinnon had little skill at using a blaster, even less than her lacking skills with the blade, but she knew how to take them apart, but first she wanted to check everything else.

"Well, if we know who came here, we might be able to find out what they were after."

[member="Vinnon Varuut"]

"Lets not get to far ahead yet." She said it but wasn't saying none of those were possible. THe jedi master crouched and looked at the blasters and then at the power cells. "THey are an older model and covered i enough dust to have been here for some time. Even down here it would eventually filter down and..." SHe trailed off holding some of them but mostly to get them out of the way. THe power packs were not depleted from being fired but from time. That can take centuries in some cases, the supplies look much the same. Some scanners without power and rations that have turned." She held up a few of the packs but there wasn't anything from this century. Wu kept looking though and spoke. "If something attacked them it could be long gone or passed away. We can plan for something dangerous but don't let thoughts get away of something lurking around... we should have seen more signs of something if anything was here."

[member="Wu Yeoh-Mei"]

"While what you say is true, I would still be careful. It need not be a living thing that drove them out, droids from the Clone Wars can still be found active, and ones even older than that."

Vinnon said with a small shrug. She was still curious who these things belonged to, depending on how old and rare they were, they would be good to keep track of for archival and museum purposes. That said, Vinnon wasn't entirely sure she wanted to know what drove them out, but they were here to investigate the strange ripples in the force. Vinnon rose from her crouch with a shrug, and moved forward to shed some light on the nearest exit, wandering just how much of a maze this place was, and wishing she had a droid with her to help map this place out fully.

[member="Vinnon Varuut"]

"Also true." She said it with a grin on her face while she was moving now. Going deeper as the mountain opened a little into a walkway. The sun coming down as water fell to the one side. Misty rising up and obscuring it where she was looking. "Droids could still be around but this system is.... there isn't much. JUst that expeditions that were sent here disappear or are never heard from." She put it to look at and there was a small map of the way they had gone through it. SHe had the ships beacon going while the force itself was speaking and getting stronger the lower she got to the ground. "Whatever we are searching for is lower down."

[member="Wu Yeoh-Mei"]

Vinnon nodded and started to move forward again, careful to check for any traps that may well be in such a place. She had always been a cautious type when she could keep her head level. Better safe than sorry. Once she was sure the way was relatively safe, she straightened to get a better look at the walls, looking for anything that her more sensitive eyes might pick up. Sighing at the apparent smoothness of it all, she kept moving forward and down, where she could, always careful to keep her master in sight. If there were any nasty surprises, two heads were better than one, if she could keep her head.

Following the feeling in the force the jedi master didn't know what was worse... That they were alone and there didn't seem to be anything like traps or information... or that they were just going on some wild bantha chase to tr and figure out a mystery.... She wasn't certain either way but they might be able to do a number of different things down here as the stairway opened up to a larger cavern and fissure going through the mountain. Down deeper and off further in. The soft sound of echos came up as she looked down. "Machinery maybe." THe clinking sound was faint and she had to strain her ears to hear it when they got closer but the jedi master was scanning to maybe find something.

[member="Wu Yeoh-Mei"]

Vinnon drew her lightsaber, though she refrained from igniting it once the machinery sounded. Whatever this was, she hoped they didn't have to fight, but if they did she'd be ready. She muttered a thanks for for Umbaran eyes as she looked around. The sound of the machinery had her on edge, but whatever it was it was distant. The scale of the place was awe inspiring, most Umbaran structures were all sterile, and white, stuffed to the brim with the most advanced tech the builder could get their hands on. This was quaint, the stone was different than anything else she'd seen.

"Maybe, either way it's a sign that something down here is still working."
